Another gem. I wish more tutors were as concise and clear as you are. Also you give out the written instructions, which save tons of time and aggravation. Thank you, Colin! Keep posting!!!!
This concise (less than 5 minutes) and useful video makes PS more user friendly. I wish more instructors followed your formula for creating and posting these kind of videos.
Thank you. You are the “Bob Ross” of photoshop. Clear instructions, easy to follow along, and easy to listen. I am finding, “Happy little tools in photoshop”. God bless my friend. 😊
I can see I am going to have to make an effort and start using it. The auto mask feature could be a time saver. The Adjustment Brush started off being a huge PITA because I remove the B shortcut for everything but the ordinary paint brush, so when the Adjustment Brush was added, I was wondering why I kept getting Adjustment layers when I first used the brush.
Awesome information yet again. I keep forgetting about the adjustment brush but this really grabbed my attention given the tools that are associated with it. Nothing revolutionary but it is great to have these tools/options built in with each other and should faciltate my workflow! Thanks again for sharing your knowledge with us and Stay Safe!
One thing I didn’t think about is ability to use the camera raw filter in a smart object and use the Gen Fill in that filter, not able to do that as PS alone on a smart object!!!
Haven’t had time to try this yet, but it looks a lot like the AI selection method in Capture One. If it is, that will be a very helpful advance in Photoshop, because presently I find Capture One easier and mostly more accurate first time.
Thank you so much for very helpful tutorial videos. I think it's one of our biggest problems. After editing photo on mac pro, i send to iphone and color and luminosity seem different. I dont mention the screen calibration of Mac Pro. Do you have any suggestions on how we can solve this?
My complaint isn't the clickbait title. It's that when you make titles like this, it makes it difficult to search the specific video when I remember it later. "This" is impossible to search for anything specific, even just searching my watch history.
Following exact as explained in this video. When I do the rollover over the person, it doesn't isolate different areas depending where I move the cursor over, adjustment brush selects always the whole person. How can make it so the cursor isolates only the confined area?
Another good tip..BUT..I really feel we are becoming overwhelmed with all the P/S updates and additions. Simply cannot keep up with them all. It is Photoshop overload.

Thank Colin for such a PRACTICAL tip. It works well for me.

That is so useful. Its always a challenge to dark areas of varying intensity or depth.

Thanks for pointing this out 😊😊
Any time!
Thank you for this tutorial. Color grading of the first photo was beautiful, I'd love to see how you achieved it.
I’ve done a few color grading tuts, but maybe due for a new one soon
Looking forward to it
Did not know about the ability to use the cursor to adjust setting. Fantastic
It’s a useful option. Hold down the Shift key to do the opposite and make it go faster
Thank you
You're welcome
Thanks!
Welcome!
Great tutorial ! Thank you lot Mr Smith

Thanks, great information

My pleasure
thanks, Mr Smith.. kindly can you make a video on Mask and Layer's Physical actions? A mask can lay on the bottom or top of a layer in practice?
Hi there I have made videos on masks and layers before, you can find them on my channel
Great tutorial. Thanks
Thanks Colin, that was brilliant 👍🏻

Velmi skvělá a užitečná funkce štětce ve Photoshopu ok.👍👏

Oh yeah, that one got me a couple of times too
Thanks Colin, very useful information.

Make sure you are using the same color profile. Apple devices use p3
@@photoshopcafe i use sRGB , i will check it again thank you so much

You can save it to playlist, not sure if you were aware? I’ll update the title in a few days. I usually do if it’s vague.
@photoshopcafe yeah, I have a ton of stuff in playlists. It's good that you update it later, too. Thanks for responding.
Brilliant thanks!
Good to know...
Very Useful - as always from the cafe....
Thanks! 😃

Every photo is different. Some it only selects the entire person (I prefer that usually to be honest)
Useful
Yes is it useful. Where does the extra piece "Apply to Object section" on the right of the menu bar come from please, I don't see that.
It’s on the task bar. I have it floating at the top
@@photoshopcafe thank you Colin.
Where are your written instructions. Thanks Colin.
Still only in PS Beta? I have the latest PS but the adjustment brush isn't there. I have too much trouble using PS Beta.
This is in the main build (non beta)
This vid will help you locate it: HELP! New Photoshop update MISSING!

Nice!
Thanks!
Its a full time job keeping up with updates in PS and LR.
It’s my full time job :)
Certainly makes the Adjustment Brush more useful.
Yes it does!
Awesome channel you have sadly I will unsubscribe as I left Adobe like many others for obvious reasons. Any chance to make videos on affinity?😂
Is this a protest post? It’s not going to accomplish anything, I don’t work for Adobe.
Try as I might, I just can't make that work! Oh well...
Another good tip..BUT..I really feel we are becoming overwhelmed with all the P/S updates and additions. Simply cannot keep up with them all. It is Photoshop overload.
That’s what I’m here for, to help you :)
