Dean I passed my SIE exam yesterday after only 2 weeks of studying. I got a job at Morgan Stanley and this was a requirement before I started the position so I was incredibly nervous but just wanted to tell you from the bottom of my heart how important this channel was for me for my success! I will be contacting you in the next couple months to do private tutoring for my 66! You’re the man Dean!!

Kudos on your SIE testing victory! The journey of 3 and 0 begins with 1 and 0.

Thanks for popping in. Love when victorious test takers pop in. Great for Morale. I am like the fed trying to dent demand by raising rates. Lol. Demand for tutoring has been so high I have raised my hourly to $250 an hour. Still completely booked!

What do you mean exactly by saying that the accrued interest is $0 if the interest payable date is the settlement date? Do you mean that the full $4,000 worth of accrued interest is owed to and paid to the seller?

    • @Series7Guru

I mean what I said. If the buyer owns the bond on the interest payment date there is no accrued interest owed to the seller because the buyer will have owned the bond for the entire 180 day period of the next payment date.

@@Series7Guru Alright, so settlement on the interest payment date causes a clean split where both buyer and seller get the full amount of interest during their respective holding periods given that they hold it for the entire six-month time frame. Thank you for clearing that up!

Hi Dean! Do you have a donation button / tab ? I have watched countless videos - been starting and stopping my SIE prep over the last year and picking back up now. I'd like to give a donation I can afford now until a larger donation is in budget :) Thx SO much for building this community for all of us baby brokers

No worries. There is no donations necessary. You can do a superchat which is essentially the same.
