1996 - 2021. Stratosphere is 25 years old. I can't believe it. 2 times there, including "The Millennium Night", December 31, 1999. Forever in my heart.
Back in 2001, a 700 foot roller coaster was going to be built on the side of the Stratosphere. However, the dumb people in the neighborhood east of the casino complained about the new ride would be problem for them. Jack Levine was the one responsible for the Fish-Hook coaster never seeing the light of day. People come to sin city for entertainment and excitement. So, we should bring this roller coaster back to Las Vegas, now is the perfect time to have it built for even more extreme thrills.
One thing you may want to know is that the Stratosphere is now charging for parking. $12 per day during the week and $15 per day Fri-Sat-Sun. No discount if you are staying there or if you are a card member. Of course, they didn't mention this when I made reservations. On the plus side, there was plenty of parking, even on a Saturday with a special event going on all floors were not at full capacity and because I like to park near the elevator I got up to the 7th floor were there were only a dozen cars parked, ON A Saturday! Although I may return, I will be a little hesitant of recommending the Strat, even when they give me free passes to pass along to friends and family.
Sound like a publicity tape looking for guests, all the positive comments !!!! But, here are some of the more negative things I've found every time I've been (4 times). 1, the overpowering smell of tobacco smoke in the casino - - I realise it's a smoking area (I'm a smoker), but OMG, it's a bit too much. 2, the shops on the upper level never seem to be open 3, it used to be free for hotel guests to access the tower, but since Golden Entertainment bought the resort, they've been charging entrance fees, last time we were there it was $5 each, so wife, 2 daughters and myself were $20 each time we wanted access 4, the cleanliness of the rooms is not too bad, but you would like behind the furniture to be cleaned more regularly 5, never ever seen the bars or restaurants up the tower with more than 10 patrons...... that should tell you how high the price list is 6 the BIGGEST fault has to be the "resort fees", which are a pure rip off....... I have never used the pool or the gym or any other "amenity" there, but they have the nerve to charge nearly $40 extra per guest per night!!!!!!! Now I'm not saying it's a bad place to stay in Vegas, in fact it's pretty decent compared with the likes of Circus Circus, 4 Queens, The D......... but they just need to get the above list taken care of and they should be well on the way to a higher guest rating
Thank you so much for your comment, lol we are not doing publicity; it would be nice to do so, but we aren’t. We are just showing some hotels in Vegas. Tbh your comment helps a lot to have another point of view.
Stayed at the Strat in November 21’ , never again , room was dirty , the second room they gave us was almost as bad , right next to the Strat is low income housing , lotta sketchy people around and about , Best thing was the Strat cafe though
I’ve been at the stratosphere many many times over the years back when Bob Stupak had it, he would give you all kinds of free stuff to come there. The roads are cool there they’re bad ass as far as the slot machines I’ve never seen anybody win there and I have never won their.
I am visiting Vegas this December 2023 for the first time..And I'm really considering this as my place to stay..Stay or not I'm definitely gonna visit..No doubt..Is it really that distant from the strip? Can I enjoy just staying here..I only want to visit for some R & R and just a 2 night getaway..Not looking to gamble alot but definitely play some..maybe watch a show
I've been to Vegas many times, going tomorrow for my 9th go-round. The Strat is on the northern part of the strip. It's a few blocks north of the Encore and Wynn, which are the north tip hotels of the main part of the strip. You can walk down there to where all the hotels are in a cluster and thus, the bigger crowd and "action" are or take an Uber if you aren't a walker like that
The House Always Wins
Yep…
First time I heard of this place. Now it's clear to me this was the inspiration behind the Lucky 38.
As someone who lives in this city, it was pretty cool being at the top.

I like the concept of new coasters ANYWHERE on the Vegas Strip!

I hate with a change the names Strat sounds stupid…Most here in Vegas still called the Stratosphere
The Strat sounds like a gay bar. I was partial to the Stratosphere Tower.
Is there any sound in this video I'm not getting any

Did this when I was younger but couldn’t imagine doing it now haha

I usually stay at Paris because it’s in the middle of the strip.
Is there somewhere to dance at the Stratosphere?
Can I buy a drink and take a picture?
Wild card:Ace in the hole
Looking at the comments make me want to not go to this hotel when I’m older thanks a lot
😅
Try harder.
