Great batrep! Beautiful armies, particularly that Abaddon, wonderful paint job. Couple notes in case they come up in the future and/or in tournaments. You were right about the No Prisoners scoring. A character AND his unit count for 2 units in No Prisoners. Same with other "Kill" secondaries. Also, Helbrecht's Primaris Crusader Squad could not advance and charge T2. Primaris Crusader Squads reroll advance and charge rolls, but the only source of advance+charge in BT outside of other detachment rules is Grimaldus' ability for his unit. Also Grimaldus' Servitors can in fact tank wounds for the unit, as they do not have the character keyword, while he does. Not sure if it factored into the saves in the end. Happy to see the Templars finally on the channel! Looking forward to more!
Thank you very much for the detailed comment! Regarding servitors, yes, we ended up using them as ablative wounds anyway so no problem there. Regarding all other BT comments - I’ll make sure to let Spencer know and we’ll fix it next time around!
@ajjohnson7947 it definitely didn’t feel like it at all, don’t worry! I enjoy reading thorough comments like it, they are very educating and informative!
great table lighting, also excellent work with your choice of editing - you cut out boring bits and kept in the interesting stuff. Also the way you addressed some of the rules mistakes with on screen comments was good at keeping me watching. The low edges on your dice tray made me anxious that dice were going to bounce out. I cant wait to see how you grow as a battle reports channel - keep up the Templar and marine content.
Thank you so much! Comments as this one motivate immensely!!! Actually now editing a new bat rep, so stay tuned and thank you again for being an awesome viewer!
sword brethern are 3 wounds boys -.- and the servitors get the 4+ inva, that obliterator overwatch was... Also the abilities (not stratagems) can be used from inside the carrier and even from reserves so they would get a 5+++...
Thank you! Regarding 3W, yes, already noted that for future games. So oblits would most likely kill half the squad 😄 Regarding transports - unless you know of any other rule source: “Unless otherwise stated, units cannot do anything or be affected in any way while they are embarked.” And here’s one from Rules Commentary: “Embarked Units: Units embarked within a Transport do not count as being on the battlefield for any rules purposes. This means that, unless explicitly stated otherwise, embarked units cannot do anything (e.g. shoot, fight, use abilities, etc.). Similarly, you cannot select an embarked unit as a target for any rules, including Stratagems.” So Spencer was correct not to use 5+++. As for model stats - first game for the faction for both of us in this edition, so mistakes are bound to happen 😅
@@vfminiaturesto be honest, it has its pros and cons. The pro is that if ld test is failed, and you roll high on the mortal wounds, and a terminator dies, it happens after he fought. So you dont lose the model before the shooting or fighting happens. The con: you will only get the extra cp with Abby after the attacks has been done, not before, so you cant use that extra cp to do some buff (like a profane zeal). But you can use for an infernal rite, BEFORE your enemy hits back.

@@vfminiatures Absolutely. Didn't wish to come off as nitpicking, as the videos was great and the game looked like a lot of fun

Always Tank Shock with the Redemptor… 😉
Don’t forget Helbrecht’s mortal wounds in combat… it goes off each fight phase.

Neophytes are my new fav model
Dark pact always goes off. You have to roll the ld test for dark pact AFTER you resolved the attacks.
Got it, thanks!

For the Emperor!
Dont sword brethren have 3 wounds?
Lol, Spencer told me it’s 2 and I believed him😂😂😂 We need a rematch 💪
Fun stuff! 😄
Yea.....I'm gonna need a tutorial on how to paint CSM black legion from you.
Judging by how many painting tutorial requests I get - I need to reorient channel into a painting+tactics 😂
spencer had a long night
I'd love to see an in depth video of Chaos Space Marines since they are so hot right now
Will do💪
Your own models dont block line of sight (that redeemer overwatch on chaos first turn
