It's also worth mentioning that this car (as well as the Charger that preceded it) were really just facelifted Chrysler Cordobas. The Mirada that succeeded it was a Cordoba sibling too.
Great video, thank you! I fell in love with my moms Magnum and learned to drive on it when I was 16. Bought my own when I was 25, fixed it up and then it got stolen. Fast forward to 2024 and I now have 3 that will be restored to at least 2 working vehicles. Are you sure this is the King's signature? I have one cars dash and visor signed by him, photograhic proof, and it looks nothing like this signature....
In the 90s to early 2000a my father collected these having 6. Two being GTs and a single T- top. He sold off 5 when he decided to move to the philippines for missionary work and I got 1. Was young and dumb and sold it a year later to help buy a "kooler" Mustang. Alot of great memories with my father and those cars.
i gotta say, as an owner of a car (last gen roadmaster) with a license plate fuel cap, i love it. The locking click is absolutely deafening when screwing the cap back in though 😂 great video!
I own four 1979 dodge Magnums and I figure they handle very well. The magnum Gt had an extra thick front sway bar and fast ratio power steering. Maybe I’m one heck of a driver but it’s the best handling car I have ever had.
Despite the malaise of this model. I ended up owning 4 of them in various states of disrepair. Love these cars!

Yesss you mentioned the Marty Robbins career! What a little known fact of NASCAR history lol. Great video man.
Thanks for sharing. Such a beautiful car. I didn't know they had hideaway headlights.

The owner has pictures of Richard signing himself.
That’s cool, so do I. Which is why I wonder why the two of them look so different.
Regardless, he has a beautiful car and I enjoyed your video 😊

great video!
I loved the 79 that I had. Mine had a moon roof. I definitely remember the soft suspension on turns or bumps.

Well done, Wookie! There's a strange charm to this car, even under the circumstances in which it was made.
Been traveling all day. Finally getting to watch!!!
A couple of errors, but interesting piece you made. Are you familiar with the 78-79 Dodge Magnum Owners Group? 3700 members. Join us!
WOOKIE- Are you going to do a video one day on the Dodge Mirada, that is my FAV car of all time!!!
Hopefully one day! The cars in my videos are completely volunteer based, so hears hoping one day I get that opportunity!

Much much better looking than the Cordoba/Charger that came right before it.

My Aunt had a Pea Green one
