Greetings once again Dr. Ian from Georgia, U.S.A. I just wanted to send a message of thanks for recommending the MP110. As you might remember I had issues with my 30 year old AudioTechnica/Signet carts. The AT "house sound" was really getting me down. Elevated upper mids and high frequencies that were smeared at the uppermost frequencies. I purchased the MP110 with the hopes that it would eliminate those issues even if maybe, at the expense of some detail and spatial information. I'm very happy to tell you that the MP110 was the superior performer right from the "get-go". It allayed any reservations I had then and ... Now that its had time to play in, is truly a wonderful upgrade to my very expensive carts from the past. Like a rich cup of coffee compared to a thin, weak cup of tea, the MP110 portrays instrumentation with a much fuller, true to life timbre and weight. Piano is so realistic. This carries over into female vocals. Massed strings separate as the body resonance of violins and cellos are brought out. .. not shrill or smeary like my AT's The MP110 is truly magical and much more than I could have hoped for! Right now I've been enjoying recordings I've thought were difficult to listen to with my previous carts but this Nagoaka seems to be able to work its magic on everything I place on my turntable.I look forward to hearing the Nagoaka up-models at some point but right now I'm just enjoying what the MP110 offers. It's amazing so I'm in no hurry to change a thing! Many, many thanks from a vinyl buddie in The States! Once again, I bow to your sagacity! Major kudos to you. Don Vito .. 👑👏👊👍🏆🥇🥈🥉
Dearest Brother Don :-D!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am very, very happy to receive yet again, your time and kindness to me, an old friend.... Thank you for sharing all your experience accumulated all these years. I bow to you too, my friend, in reciprocity of your friendship and warmth bestowed and offered all these time. Thank you Buddy. Warmest Regards again, to you and your family and your community. Be strong, safe and healthy, always. ~ ian.
@@HiViNywschannel Greetings Dr.Ian, All-time Grand Champion and ... International Ambassador of Vinyl.🤴🏆🥇 Thank you for getting back to me. I thought I'd report back and I hope I'm not wearing out my welcome! I was born in Philadelphia. Yesterday was my birthday and the day before was Rachmaninoff's birthday. I turned 68. I don't know about Rachmaninoff ... but ... I DO know that the Philadelphia Orchestra was his all-time favorite orchestra. He guest-conducted on several occasions. They were a huge sounding orchestra .. largely because they doubled up on parts and the musicians all played each other's parts together. They played with unparalleled fire, precision and virtuosity during the era of their popularity from the 1930's through the early 2000's.They were/are the most recorded orchestra in history. They however were somewhat difficult to record ... because of their huge, "plush" sound. They could overpower the recording systems of the day. This required expert recording techniques. As a result, many of their recordings were considered too bright, thin and deemed almost unlistenable by "audiophiles"(who usually own MC or ... AT carts... lol). The MP110 put any of that to rest for me yesterday. My listening session yesterday-on my birthday, was mostly Rachmaninoff(my favorite composer) and ALL Philly Orch(my favorite orchestra) in honor of Rachmaninoff's birthday and mine too... lol! The MP110 is the key that has unlocked the door on these recordings to bring about as YOU say a "you are there" quality. As a young boy/man I have heard the orchestra live on several occasions and yesterday I was transported back in time and place to The Philadelphia Academy Of Music and/or The Robin Hood Dell(Summer open air concerts) where they performed. Any sense of bright or thin was not there. I heard full timbres and detailed separation in all instrumentation. Massed strings were separated and as clear as a live performance ... seemed magical! I can't remember enjoying these recordings any more than I did yesterday! I just wanted to thank you once again, for recommending the MP110. It has brought my 60 year old recordings to life in a way I've never heard before. Major kudos to you! Your vinyl buddie here in The States! ... Vic aka DonVito... 👍👊🍷🍾🎂🍰☕👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
ruclips.net/video/O1LQ6r4n4mk/видео.html Has anyone tried to check the MP110's frequency response? It is the worst that I have seen, but it can be improved: ruclips.net/video/oUGWnGwI4_o/видео.html
Brother, thank you for catching up and your kind encouragement!! I hope you enjoy your vinyl analogue journey with lots of friends around you!!! Family too! Listen, get soaked in, and enjoy!! Best REgard Buddy!!!! ~ ian.
OMG! My buddy bought the MP110 because of this review and put it up against his favorite cartridge, the Audio Technica VM760SLC ($700) and the NagaokaMP110 beat it hands down, wasn't even close. I'm sold!
Johnny Jams Stunning. WE ALL NOW, HAVE OUR TRUMP CARD 💪😄✌!!!!!!!! I continually am mesmerized by this cartridge, as i review more and more cartridges, especially more expensive ones than it😄😄😄. I continue to shake my head and smile in pleasure as i put back this cart to listen after other carts. You guys are having it gooood , hi five👐😄👐😄!! Thank you for writing back and Warmest Regards !! ~ ian
It will physically fit. I have the JNP200 stylus on my MP-110 body. Electrically, the cartridge bodies are supposedly different. So you will gain the improved tracking qualities of the JNP150 stylus, but may not enjoy all of the benefits of a true MP-150.
Thanks to your superb reviews, I went ahead and purchase the schiit mani and the nagaoka mp-110. What a fantastic combination! I'm enjoying my record collection like never before. The cartridge was an AMAZING upgrade over my 2M Blue. Keep up the excellent work you do on this channel.
Dear Brother Daniel :-D, Thank you for your time and writing in. I am very happy you have what is; Stupendous vinyl analogue playback!!!!!! Warmest Regards!!! ~ ian.
Ian, i dont know how to thank you for your minocious and objective work. Following your advices i've upgrade my technics 1200 mk3d - from japan lol- with nag 110mp and i have a doubt with vta. Since with this tt is easy to regulate the vta...What tonearm heigth value do you think is optimus in order to maximize the dynamic range? My tracking force is 1.9 and the tonearm is paralel to the platter. Best wishes ian and a thousands of thanks for being so generous
I just set up my new Nagaoka MP-110,through the Schiit Mani and So far I just listened Two albums Syncronicity,The Police.and Dreamboat annie,Heart, and let my tell you that that as soon as I play the first song "Magic Man" is saw the diference betwen the Naga.110 and The Ortofon Red. the definition on the treble and the detail on the bass the Nagaoka MP 110 is fantastic. Thank you Ian for your time.
Dear Brother Andres!!! Hi!! How are you doing with your Klipsch!! Polk as well if i remember correctly :-D.. hahaha.. have fun, have fun my friend!!! Thank you for catching up and giving us your testimonial on this superb MP-110 cartridge too!! Warmest Regards, ~ ian.
Thank you for all of your hard work with these reviews Ian. I have had my MP-110 installed for 1 week now, while it is not yet full broken in I can say it is an improvement over my previous 2m Red. I agree with you on all points regarding the sound, this is a stellar cartridge. Cheers!
Dear Brother Wes, Thank you for really getting one for yourself despite your 2m red that is still fully functional, and sharing with us your experience. Thank you for your kindness too! Your time to share with us is valued. I am very happy that you can enjoy your music and numerous records even better :-D. Sincerely, Ian.
I can totally attest to this. I'm coming from a 2M Red to the MP-110 as well and paired with the Schiit Mani it's been just sooo good, and my system isn't even that high-end. What a great duo.
I too, echo all the hard work you put in. Sometimes I wonder if you are auditioning for conductor of the SSO? Seriously, how do you survive since you are obviously not paid by the products you review?
Thank you! I was lost and listening to digital. I found you which peaked my interest. A Denon DP-300F and I just added this cart. It’s a new world and a much better place. Now I’m already wondering about upgrading my turntable. Enjoy the music and thank you again for sharing your love and expertise of all things analog!
Thanks Ian for your excellent review and dedication to the task. Subsequent to watching your video I bought MP110 as a replacement for my other 110. A Denon DL110 which had come to the end of its life. The Nagaoka is as detailed as the Denon but more involving as it brings a bit of grit to proceedings, in a good way. You can listen in and pick out individual instruments or sit back and enjoy the whole. It sounds great for rock, my copy of Houses of the Holy hasn’t sounded so big or alive before; for jazz, the horns have the rasp and reed they need - Eric Dolphy has never sounded so in the room! Classical recordings take you into the concert hall. A cracking cartridge for the money.
Dear Brother!! What amazing and heartfelt ways you describe what you hear and how you feel. I love the way you said "You can listen in and pick out individual instruments or sit back and enjoy the whole."!!! Rock big and alive! Jazz with the rasp and reed! Classical - you are there! Wow, you make a better reviewer than me definitely!!!!!! Sums everything up so succinctly!!! Thank you for your kind time writing to all of us :-D!!! Warmest, best regards Buddy!!!!
Dear Sir, thank you too for being a great understanding buddy. We keep listening and sharing the great vinyl analogue sound!!!👍🧘♂️😄💪☘🎶🌱🌱🌱warmest regards to you and your family too!
yupimbackk Brudder.... it is always my dream to open up an eatery with my wife and serve food that makes people think that "Life is Good" and to bring peace to them.... well i cannot cook so well...and thus i am soooo happy to hear from you that my hard work and videos are able to do the same for you😄😉😀!!!! Thank YOU BROTHER!!! Chill out on your Saturday night bro!!
Ian, Thanks for the fine reviews on cartridges and all the other great info on equipment. I discovered your channel last year and have enjoyed it immensely while I am recovering from a stroke. I bought a MP 110 and am very happy. All the best to you and your wife!
Dearest Dale, I read with empathy your medical condition you have experienced. Do recover well and may you always find joy and warmth with all the family love and support you have. I had something not of the same extent as you did: a broken right femur some years back requiring 2 years on crutches, and a prolapsed intervetebral L4/L5 disc 15th Aug 2016 with operation on 17th Aug 2016. I have been doing what my surgeon/physiotherapists advised me to do: go freestyle swimming everyday to rehabilitate myself and condition up. I am a doctor too, so i must be a good patient. I wish you all the calm, peace and strength buddy and friend. Yours, ~ ian.
Thank you again Isaac! :-D Grateful for your kind support and encouragement again!!! Several of my friends have bought the P3 with the Nagaoka MP110 cartridge and gotten much, much better results than with the Rega Elys2 cartridge. Just for your information ;-) Best Regards :-D - ian
Brother... Your ears are in the 110's good hands😄🎶🎵🎶🎶💪💪💪!!! I am currently doing the $149 Goldring E2 vs $119 AT VM95EN cartridge shoot-out. The result: E2 wins. I have also runned the test of the E2 vs the MP-110. The result: the MP-110 trashes it😄!!!!! You're in the zone🌌🎶🎵🎶🎶Brother! Best Regards for your vinyl'ing journey my friend!!!
@@HiViNywschannel Yes!!! I follow all your videos. I'm a jazz pianist and got into improving my system because of you! As I sat to listen to Sinatra's Only The Lonely album this morning, when the Nagaoka AND the Schitt Mani started to pump some sound I literally cried. As if the recording session was for the first time revealing little bits of shinning lights through my focal speakers. I grew up with vinyl in Brasil, listening to Jobim, Luiz Eça, Djavan and others. Then, into the digital domain. And when I turned 35 ( 10 years ago) I went back to vinyl. Oh my God, how much I missed those sounds! Blessings to you and your family. Continue on! Gus
Thank you for this. Here's my two cents: When I compared my Nagaoka MP 110H against my Grado Black I found that the Naga had clear highs and mids, with the same (possibly better---can't tell) bass. I used Yes, "State Of Play." I came away realizing I was going to have to back up my LPs with the Naga---hands down. Grado bass is warm and full, but a touch boomy. The bass drum "attack" on the Naga sounds natural, like the drum is in the room; not so the Grado. I had to send my Grado Green 2 back, due to an increase in "Grado hum," which was not bad in my GB1. So, I am now re-recording all of my LPs using the Naga. I keep the GB1 available if I want deep bass and less highs and mids.
Greetings from California Ian! I followed your recommendation by getting the Nagaoka MP-110 cart. My humble system consists of a Pioneer PL-518 TT, Onkyo Integra A-9711 integrated amp, and Mission Argonaut 780 Mark II speakers. The cart performance is awesome. Alive and immersed. Thank you so much for your work and no BS approach to systems. Peace out and Good Vibrations!
Ian, thank you again for another great review. I just can't stop listening to this cartridge on my Technics SL-1200Mk2 paired with a Schiit Mani pre-amp. It. Is. Phenomenal. Currently listening to Fleetwood Mac Rumors and I am able to hear the full range of the music very clearly. You don't suppose Nagaoka is putting upgraded stylii in their MP-110 cart? I am VERY surprised at the capability of this cartridge. A perfect match for my TT.
Hahaha... Nagaoka putting upgraded stylii in their MP-110 cart? :-D... a fellow retailer in Singapore went up to poke his nose in Nagaoka speaking to their people and looking at their productions.... insider news: Nagaoka produces stylii for almost 90% of the world's styli sold. My goodness.
I was all set to purchase an Ortofon 2m Red when I decided to do a little more research last minute. That’s when I found this glowing review of the MP-110. Your high praise of the cartridge convinced me to spend the extra $20 on the Nagaoka and, my already high expectations were exceeded by this amazing cartridge! Thank you for an unbiased and comprehensive review!
Blake Sexton Dear Buddy💪 yes of course! The MP-110 outperforms the 2M Red by eons. Help yourself Brother👋😄✌! Warmest Regards! Thank you for your kind time catching up too. Anytime my friend.
hi Ian! Me again :) Finally tried MP-110 last Saturday and I will say this short and sweet..... everything you said about the Mani - MP-110 combo is ABSOLUTELY TRUE! And to think that I was somewhat afraid to replace my AT-440MLb because of the sound improvement the Mani has brought to my system (at least to my ears). I was fooled for a very loooooong time by the supposed superiority of micro line stylus as opposed to ellipticals. This cheap looking, cheaply priced Nagaoka MP-110 changed all that! I never thought my system could sound this good! Turn table - Technics SL-1200MKII Phono-pre - Schiit Mani (formerly MF-V90 LPS) Cart - Nagaoka MP-110 (formerly AT-440MLb) Preamp - Yamana CX-1000 Poweramp - Emotiva XPA-2 Speakers - Magnepan MG12 So one last thing.... is the MP-200 better? Oh this never ends! My sincerest and heartfelt thanks to you my friend! Danny (from the Philippines)
DanLop gmail i second every thing that you have discovered and stated Sir😄!! 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪 Thank you brother Danny for coming by and catching up again!!!!! Warmest Regards, ian😄.
Hi! Great to read your review. I currently run an at440 and have the same "fear" you had regarding tracking because of the microline stylus. It's a relief to read your experience. So the 110 tracks as well as the 440? That's great to know! I don't have the schiit Mani as I use the built-in preamp of my Cambridge integrated amp. But if the combo sounds as great as you say I might as well give it a try too... Thanks!!
I can't believe how good this is, 15 hours in and it is beautiful sounding. My system is modest but suits me. Savoy Brown never sounded so good. Thank you Ian, you have the best channel on RUclips
Brother, enjoy your Savor Brown :-D!!!!! Brother, please enjoy your tremendous vinyl journey!!!!! :-D I am sure!!! The MP-110 is a permanent fixture in my home too... too good to be true!!! ~ ian.
This is an outstanding cart. Maybe the best I've heard. Keep in mind my basis for comparison is the Clearqudio Concept MC cart which retails for $1000+. Granted, I was never very taken with the Clearaudio, but the Nagaoka just walks all over it. Completely blows it away. And the Nag is 1/10 the price. Amazing. Also, the cart only has about 2 hours on it. It should be brittle sounding but it's not. I can't even imagine the audio I'm going to be getting after 30 or 40 hours... FYI: the Nag is being driven by an SL 1200MK3D with a Lehmann Audio Black Cube preamp. It's a phenomenal combo. I have my buddy Ian to thank for bringing this cart to my attention. Thanks, Ian!
Brother, I really need to give you the BIGGEST KUDOS FOR BEING SO BRAVE and have this amazing swagger of yours to cut through the path ahead confidently: selling your ClearAudio Concept +MC cart and replacing it with the legend: your superb refurbished running perfectly as new SL1200Mk3D. I kowtow to you really.... this is really inspiring. TRULY, TRULY BRILLIANT, SHARP AND RESOURCEFUL.
In my opinion, the sound quality of the Clearaudio turntable and cart was only okay. The sound quality of the SL 1200 and Nagoka MP-110 is superb.....and I purchased both of them based on your advice. Thanks!
I should add, I've never, ever heard vinyl sound this great. It's so full and rich and completely balanced with the Nag cart. By the way, I've also owned the Bang & Olufsen Beogram 8000 turntable back in the day, and I've also used the legendary Denon DL-110 cart. My current 1200/MP-110 setup CRUSHES everything I've owned before.
How I wish I can give your comment a thousand thumbs up. Superb my friend. Your past ownership and personal experience with that Beogram 8000 turntable, Denon DL-110, and more, is priceless. Thank you for sharing with me, my friend.
Your knowledge and expertise led me there. If it weren't for your videos I wouldn't have my current setup. I think I'm going to have to try the 150 stylus one of these days. Thanks again!!
I wanted to upgrade my cartridge for a while and spent a lot of time researching. Your detailed analysis sealed the deal on this one and it arrived in the mail today. All I can say is that I'm absolutely floored. I tested it with a copy of Bryter Layter by Nick Drake, and the separation of instruments and vocals was immediately noticeable. This thing packs on hell of a punch. Thanks for the fantastic review!
Dear Buddy👋😄!!! Thank you for your kind words and friendship. I am very happy to have helped. I've been listening nonstop for the past two hours since 9am this morning (it is a public holiday today in Singapore) with the MP-110 too!!! ✌😄it is a crazy cart!!!!!! And Buddy, i do have the Black1 too for the past 3 years! And recommended it much in my past review. Keep your Black1 brother....coz the Prestige Series2 have some issues which i will reveal in my upcoming review. I will definitely choose the Black1 over the Black2. HI FIVE👋😄🤗and may we continue to enjoy our vinyl analog journey with more and more buddies and friends!!!!!! Warmest Regards Sir!
Ian, if you ever get the chance to borrow the NAGAOKA MP-500 from your dealer, please do as I'd love to hear your views. I bought the MP-110 after your excellent review. Nagaoka have always made impressive cartridges, and having the chance to hear the flagship MP-500 in my own system (sadly for not very long) I've already started saving. Works beautifully with the Schiit Mani ;-)
Dearest Chris, Secret just for you: I have just bought and taken ownership of the MP150, MP200 and MP500 amongst other cartridges recently. I will do my best for all of you. Working really hard on it :-D We shall see! Thank you very, very much and I am very touched and HUMBLED that you took my recommendation to get the MP110. This cartridge is a crazy performance cartridge just like the Schiit Mani. I can happily live on the rest of my life with the Mani+MP110. Such bliss!!!!!!!!!!! :-D.......... Best, best regards Chris!for you and your family, - ian :-)
HiViNyws channel Ooh, I'm seriously looking forward to your views, Ian. Really exciting 😃 I only know of the MP500 I first heard it in a very high end system, and I will say it's the best I've heard Vinyl. I had a chance to use it in my setup and it made my MP110 sound thin. The same character but more depth & details with fabulous dynamics. The MP110 is still a stunning cartridge but the MP500 is the grownup version - a progressive development. The Schiit Mani seems to squeeze a lot from it, though I suspect the more high end you go, the better it will sound 🎶
Chris Bishop awooww you had the chance to listen to the MP500! That's greeaaattt!!!! :-D LUCKY YOU!!!! CHRIS, thank you for telling me all these. Hahaha: I feel excited on a Monday morning 9am in Japan now (in the suburbs in Saitama prefecture at my in-laws' home) hearing you! Thank yoooou!!!
Dear Buddy :-D... thank YOU for coming by catching up!!!!! May you and your community be strong in resolve in this uneasy period. We are in this all together.
THANK YOU so much for your great reviews of all these cartridges. Due to you, I purchashed a Nagaoka 110, and I just love it! It replaced and Ortofon OM5E, and wow what an improvement. I have it in a classic "1980" system, with mint JBL 4301B monitors, and Adcom 565 preamp, 545 II power amp, and it just sounds so smooth, detailed and sometimes shockingly "in the room"....thank you....
Dear Friend :-D, Amazing! Thank you for helping yourself to a Nagaoka MP-110 and setting it up yourself!!! Thumbs Up to YOU!!!! That is some system you have!!!! JBL and ADCOMS! :-D Great that the musicians now sound eye-poppingly in your room!!!!!!!!!!! Sincerely, ian.
soundboy57 how is it different than the OM5E ? I currently have om5e as the cartridge that came with my turntable. Getting curious about future upgrades wondering what is a good cartridge for a reasonable amount of money...thanks.
Dear Buddy...thank you for your very kind time and writing to encourage me🤗.... I am very touched and would thus go to sleep very soon with a smile on my face. With wife and Moko🐶on the bed at 12:15am now reading your message! Thank you Brother and we wish you many happy fulfilling years ahead with family and lots of vinyl'ing friends💪😄😄😄😄🎶🎵🎶🎶🎶
What a description! I want someone massaging my neck! :) It isn't a pretty cart compared to some - which I always think means they left the beauty inside - which sounds like what has exactly happened. What a beautiful end statement as well!
Hi Kris!!! :-D great to see you again and catch up here! Thank you for your time viewing my review again. And you had a fantastic catch up with 3 Vinyl Community members/FRIENDS lately!!! Nice of you to show us around too in record shops!!! Thank you Kris! ALWAYS joyous to have you around!!!!
Ian, it's nearly midnight but I've stayed up because after waiting weeks for shipping my Nagaoka MP110 arrived. I was disappointed with the Ortofon 2M Silver (a fancy version of the Red) that came with my turntable I saved up my money and took a gamble on the MP110 based on your review. You have an amazing ear because this cartridge is exactly as you reviewed, and I think I may stay up all night listening to it. Worth every dollar. The vocals SING. Music sounds like music, not just sound! I'm loving it. Thank you for all the time, effort and money you put into your cartridge reviews, I can't be more thrilled with this cart.
Dear Brother, Thank you for your amazing catch-up and taking time out to write back again!!! Power to your ears too and joy to your heart!!!! Hahaha... congratulations Brother :-D !!!! Really happy to see musicianship and truthful analogue sound being enjoyed late nights by you :-D !!!! Cheers my friend, and may you have a wonderful Sunday ahead!! Warmest Regards, ian.
Yo Buddy👍😄👌!!!!!! Hehheh...I was listening to some Jobim just now through it too!!! Now I'm out for dinner (8pm here😋) with family. It was a very nice analogue afternoon. Very nice. Hi five Brother Tony👋😄great to see you again!
I really love your detailed reviews, I can't stop watching them!! Thank you for your reviews, they are very helpful! Was just wondering how this would compare to the MP-100, which is a bit more affordable?
Yes Buddy👋😄how apt and timely! I have just bought the MP-100 recently and will be planning to have it tested and reviewed too in the coming months. Apologies much much much, because I have not unboxed it yet. Not least runned it in. I really apologize for me delay here as I am currently working on thr Goldring E2 vs AT VM95EN and winner vs MP-110 review and shootout episodes. Also the MoFi StudioPhono. Thank you for coming by really Buddy...for your time and support. I aik to continue to do my very best for the vinyl community with as accurate and pertinent reviews as possible🤗... Warmest Regards my friend 👋😄🎶🎵🎶🎶
@@monke7177 Brother, for your early information: the Goldring E2 beats the VM95en, and the MP-110 trashes the Goldring E2!!!! So I can strongly recommend the simply crazy outstanding MP-110 as your first cart ✌😄👍👍👍👍👍
I have been trying to get my hands on the MP-110, for quite some time now, but it is just out of my price range! 😕 But if there was one cartridge I would chose it would have to be the mp-110. I need to save a bit more before I can upgrade.
@@monke7177 Yes Brother, please take your time. Enjoy what you have currently. My older friends taught me these words.... Enjoy the journey, don't rush. Take your time. ✌😄👍thank you for the friendship Buddy. We will spin on and enjoy our analogue bliss 🎶🎵🎶🎶
Thank you for all your hard work. I really enjoy the passion you have for great sound, and can only imagine how much time, energy, resources, and experience it takes to create such cohesive and informative videos. I am learning so much! Again, thank you!
Dearest fellow Vinyl Buddy, thank you too for your kindness and time writing to me! I am really glad, relieved and happy that the work i had put in is helping you friends, fellow vinyl buddies. Thank you Dean and we have really great tools to help us in this most wonderful form of music appreciation :-D !!!! Very optimistic for the future of vinyl analogue playback medium. You and i, we keep it burning strong!!!!!!! Thank you Brother :-D !!! Warmest Regards, and see you, anytime!!! ~ ian
Hi Ian. Just thought you and your viewers might like to know that its possible to turn the MP110 body into an MP200 by replacing the Stylus with the JN-P200 Stylus. It's a very cheap upgrade. The body of the MP200 is exactly the same as the MP110 except for colour. I ordered direct from Japan for just £93.00 ... sound quality is exactly the same as an MP200 in every respect if you can live without a full purple body (Black & Purple instead) you will own an amazing upgrade with a huge saving.
Dearest Buddy Chris!!! Wow, i can't thank you enough for your kind words and support always.... I think our viewers and friends should always check back and read all your long years of analogue experience and knowledge!!! And of course your resourcefulness, earnestness and helpfulness. Brother, if you are coming by Singapore, let me host you. And if you are travelling to Japan, i will try to match your dates :-)... Warmest Regards and really, thank you Buddy!!!! Yours, ~ ian.
Thank you dear friend ... After trying this myself, Ian I can testify its a very worthwhile improvement. More refinement and detail, and can you believe better Bass! Surface noise seems reduced too, As with the MP110, VTA is worth experimenting with.
HiViNyws channel Hi Ian. For you and your viewers here's an update on my experiment. The MP-200 is an excellent cartridge, and using the MP-110 body with a JP-200 stylus does improve (to my ears) the overall sound. BUT, I was wrong about the bodies being identical. Apparently there is a small difference. Swapping between an MP-200 and the modified version, I hear increased dynamics not volume as some people have stated. I've come to the conclusion that the MP-200 is better, but a stylus upgrade of the MP-110 using the JP-200 is a very cheap and worthwhile improvement. For £92 (just £30 more than an JP-110) But of course owning the MP-200 if you can afford to do so, is better. Regardless, to my ears the hybrid sounded very good indeed. I hope your viewers are not confused. 👍
Dear Buddy with your latest SL1200Mk2, Thank you for your time yet again and your kind support all these while. I will continue working diligently... as truth is, you are set for life with the SL1200Mk2. Very rewarding, easy and beautiful vinyl journey!!
I just need thank you for your thorough, interesting, and most of all kind reviews! Very helpful indeed. Based on your review I purchased a Nagaoka MP110, along with a Shiit Mani, this past week, installed it on my '70's Realistic (Radio Shack) LAB-400 turntable. The results were nothing less than spectacular. I replaced a AT95e and couldn't be happier! Thank you so much.
Bravo Brother Lee!!!! You have got both the MP-110 and the Mani and set them up!!! COngratulations :-D!!!! YOu are welcomed my friend, we can all have SUPERB, EXCELLENT sound without the crazy sky-high extortionate amounts of money. The MP-110 and Mani represent that best, and I dare say: State-of-the-Art. Astounding.
Oooooh YES!!!! CONGRATULATIONS MY FRIEND!!!!!! :-D:-D:-D toast to many years of beautiful experience connecting and feeling our music all over again!!!!! I am very glad to be of help. Let's help more along the way in our own capacities and ways! Best regards to you my friend! - ian :-D
Thank you very much Ian - from Toronto, Canada. I just hooked up the Nagaoka MP-110 on my vintage Thorens TD145 / Armstrong 621 / EPI M100 combo, and I can't believe how great this cartridge sounds right out of the box. I really can't imagine it getting better, but whatever comes will be a wonderful, and unexpected surprise. I also want you to know - like so many others - that I appreciate your hard work in comparing these carts. It must be painstaking, but your enthusiasm and excitement is also very refreshing. I like people who do things out of love. I value your opinion so much, I went ahead and ordered the Schiit Mani phono pre-amp to pair with my new cartridge without a second thought. You should accept donations via PayPal. Your advice is that good, and many of us would be thrilled to pay something for the hard work you are putting into this. You have maximized my enjoyment, and saved me hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in wrong decisions. I was kind of curious as to what you think of cables/interconnects. Do you have any opinions about what kind of RCA cabling / speaker wire / connection terminals one should have in their system? As with other components, I would probably choose by price, which you have proven many times over to be a bad mistake. All the best in 2018, and thanks Ian!
Dear Marc! :-D BE my guest. Take whatever you can from my hard work, and use them to better and enhance, establish a superb vinyl rig. We vinyl lovers deserve something great rightfully from this most beautiful analogue medium!!!!! The sonics CAN be as great as the ARTWORK, and feeling its tangibility :-D ... Thank you for you very kind words and helping me feel much encouraged to do better. I have resisted using paypal donations and patreon donations, because I FEAR SOME MANUFACTURERS will come knocking at my door and giving me money, and I do not want to accept their money at all, even if it is no-strings attached. I want to keep myself totally 100% faithful and honest in reviewing the products to help the community. This is my calling. And friends like you have been helping me A LOT by words of encouragement and friendship. This is all I need. No money please. I will work hard in my day job, save very hard, and do it all for you friends. Have a happy New Year 2018 my fellow vinyl buddy in Toronto!!! Best Regards to you family as well!!! Warmest Regards, ~ ian.
Fascinated and impressed as I am by all your reviews, I'm even further blown away by reading through the description of your setup process. Again, your enthusiasm and expertise is infectious! I was heading towards a Rega 3 (unsure about cart), but I'm now very keen on trialing the Technics + Naga MP110! Keep up the great work, stay well 👍
hi my friend! :-D great to see you!!! Brother, the Rega P3 is the best new deck at USD1000 on the market now. Definitely a great deck to have. If you can score a mint used Technics Mk3/3D/5, that will be be superb too!!! Take your time on that too, even Chad of "CJ Vinyl" RUclips channel took time and scored a USD500 unit from his local market! Lovely black one he has!!! A SL1200Mk5. Yummy!!! Both are great. Help yourself my friend! ~ ian.
I just ordered this and should get it next week. I have a Project Beatles 64 Turntable with the Ortofon red. I trust your advice Ian and can't wait to install it and compare it with the 2M red. Thanks for your excellent detailed reviews.
I bought the MP-110 based on your reviews and fitted it last night. It is such a huge improvement over the Thorens cartridge (AT3600) my turntable came with. Thank you for doing these videos.
Brother, you're very welcomed. It warms my heart and I breathe so much better every time in happiness when friends get their rightful products for music listening. Thank you Buddy for taking time out to write to me🤗🤗🤗 Warmest Regards my friend and enjoy your vinyl'ing journey 🌈🎶🎵🎶😄🎶
Thanks so much for your reviews. Now I own a Nagaoka MP-110 on my Rega Planar 1 (after a Carbon and an AT VM520EB) and I'm very pleased. Greetings from near Barcelona (Catalunya).
Hi Buddy! 👋😄👍congratulations!!!!! Hehheh!!! You're spot on now. The P1-MP110-Mani system combines the best of all three different product classes into one very powerful vinyl analogue front end💪😄🎶🎵🎶🎶🎶kudos to your efforts installing and aligning the MP-110 onto your Rega Planar1!!!! Warmest Regards from singapore too🤗🤗🤗
Hello Ian, I want to thank you, thank you for sharing your enthusiasm, your passion, as well as the enormous work which the tests represent! Thank you for having made me discover this great Nagaoka which gives me so much pleasure and this whoever is the musical style, she works wonders! Cheers From France
Hi Ian! It's me again! I just thought that you should know that I have replaced the stylus of MP-110 to MP-200 and got tremendous refinements in all aspects of sound retrieval. The MP-110 stylus now serves as my backup stylus. The generator of the MP-200 cart MIGHT be better than that of the 110 but those looking for a not so expensive upgrade, replacing the stylus of the 110 with a 200 for me is a worthwhile endeavor. The MP-200 cart is quite expensive at USD300+ while the stylus only costs me around USD168. I can sense that it would take many many years before I would even consider the other Nagaoka cartridges that are higher in their line-up. I am very much satisfied with what I am hearing right now! Best regards, and may thanks for introducing me to this wonderful cart! Danny
Dear Danny!!! Hi again and thank you for catching up yet again :-D !!! Good to hear you are doing well!! Yes, generator aside, your MP-200 stylus is a boron cantilever which is a step-up itself from the MP-110 stylus. And i am very happy for you getting tremendous refinements in all aspects of sound retrieval and reproduction!!! Congratulations brother!!! Hahaha... yes, we are often satisfied, and RIGHTLY SO, with a standard so achieved and cherished. Happiness most important :-D!!! I stand by your decision. Warmest Regards!!! ~ ian.
HiViNyws channel - Sir, you, your passion, effort and results, are to be respected, commended and appreciated. I made it a New Years Resolution to get back into vinyl records in 2019. I bought a used Technics SL-3300 and after 3 weeks of use, decided to trade it back in for a DUAL CS-5000. I am doing work to the DUAL, replacing the phono plug entirely, the belt, and doing homework, research for a new cartridge, and in doing so, I found your Channel. Due to your advice, I purchased the Mani Shiit. It is incredible! Now? I was looking at the SHURE M97XE, but you have me strongly considering the Nagaoka MP110. Thank you and please continue to follow your passion, your Channel is BRILLIANT. Bravo. Bravo. Bravo.
Hi Ian - it is YOU who deserves a 'bow' and a 'thank you' my friend. You have spent time, effort, and money for this video series simply for your passion in vinyl. And all of us, viewers and friends, are better and more knowledgable now because of all your work. Thank you Ian!!
Dear Jelo! I really owe it to all of you. Thank you so much for coming by and catching up again...miss you and hope to see your family too soon!! Thank you for your VCLT to me!!! Really great classic piece of Filipino record!!!!!
Hi Ian, just wanted to thank you for your excellent reviews, your unbiased presentation allowed me to easily choose my cartridge after all the confusion of trying to figure out which option to go for myself. I ended up going for the MP-110 based own your review and I can say that I'm very pleased with the results!
Well as promised here is my update! WOW! The improvement over my Ortofon OM5E is spectacular! Thank you for making me discover the amazing value of Nagaoka!!! Next ... Schitt Mani :) ... I am most grateful for all your efforts in sharing your discoveries!
I just wanted to thank you, I was going for the Ortofon 2M Red, then Ortofon 2M Blue, but with this video you have showed me that if I spend a few more bucks I can get this Nagaoka MP110 instead. I already seen your video on Shiit Mani review and it's on the way. Again thank you so much! This is mush appreciated. :)
After watching your video, I made up my mind and ordered the Nagaoka MP 110. I can't wait till it gets here. I am thinking about getting the Schiit mani preamp. I heard it was a good match with the MP 110. But that will have to wait. I'm disabled and on a fixed income so I can only put a little money away every month. It took forever to get the cartridge. I really enjoy your videos. You give us a detailed description of the item you review and that really helps. Thank you and have a great day.
Buddy, thank you very much for coming by and chatting with me!!! 🤗😄👍congratulations for getting the MP-110!!! You'd be having a fun time my friend enjoying your analogue music from your beloved vinyl records! Me too, a person of several medical conditions, suffered a near fatal accident several years ago, and was on crutches for 2 years. Some leg and back surgeries all these years. We'll live on Brother🤗🙏🤝🤗👍 we will.
Emmett Johnston Dear Brother Emmett, thank you for your time and kindness catching up too. We ride along our common lovely vinyl journey👋😄🎶🎶🎶 See you and we catch up anytime. Warmest Regards my friend! ~ ian.
Hi again Ian, I have ordered the nagoka off amazon and it should arrive in the next few days. Thank you very much for these excellent videos, this one in particular made me get this cartridge, thanks!
Hi Ian, I received the mp-110 and installed and aligned it with reasonable accuracy. The thing sounds 10x better than the at95e! Sibilance and IGD has significant reduced and I 100% agree with this review. This cart has made my system much better. Thank you for this as I would’ve never known about this spectacular bit of kit! thanks!
Hi brother!! Great to hear your update again! :-D keep on enjoying your numerous vinyl records!!!!!!!!!!!! We catch up again, thank you for your time my friend!! Great that you have installed it well! ps: currently there is a SL1200Mk3D at hifido: www.hifido.co.jp/KWtechnics%2Bsl%2B1200/G1--/P/A10/J/0-15/S0/M0/C17-14120-78388-00/ :-D
Found this video via the vinyl-reddit, very nicely made. You give a good impression of the cartridge and it's clear that a lot of work and effort went into making this video. Thumps up!
Thanks for the recommendation! I just installed this cart based on this review, and it is simply amazing! Huge, noticeable difference from the stock cart on my turntable. Thank you and keep up the great work!
Dear Vinyl Buddy :-D I must say wow! You aligned the cartridge all by yourself. Respect! Kudos to you brother :-D!!!! Way to go! Thank you for your kind encouragement too! Enjoy your great work, and beautiful vinyl analogue music flowing out into your room!! Warmest Regards, ~ian
You'd think this would be a much more expensive cartridge. Definitely the best out there in this price range as you said. An absolute steal. Put this on in place of the Ortofon OM5e that came with my U-Turn Orbit and I've been in audio heaven ever since.
Thank you again for another detailed review! Looking forward to hear reviews from you from another group of cartridges! I really recommend this channel. You deserve a LOT of subscribers. Thank you for helping us sir.
Dear Oliver! Great to hear from you! And such kind words!! It is okay! I am only doing my best and according to my commitment for our viny community. I love our vinyl community!!!... It deserves to grow and this beautiful music platform and medium brings many people closer together from different countries and communities, strongly. Such a warm big world which I yearn for... My best regards to you and your family and friends too on this peaceful weekend!! - ian:-D
Wow, what a great journey this was. Every Sunday morning over here in the Netherlands is was looking forward to see another nice review from this series. Great patience you must have Ian. Outstanding. First I though the Golding Elektra from the last three contenders would become my second cartridge. But after seeing and hearing this I'm not sure anymore. I play a lot of jazz and metal haha. I think the Nagoaka MP110 fits better. Gonna read more into it now. Thank you for all your cool videos. Anxious to see all the new plans. Like you said. Keep it spinnin'
Dear Lars!!! Greetings to you at the Netherlands!!! Thank you as always for your support and encouragement! Really feel touched by your constant catch ups and chitchat!!! I feel you will enjoy great, grrreat sound from any of the 3 cartridges! All fantastic choices. I have. or qualms playing any of them on any day, any time, any genre!!! Of course you judge according that Nagaoka's magic is not to be trifled with and one will be thrilled to have it in one's superbly setup system. Amazing performance for a superbly priced cartridge!!! :-D Have a great weekend Lars with family and going through your vinyl record collection! :-D - ian
Dan Bartolucci Thank you Dan👋😄!! I'm happy to have helped...and still working hard😃! Currently doing the Sony PS-HX500 vs Rega Planar 1 vs Pro-Ject Debut Carbon shoot-out and reviews... should complete them in another 2-3weeks' time. Warmest Regards my friend!!!
Hi Ian, I have been watching all your videos and today my new Nagaoka MP110 has arrived. Thanks to you that is. I installed it quite easily and coming from a Denon DL110 on my Rega P3-24, I think the sound has even bettered , yes even in break-in time. Thank you for your effort and steering us in the right direction. Keep up the good work!! Greetings from Bruges, Belgium
Dear Johan! I am very happy that I have been of help to all of you my vinyl friends!!! :-D please enjoy your cartridge and music listening!...i AM listening to Vanessa Fernandez's "Use Me" album now as I sit and write to you from the sweet spot! My sweet dog on my laps. Really happy to enjoy great music with all of you friends!!! BEST regards to you and your family and friends in Bruges! - ian
szxz1z 1z yes, ik neede Someren shims. for the moment in went back tot the denon dl110. Ik RUclips mount thuis cartridge wellicht, you can obtain aan very fine sound.
Ian, Thanks for a detailed review of various cartridges. It helped me make a very quick decision to try out MP-110 and I completely agree with your analysis of both : MP-110 and AT-440mlb (which I had......but got destroyed). Have been listening to it for past hour or so and what a difference !
Rahul B. Dear Brother Rahul, thank you for taking time out to get back to all of us friends👋😄!! Really welcome your kind gesture and efforts!!! You've been through it all and thank you for sharing with us your frank experience😄👌!! Warmest Regards brother, and yes it would be a very good weekend for you enjoying your records at home ✌✌✌. Grateful, ~ ian.
I have been restoring my Technics SL-1900 over the past few days, I swapped out the Drive board, giving the plinth a refresh finish, upgrading the worn out rca cables and looking for replacement feet. This review has made me decide after much searching this is whats going on the tonearm
Hi Ian, you did an exceptionally good job, congratulations, it's nice to see that people share the same interest. All the best and have a nice weekend!
Thank you too my friend, for your kind time and encouragement 🙏🤗🙏 I'll work on more products in future to be tested and will focus on the more pertinent ones so as to benefit as many people.🤗🙏🎶🎶🎶
Outstanding work, Ian! What a valuable service you are providing for the entire vinyl community. As always, your review is passionate, engaging, and well-reasoned.
Dear Joe!!! :-D Thank you for your kindness and encouragement again. Most of all the friendship we have. Hope you have a good Saturday evening :-) ... now is 8am Singapore time Sunday, I am preparing for the world's first ever turntable setup competition for my local friends! :-D Hope you our Prodigal son will ring us up too with more of your natural chat and dissertation of your vinyl journey and finds. We all do it at our own pace for us friends in the VC and enjoy the path... discovering good friends along the way and good music. :-D I am ready to chat with you anytime.... if you so wish, my email address is hivinyws@gmail.com Best regards, -Ian.
Dear Buddy, well done, and enjoy setting it up and then listening to your records... thank you for your kind time and catching up too my friend. I wish for your many pleasant memories and time with your records!
Wow. Went from the Sumiko Oyster to THIS! Never was crazy about the Oyster and now I'm crazy over the Nagaoka. I could not agree more with your review of this little gem. As a side note, the prices have risen likely from your review ;-) . Thank you once again for this effort you put forth in all your reviews.
Dear Friend, all i can say now for your purchase is: have fun :-D!!!! We all have humble systems when compared to people with $50,000 turntables and $10,000 cartridges :-D!!! Hi five. I listen to my P1, P3 with a MP110 through the Schiit Mani every day. We are the same. I was listening to my jazz records last night with such bliss. Vinyl analogue is really super nice, relaxing, engaging, refreshing, enlivening and therapeutic!!!! :-D Warmest Regards, ~ ian.
A complete, thorough demonstration of this wonderful, mid-priced Nagaoka MP-110 phono cartridge. I'm glad I watched this phono cartridge demonstration! I was seriously wondering about purchasing this MM cartridge to install next on my karman kardon T25 turntable. Now I have an Audio Technica AT70 (not absolutely certain of exact cartridge model number), and I installed a new stylus. Later on this cartridge is most likely to going to be my choice - the Nagaoka MP-110! Although the Ortofon 2M Blue I was seriously considering, even though it is very close to $300 before tax in Canada; the Nagaoka MP-110 cartridge from what I know has an elliptical stylus, at the same price range as the Ortofon 2M Red. Furthermore, I like a phono cartridge that can deliver a reasonable amount of bass, as well as treble; I do want to hear as much detail from the music that I listen to be it rock, pop, and some rhythm & blues. Thank you very much for this demonstration, and explanation on the performance, and sonic benefits of the Nagaoka MP-110 cartridge.
Hello Ian, This is Mark from Canada! I have been thinking about buying a new cartridge for my special edition Project Primary turntable. It has a Orofon 5e cartridge right now. ...but according to you excellent comparison videos ...it is a bad cartridge. So I have watch ALL of your video's (Group A, B, C and D) and I think this one will be the one I select ...the MP-110 seems to have everything I need and it does not cost too much money. Thank you my friend for all your hard work. I hope you and your wonderful family are doing well. Take care, Mark Anthony K Projekt Gemineye
Mark Kopernicky Brother Mark👍😄...YES IT IS!!!! Please get it! It is a high class cartridge albeit its relatively affordable price!!! I am very happy that you've watched and followed the narrative along the Groups A->B->C->D carts reviews. THANK YOU. The information should help you a lot in purchase decisions. I am confident it already has, for you👋😄.... it will soon be time for me to order your Gemineye's records too!!! Yummy🎸🎶!!! 😄😍😄 Simply superb top draw music from a great guy!!!
Dear Buddy Jared, let's go make more people merry around us with vinyl analog music :-D!!!!!!!.... The world will be a better place!!!! Yay!!! Hahaha...hi five!!!
Hi Ian, thank you so much for your videos! I always find them extremely thorough and unbiased, which really helps make an educated decision. I bought a Rega Planar 1 based on one of your previous shootout videos. Now I have a Rega P1, an Onkyo A9110, and some Elac debut B5.2s (with some Audioquest Rocket 11 cable if that detail is needed!). It's an amazing set up that reveals detail you wouldn't normally realise (your test case of Melody Gardot's My one and only thrill is one of my test albums and that is drop dead gorgeous, especially for the strings. Kind of blue is also "in the room"). Hope to upgrade the cart to the Nagaoka soon and am excited to hear how it performs! Hoping it is even better in terms of detail! Thank you!
Dear Buddy Adam, Thank you very much for your time writing to me too. Hearing your satisfying and jubilant experience makes me very, very, very happy🤗🤗🤗!!! Continue enjoying your P1, Onkyo A9110 and Elac Debut B5.2s!!!! Plus some AQ cables! You have a superv setup my friend. I wish you many, may, many hours of warming and lovely listening sessions at home!!!! 🙏😄👍best regards Buddy! ~ ian
Hi, thank you for your wonderful reviews, i watch your youtube channel reviews and it is one if not my favorite one, I bought the Nagaoka, i am waiting for it to arrive from Japan in about 2-3 weeks.
Bought MP-110 and Schiit Mani according to yr review and fell in love with it. I have 2 turntable and feel itching to try MP-200 so bought it and pair it with Schiit Mani, result is fantastic. It sound really really good. Thank you again for your review so I could get my favorite cartridges and Preamp :)
DEAR Brother Prathan!!!!!! You are amazing! Got both MP-110 and Mani , and went ahead to get the MP-200 :-D !!!! Way to go man!!! Something very interesting: i am currently doing the Hana EL vs Ortofon Quintet Blue cartridge reviews and ...erhem... I am going to reveal something very plainly yet boldly about how the humble Mani+MP-150/MP-110 compares to both these expensive MC carts. (Clue: CONTINUE to enjoy your MP-110, MP-200 and Schiit Mani:-D !!!!!)
Dear Mark🤗, yes you are going to have a joyous lovely time ahead!!!!! Such a crazy value super performing cart. Enjoy, enjoy💪😄🎶🎵🎶🎶!! Warmest Regards and have a great Sunday ahead!!! Thank you for coming by and your time writing in and kind support!
Hello Ian, thank once again for a fantastic job on your review of the MP-110. Again you have aided me in my decision on what cartridge I should upgrade too. As always a wonderful review and comparison.
Dear Buddy, yes, Get In :-D. The MP-110. Help yourself my friend, you will be thrilled and totally enjoying your vinyl'ing journey. This cart provides the raison d'etre of vinyl analogue playback, with punch, dynamics, insight, smoothness, detail, clarity, transparency, and that magic and SPINE of analogue music which digital lacks. Get in my friend :-D !!!!!! Welcome!!! Warmest Regards, ~ ian
So my wonderful wife gifted me the nagaoka for Christmas.. Managed to get it set up to the best of my ability it's going through breaking in but already it's an improvement on my previous ortofon 2m red. When you can tell that's hickory 3 drumstick hitting that high hat you know you're onto a winner
Just bought one of these to replace my AT440mla as I struggle to get the replacement styli any more. First impressions are very good and thoroughly enjoying it, hoping things will only get better once it has run in.
Hi Rob. I currently have the 440 mla and have been considering the nagaoka 110. How did it work for you? How does the 110 track in comparison to the AT? THANK YOU
Wow !!! Absolutely cool and useful videos on sound differences (especially in regards to price brackets). Compressed audio format, I know. But differences (sometimes subtles) are still noticeable. Anyway, just received a Nagaoka MP-500 to try on my Linn LP-12 (Valhalla PSU, Cirkus and Trampoline 2 upgraded, SME III Tonearm). Let's see how it compares to my AKG P8ES VDH II S moving magnet (iron) cartridge. Almost new (fully rebuilt in Germany). Probably not fully "broken in" though as it has around 25-30 hours on it. Might impact sound. Anyway, will see wich I prefer in MY system and decide to keep. Thanks for your vids and keep up the good work. Interesting project !!
Nagaoka MP-110 is a GREAT cartridge. I bought a gently used (read frigg'in pristine!) Technics SL1200-Mk2 (box and manual included) and put the Nagaoka MP-110 in immediately upon receipt of the TT. I paired it with a Schitt Mani solid-state pre-amp, running through a Yaqin MC13-S tube amp (40 watts) into a pair of DIY Crites Cornscala speakers (version "B"), and Oh. My. Gawd! Bliss! Thank you Ian for the recommendation.
Thank you Ian for your enthusiasm and dedication! I had a smallish record collection (jazz and classical music) and a Technics SL-1200mk2 from the late 80s or early 90s. It came with a Shure SC39B. I had replaced the stylus with an SS39EJ before the Technics went into storage 25 years ago together with all the records. When it came out of storage, the cartridge was clearly damaged. Loud hum, stylus probably damaged (and replacements no longer readily available). I decided to buy a new cartridge to be able to listen to my records again. That’s when I found your reviews. They lack all the audiophile fluff and have only information that really matters. Watching and listening to your reviews carefully I realized that I wanted a cartridge that is neutral and well-balanced and I didn’t want to spend too much money to begin with - I didn’t know whether my records were still in a shape to be played. I followed your recommendation and ordered a Nagaoka MP-110. To be honest, I didn’t expect much. I mounted the cartridge using the Technics overhang gauge and some cartridge alignment tool I had printed out (I will re-do the alignment later, following your detailed instructions). I started with one of my favorite records (Charles Mingus Presents Charles Mingus) and was blown away. I spent the entire day today listening to my records, discovering things I had never heard in them before. Your description of the MP-110 is perfectly accurate. You can follow a bass line and at the same time hear the harmonics of the cymbals together with the saxophone. Everything superbly defined, present, yet still harmonious. Some of the recordings seem to come alive for the first time. In an old recording of a Janáček string quartet (Intimate letters) the combination of the exquisit details, the rich harmonics, and the perfect balance had me in tears. What can I say: thank you, thank you, thank you! I will certainly follow another recommendation of yours. My Technics SU-V60 amplifier is still in good shape, but I think the Schiit Mani will help it make the most of that new cartridge. I can’t wait for the Mani to be in stock again. Again, thank you Ian and continue the great work!
Idespisenicknames Wow brother! Am i excited for you!!!!! Man oh man!!!! Way to go💪💪💪😄! I know what you will be doing this Saturday and Sunday: more record relistening, letting the glorious grooves let it all out again!!!!!! I am happy to be of service. I cherish your kindness writing to me and describing your experience and sharing your heartfelt feelings🤗... thank you Sir. Warmest Regards and see you again! Have fun! (Just checked schiit.com... the Mani is in stock😄✌!)
Thank you very much for your kind words! I am truly looking forward to your upcoming reviews! I will have to wait a bit longer for the Mani as I am in Europe and will be ordering from their European distributor - they are out of stock at the moment.
Dear Ian, as you predicted, I did spend the weekend revisiting my record collection and after a few hours the Nagaoka MP-110 starts sound ever more refined and defined. I was wondering whether you used the Nagaoka MP-110 on your Technics turntable. If you did, which protractor system did you use to adjust the cartridge? Do you have an opinion on the Technics Baerwald Arc Protractor (from www.vinylengine.com)? It works with the original Technics headshell and to my ears it opens up the stage a bit compared to using only the Technics overhang gauge. If there is an even better method to adjust the cartridge, I would be thrilled to learn about it. Many thanks and happy spinning!
Idespisenicknames Dear Friend!!! You are simply superb. You fixed on the MP110 by yourself, got your turntable system up and running again, kicking out good sound, and now, bravely exploring into ways to even further improve its sonic prowess 😄!!! Amazing. Brother, i have been using the Lofgren one with my dr feickert one...and so far, so good, no inner groove distortion on my MP110/150 and i am having fun😄✌🎶!!! I don't profess to have used the Baerwald one for Technics from vinylengine though! I still admire and applaud your enthusiasm and awareness👍😄!!! You have sensitive and great ears buddy💪!! I like that!!! Tell me more if you find any... i will relay your finding to my other friends using Technics SL1200 and Nags as well! Thank YOU brother🤗! Warmest Regards!!
He is awesome! I love watching and listening to the detailed reviews! I purchased the Schitt Mani phono stage based on his enthusiasm and honesty. It is everything and more! Keep the videos coming and stay safe my friends!
Dear Buddy Jon!!!! 👋😄💪thank you for your support and great words!!!!!!! Enjoy your vinyling journey!!!!! Thank you!!! May you and your family be safe and healthy, and happy always!!!
@@HiViNywschannel It is refreshing hearing you compare turntables and audio products in a fun and honest way. You truly listen and describe what differences you hear in a clear and honest way too! This is a fun and enjoyable hobby for people new to vinyl and those of us who never left. It is the emotions in the recordings that connect us all through music and bring us all together. Thank you, my friend!
Yup!! Long live vinyl and the sweet spot of MP-110 that many of us have realized... you got in earlier than me!!! :-D Best Regards my friend, and great to see you again! ~ ian.
So much like your review with the nagaoka, I bought one. Hope to hear all the expectations on this cartridge and specially using this to my technics SL1200Mk5s. New to vinyl world and hope this will supplant my ever reliable Shure M447. This is a Class A+ video-review on all cartridges! More power to you my friend!!
Dear Frederick! Congratulations!!!..for getting this Nagaoka MP110!! :-D Enjoy, enjoy!! Enjoy, my friend! AND, you are using the Technics Mk5! Keep it for eternity's sake! A tank indeed! Audiophile grade tank!! Hi five and let us continue our vinyling!!! Best Regards! - ian :-D
Greetings Dr.Ian. I hope you and your family are doing well. I had not heard from you in a while but wanted to give you an update on my cart situation. 1) Your eval of the Nagoaka MP110 is spot on. As a matter of fact, it's probably a more conservative estimation of its performance qualities however... 2)It made my 2, Audio Technica/Signet carts expendible. Both the Signet AM50 and AM10 have been sold recently on ebay. My next cart to target is the MP200. I'm very much looking forward to getting one when my budget permits. My questions are though: 1) "Is there any MM or even HOMC cart you like even more than the MP200? 2) Will there be future evals of carts that you might consider performance to be above the MP200? I emailed over some info re AT/Signet carts last month that I hope you found informative. I believe it only supports your view of AT and their technology. Certainly your eval of their "house sound" is spot on.... "emaciated" is the word I believe best describes it! Thanks for all you do ... As always, your vinyl buddie. Vic... aka Don Vito. 👏👍👊👆💣💥😎
Once again Ian, a real tour-de-force! Thank you so much for everything you do in support of our passion! Really appreciated! Something for your consideration. In the future you might want to add a good large scale classical orchestral recording to your go-to vinyl sample group when reviewing carts or equipment. Reason being, even if folks don't listen to orchestral classical music the ability to throw a realistic large scale soundstage as well as the ability to resolve and pinpoint the sound of many instruments avoiding any perceived compression and / or congestion vs small acoustic groups of 3,4,5 up to 10 or so players is another important trait of all fine audio gear. For example, some amps / speakers / etc sound far better reproducing small groups vs. large scale performances. The same is true for carts / phono preamps, etc. One last thing, finding some high quality rock, pop and or electronic music to add to the equation I think would round things out. Some great Jazz performers who bridge acoustic and electric sounds include Jean Luc Ponty, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, etc. For Rock - the Canadian group Rush. Soul / Rock / R&B - Steely Dan, Tower of Power. For Pop - Female vocals - Mary Chapin Carpenter, Linda Ronstadt, Joni Mitchell, etc. Male vocals - James Taylor, The Eagles. Just some food for thought my friend! Take care. Keep spinning the black circle! Alan
Wow!!! Alan!!! - THANK YOU!!!! :-D Really thrilled to read through all your kindness and suggestions!!!! Hahaha... thank you thank you!! Yes we will keep spinning the black circle! Sorry I am a bit delayed in my reply to you. Best Regards Alan and your family! - ian :-)
Dear Buddy :-D well done!! Have a superb time with it!!!! Your Mani+MP-110 super giants joined together!!! hahaha!!!! YES! Best Regards Brother!! ~ ian.
Thank you, thank you!!! After watching your incredible work with the cartridges and preamp, I added a Schiit Mani (phenomenal) and replaced the AT-95E on my new Audio Technica 120 LP with a Nagaoka MP-110H (Headshell model).. The Mani is plugged into a Denon 4311CI (CD inputs) and stereo out going to two Wharfedale Towers. At first we thought listening to the system with the Mani and AT-95E was a huge boost in all aspect of sound, the Nagaoka opened thing up to yet another degree of listening we just didn't think possible coming from the certainly lesser model AT 120 (in other words we figured there were just going to be limits). We used 10 CC's "One Night in Paris" as the benchmark given the staging across the song.. the mix of instruments and sound effects along with choral rounds, L/R switching by the Engineer, etc.. This was like listening to something entirely different for the very first time.. Again many many thanks for all your efforts... Jay S,
Dear Jay! :-D Thank you for your sharing and affirmation of the sonic prowess of the amazing MP-110. I am very happy for you!!!!!!!!! And wow, the Schiit Mani too of course!!!!!!! It is doing duties for me everyday in my system...for my family!!! wife and sons... they love it tremendously and will not settle for less.... especially for the fact that the MP-110 and Schiit Mani are very affordable!!!! What else can one asks for seriously? Many of us friends have now settled superbly with the MP-110 and Mani!!!! Bravo to your using 10CC's "One Night in Paris" ... you know you stuff my friend!!!!!!! Really, thank you for your kindness, time and support. Vinyl is winning!!!!! - ian.
Thanks Ian... I do have one question for your expertise (and perhaps recommendation) on the MP 110. The instructions on the VinylEngine site for the cartridge/headshell (English version of Japanese instructions) say to leave it mounted completely straight in the headshell. I'm using the 2 point Stevenson protractor to check alignment, which called for me to "twist" the cartridge slightly in the headshell. Set the overhang to 52mm like the AT95E was set to (and seemed to be an OK length for the MP 110).. So the main question is should the cart. be straight or is it more important to hit the two points and alignment on the protractor. One other thing to pass along with the Denon.. I'm using the "Pure" mode which takes the video circuitry out of the equation.. Makes a difference.. Appreciate all the help!! Jay S. P.S. and following "One Night in Paris" is (almost as testing) "I'm not in love".. Just a great album all around..
Hi I am so impressed with the Nagaoka MP110 was so close to buying the same and Sumiko released 6 new model's. Would like you to kindly do a comparison with the Nagaoka MP110 and the Sumiko Rainer budget pricing. Its a request if possible as I read somewhere both sound identical tks also many thanks for all the wonderful Video you have made 😃
Thank you for the wonderful review! I was about to purchase the Ortofon 2M Blue, but I decided to check out this cartridge review after seeing a comment in the 2M Blue review video. Thanks for saving me some money brother!
Thank you for your interesting Videos. After all the reviews i changed my AT95E to the Nagaoka MP-110 on my Fisher MT-6250, and it is absoluty perfect. The AT always has this S-Failure and espacially on high Levels you have this unpleasant harsh Sound even on my Quadral Montan. Now with ne Nagaoka it is all gone and the Sound is amazing, smooth but powerfull and so good separated. It is a lot of joy listen to Music with this System and for that Price. So, greetings from Germany.
Great to hear from you my friend!!! Guten Tag Buddy :-D.... yes always keep your Fisher....what a solid beast and classic of a turntable!!! Envious of you! Yup.... and your Quadrals.... shouldn't be harsh but the AT is the one causing the issue!... GREAT that everything is good now!!! Warmest Regards buddy and stay safe, have fun and have enough rest from work always listen to vinyl analogue at home :-) ~ ian.
Massed strings separate as the body resonance of violins and cellos are brought out. .. not shrill or smeary like my AT's
The MP110 is truly magical and much more than I could have hoped for!

@@HiViNywschannel Greetings Dr.Ian, All-time Grand Champion and ... International Ambassador of Vinyl.🤴🏆🥇
Thank you for getting back to me.

Has anyone tried to check the MP110's frequency response? It is the worst that I have seen, but it can be improved:

No surprise… 30 years old 😂….was there any tip left 😂
I luv this guy! He's very detailed & truely enthusiastic about each review. 😁
Brother, thank you for catching up and your kind encouragement!! I hope you enjoy your vinyl analogue journey with lots of friends around you!!! Family too! Listen, get soaked in, and enjoy!! Best REgard Buddy!!!! ~ ian.
Mr. Krinkle, You nailed it. You brought it in words what i am convinced of!
~ ian
My first tryout with this cartridge turned out to be a session that put me 2 hours past my bedtime. I didn't want to stop listening to my collection.
YEAAAAAA!!!!! :-D
My friend who bought the MP110 is wondering if the stylus of the MP150 would work in the MP110 cart?
It will physically fit. I have the JNP200 stylus on my MP-110 body. Electrically, the cartridge bodies are supposedly different. So you will gain the improved tracking qualities of the JNP150 stylus, but may not enjoy all of the benefits of a true MP-150.
Thanks to your superb reviews, I went ahead and purchase the schiit mani and the nagaoka mp-110. What a fantastic combination! I'm enjoying my record collection like never before. The cartridge was an AMAZING upgrade over my 2M Blue. Keep up the excellent work you do on this channel.
Dear Brother Daniel :-D,
Thank you for your time and writing in. I am very happy you have what is;
Stupendous vinyl analogue playback!!!!!!
Hola Daniel, tengo el schiit mani hoy con la Ortofon 2M Red, la nagaoka anda mejor que la blue? Saludos.
You just plain rock! Best reviews of products I've seen in the past five years. Great work!
Dear Buddy 😄🤜🤛😄thank you for your kindest support and encouragement. I wish you best of vinyl'ing times ahead too!!! Warmest Regards my friend!
Warmest Regards,
~ ian.
Andres Mejia What is your anti skate adjustment set at? The instructions that came with my mp110 is in japanese. Thanks
Hi,
I have Schiit Mani with MP110 too. I find it a bit too sibilant at the recommended 42dB gain. What should I do?
Thank you for all of your hard work with these reviews Ian. I have had my MP-110 installed for 1 week now, while it is not yet full broken in I can say it is an improvement over my previous 2m Red. I agree with you on all points regarding the sound, this is a stellar cartridge. Cheers!
Dear Brother Wes,
Thank you for really getting one for yourself despite your 2m red that is still fully functional, and sharing with us your experience. Thank you for your kindness too! Your time to share with us is valued. I am very happy that you can enjoy your music and numerous records even better :-D.
Sincerely,
Ian.
I can totally attest to this. I'm coming from a 2M Red to the MP-110 as well and paired with the Schiit Mani it's been just sooo good, and my system isn't even that high-end. What a great duo.
no offense but cartridges don't break in.
SupraWes What is your anti skate set at? The instructions that came with my cartridge are in japanese.
A landmark series.
This should be prescribed viewing for all vinyl noobs.
Congratulations.
..i am very happy but humbled by your comments vinylbrother in Qatar.. :-)
Peace be with you and your family,
ian.
That's the comparison I needed to read... Thanks, to both of you.
Hi Ian, I really appreciate how clearly you explain what you look for, when evaluating a cartridge. Keep up the great work!
Dear Sir, thank you too for being a great understanding buddy. We keep listening and sharing the great vinyl analogue sound!!!👍🧘♂️😄💪☘🎶🌱🌱🌱warmest regards to you and your family too!
Sitting here watching youre vids on a saturday night.... Life is Sweet. Keep up the great work...
yupimbackk Brudder.... it is always my dream to open up an eatery with my wife and serve food that makes people think that "Life is Good" and to bring peace to them.... well i cannot cook so well...and thus i am soooo happy to hear from you that my hard work and videos are able to do the same for you😄😉😀!!!!
Yours,
~ ian.
Incredibly helpful. So much effort must have gone into this series. Thank you so much!
Thank you again Isaac! :-D
Grateful for your kind support and encouragement again!!!
Several of my friends have bought the P3 with the Nagaoka MP110 cartridge and gotten much, much better results than with the Rega Elys2 cartridge. Just for your information ;-)
Best Regards :-D
- ian
I'm forever greatful to you dear friend! My Nagaoka 110 arrived today and I was in tears when first listened to it! Thank you!
Wow, "alive and immersed" :-D !!! Goodness yay!!!!! Enjoy your superb system now in synergy!!!!!!! Best!!! Talk again my friend, ~ ian.
Anytime my friend.
hi Ian!
Me again :)
Finally tried MP-110 last Saturday and I will say this short and sweet..... everything you said about the Mani - MP-110 combo is ABSOLUTELY TRUE!
Turn table - Technics SL-1200MKII
Phono-pre - Schiit Mani (formerly MF-V90 LPS)
Cart - Nagaoka MP-110 (formerly AT-440MLb)
Preamp - Yamana CX-1000
Poweramp - Emotiva XPA-2
Speakers - Magnepan MG12
So one last thing.... is the MP-200 better? Oh this never ends!
My sincerest and heartfelt thanks to you my friend!
Danny (from the Philippines)
DanLop gmail i second every thing that you have discovered and stated Sir😄!!
💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
Thank you brother Danny for coming by and catching up again!!!!!
Warmest Regards,
ian😄.
Dearest Chris,
Secret just for you: I have just bought and taken ownership of the MP150, MP200 and MP500 amongst other cartridges recently. I will do my best for all of you. Working really hard on it :-D
We shall see!
Best, best regards Chris!for you and your family,
- ian :-)
HiViNyws channel
Ooh, I'm seriously looking forward to your views, Ian. Really exciting 😃
I only know of the MP500
I first heard it in a very high end system, and I will say it's the best I've heard Vinyl.
Your review is the reason I bought this cartridge. So far I am very happy. Thank you!
Dear Friend :-D,
Amazing!
Sincerely,
ian.
soundboy57 how is it different than the OM5E ? I currently have om5e as the cartridge that came with my turntable. Getting curious about future upgrades wondering what is a good cartridge for a reasonable amount of money...thanks.
Love your channel and it’s message, friends and music first, kit second and ego zero ❤️
I proudly display the Nagaoka "Lego brick" on my tonearm.
Dear Brother,
Thank you for your amazing catch-up and taking time out to write back again!!!
Warmest Regards,
ian.
Hello Ian,
Thank you for making these videos! Your enthusiasm got me back into Vinyl!
Bought the mp110 after your review and it's absolutely amazing. 🇬🇧
But if there was one cartridge I would chose it would have to be the mp-110.

HiViNyws channel
Hi Ian.
For £92 (just £30 more than an JP-110)
But of course owning the MP-200 if you can afford to do so, is better. Regardless, to my ears the hybrid sounded very good indeed. I hope your viewers are not confused. 👍
Chris Bishop Good info, thanks. I was wondering if the hybrid was a noticeable upgrade.
Fantastic review series. Ian, you are truly amazing, please don't stop making these. Found my future cartridges thanks to you.
Dear Buddy with your latest SL1200Mk2, Thank you for your time yet again and your kind support all these while. I will continue working diligently... as truth is, you are set for life with the SL1200Mk2. Very rewarding, easy and beautiful vinyl journey!!
HiViNyws channel OMG you actually remembered my player 😄
Thank you so much. Always love your channel 👏👏👏
Some Coder Brother, always!!!! SL1200 brothers 💪😄✌🎶🎶
Just wanted to say thank you so much for doing this series! Its been so helpful!
Hi and thank you too!!!!! Have a lovely vinyl'ing journey with many friends and *records*!!!😄👍🎶🎵🎶🎶🎶🎶
Astounding.
I'm back into vinyl because of you - thank you! The Nagaoka MP110 is excellent value.
I have a top notch Vinyl Audiophile system I'm enjoying greatly.
Warmest Regards,
~ ian.
Thank you Buddy for taking time out to write to me🤗🤗🤗
Warmest Regards my friend and enjoy your vinyl'ing journey 🌈🎶🎵🎶😄🎶
Warmest Regards from singapore too🤗🤗🤗
Thanks HiViNyws Ian for this great review of the Nag mp-110. I just purchased one and cant wait for it to arrive. Thanks again Ian.
Hello Ian,
I want to thank you, thank you for sharing your enthusiasm, your passion, as well as the enormous work which the tests represent! Thank you for having made me discover this great Nagaoka which gives me so much pleasure and this whoever is the musical style, she works wonders!
Cheers From France
I took Ian's sincere honest advice and just purchased the Nagaoka mp110 mm cartridge!.. shipping will take. Maybe a week.. can't wait! Thanks Ian!!!!
I have just discovered your channel and now I have to buy a Nagaoka MP-110 :) :) Thank you for all the hard work!
Thank you my friend :-D. SPOT ON. Get it!!!!!
May you (you will :-D) enjoy your vinyl journey!!! More friends too! See you bro! ~ian.
I will keep you posted once installed!
;-D
Thanks for making this video. I appreciate your attention to detail and all the time it took to out this together.
We'll live on Brother🤗🙏🤝🤗👍 we will.
thank you so much for making these videos! I really appreciate how thorough you've been.
Emmett Johnston Dear Brother Emmett, thank you for your time and kindness catching up too. We ride along our common lovely vinyl journey👋😄🎶🎶🎶 See you and we catch up anytime. Warmest Regards my friend! ~ ian.
I can’t believe i just discovered this series! Great comparison testing! Great videos! You have a new fan!
Hi again Ian, I have ordered the nagoka off amazon and it should arrive in the next few days. Thank you very much for these excellent videos, this one in particular made me get this cartridge, thanks!
HG15 Bravo my friend💪👍✌!!!!!! Rock on😄
Hi Ian, I received the mp-110 and installed and aligned it with reasonable accuracy.

Found this video via the vinyl-reddit, very nicely made. You give a good impression of the cartridge and it's clear that a lot of work and effort went into making this video. Thumps up!
Dear Brother-in-Vinyl,
Thank You.

Have a great weekend Lars with family and going through your vinyl record collection! :-D

I know these shoot-out videos are old but I just wanted to thank you for the wealth of knowledge. These are such informative videos!
Dear Johan!

szxz1z 1z yes, ik neede Someren shims. for the moment in went back tot the denon dl110.
Thank you Kara for coming by again and putting time to write me a note... touched...

Bravo :-D !!!! Thank you for your update and I am very happy to know that you are enjoying your vinyl records, past midnight as well :-D!!
Thanks for this good video. I just ordered the Nagaoka MP-110H to use with my humble AT-LP120 Turntable.
Dear Brother🤜🤛yes thank you!!! Thank you for gracing my efforts!!!🍀 I'm very happy to see you catch up! Enjoy your lovely journey with great kit!😄
Hello Ian,
This is Mark from Canada!
Take care,
Mark Anthony K
Projekt Gemineye
Mark Kopernicky Brother Mark👍😄...YES IT IS!!!! Please get it! It is a high class cartridge albeit its relatively affordable price!!! I am very happy that you've watched and followed the narrative along the Groups A->B->C->D carts reviews. THANK YOU. The information should help you a lot in purchase decisions. I am confident it already has, for you👋😄.... it will soon be time for me to order your Gemineye's records too!!! Yummy🎸🎶!!! 😄😍😄 Simply superb top draw music from a great guy!!!
I love your channel man keep making these great videos!
Thank you!
Dear Buddy Adam,
Thank you very much for your time writing to me too.
~ ian

- ian.
Wow! Thai's would be another amazing review!
Prathan W Thank you Buddy👋😄!!! May you have a super warm vinyl journey✌!!
THANKS mate for all your great reviews. Tomorrow I am going to install my fresh MP110....🤓

Thank you for such a brilliant channel. The cartridge reviews have really helped me.
Welcome!!!
Warmest Regards,
~ ian
So my wonderful wife gifted me the nagaoka for Christmas.. Managed to get it set up to the best of my ability it's going through breaking in but already it's an improvement on my previous ortofon 2m red. When you can tell that's hickory 3 drumstick hitting that high hat you know you're onto a winner
WOW YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL WIFE INDEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And yes congratulations for your hearing those high hat strikes!!!!! Lovely!!! :-D
Just bought one of these to replace my AT440mla as I struggle to get the replacement styli any more.
First impressions are very good and thoroughly enjoying it, hoping things will only get better once it has run in.
Dear vinyl buddy, thank you for your thoughts and impressions too! :-D Do enjoy your lovely vinyl journey and records!!!! See you bro! ~ ian.
Hi Rob. I currently have the 440 mla and have been considering the nagaoka 110. How did it work for you? How does the 110 track in comparison to the AT? THANK YOU
EXCELLENT review, thanks for sharing. Just "clinical" enough so that everyone can appreciate what is being reviewed.
Marc-André Rodrigue Dear Friend😄👐, i hope things are looking up on your LP12 rig!!!!
Ah i see! :-D!! Okie!! Will do brother!!! Update and we catch up anytime :-D . Best regards my friend! Happy spinning!
Thank you, my friend!
ian, your enthusiasm is amazing. Long live vinyl and the sweet spot !
Yup!! Long live vinyl and the sweet spot of MP-110 that many of us have realized... you got in earlier than me!!! :-D
Best Regards my friend, and great to see you again!

Alan
Wow!!! Alan!!! - THANK YOU!!!!

thanks for another stellar in depth review! I just bought one to replace my tinny ear fatiguing AT440MLB
Dear Buddy :-D well done!! Have a superb time with it!!!! Your Mani+MP-110 super giants joined together!!! hahaha!!!! YES!
Best Regards Brother!! ~ ian.
Many many thanks for your channel Ian and awesome reviews. You are my - our Guru for vinyl. Best wishes and greetings, Aleš.
Dear Aleš, thank you again for the friendship and kind words. Very grateful to you, i cherish your encouragement!
:-D ian
will continue to work hard.
Jay S,
Dear Jay! :-D
Thank you for your sharing and affirmation of the sonic prowess of the amazing MP-110.
Northern Blood You are very welcomed my friend!😄🖑
If you're looking for things to review, you should look into the ifi iphono 2. Its a pretty great phono preamp for only $500.
Warmest Regards buddy and stay safe, have fun and have enough rest from work always
listen to vinyl analogue at home :-)
~ ian.
