    When the day comes is so so good! Try out Emma St. Clair (Love Cliches series), Pepper Basham (Skylar or Freddy & Grace Mystery Series), Denise Hunter and dear Henry, Love Edith by Becca Kinzer. Happy Life if Isadora Bentley is one of my most recent favorites!

    Looking forward to all the new clean recs! I still read everything but I'm over books just being smutty and no plot! So, from the books you have that I've read I can tell you that there is 1 intimate scene in Divine Rivals but it is not spice or smut and it's a very quick, very appropriate part of the book. You could even just skip it. I've been finding I enjoy YA fantasy more lately because it's not full of spice. I don't remember anything bad in Powerless. There may have been a curse or 2 but I don't even remember them which makes me think it was pretty clean. Kristen Hannah's The Women probably had cursing, I mean it's soldiers at war. I do think there was sex but I guess, to me anyway, there's a difference in sex in a book and smut in a book, if that makes any sense. Kristen Harmel, I've read 2 of her books and really enjoyed them and I don't remember any cursing or spice. And Sarah Adams, I have read 1 book by her and I don't even remember much of it to be honest, just underwhelming. From what I know the last book she released has a chapter with spice but she says in the beginning of the book which chapter it is and you can totally skip it and it won't affect the story. Before that I believe she only wrote clean, so the 2 books you have should be clean.

      First of all, I appreciate you so so much!🥰♥️ and thank you so much for this!! And I really haven’t read much YA fantasy but am really excited to! I also can’t wait to read more historical, I find when I do read them I love them so I want to make more effort to read them. Sarah Adams’ books have also been underwhelming for me. I’ve only read one but am going to give them another go, so we shall see 😬

    I’m loving seeing your thoughts on the direction your reading is going, so looking forward to that video. I can’t believe you got rid of ALL your books but for like, 10 you’ve read! 😮 I would LOVE to do the same and get all my TBR onto just a cart…ugh I don’t know if I could. I loooove Redeeming Love!

      If you really want to I totally believe you could!🥰 it was hard at first, but worth it for me! It also really helped me to do it in parts! I certainly didn’t do all of it at once. I went back every single day and pulled and just kept finding myself pulling more.
      I can’t wait to jump into Redeeming Love!💗

    In five years was amazing I LOVED it. Tear jerker though. I know there is some romance element within the story line but I don’t believe there was any spice- it’s been a few years since I read it though but that doesn’t stick out to me

    I totally agree with you on not rereading thrillers. It kinda sucks because I want that added value of being able to reread books I purchase, but it's hard once you know the twist 😩

    • @dayswiththedoyles
      @dayswiththedoyles  2 месяца назад

      Exactly! I mean, I guess it would be fun to go back and see the clues before that I missed, but knowing the big twist makes it not as enjoyable to reread!

    We should buddy read Kristin Hannah sometime...I still have True Colors and Winter Garden sitting on my shelves. She is SUCH a gifted writer, but I'm still on the fence about whether or not she's "for me". TBH I probably won't get around to her again until next year. lol

    My 2 favorite Francine Rivers books are The Atonement Child and The Sin Eater. Redeeming Love was good but hard for me to read at times because of things the MC went through as a child.
