My god guys. Literally in tears watching this praying that just maybe one day I could have my yellow 70 torino gt 351c 4 spd look like this. Ya , a grown man admitting tears. So much props to the man hrs and skill it takes to do that kind of caliber of work. Never enough appreciation is given as people at car shows are likely to be like oh thats a nice color and walk to the next......
That is how you rebuild a muscle car. No grotesque custom panels, stupid paint designs and horrible douchebag wheels. Just a classic car looking just the way it did when we fell in love with it!
Back in 1973 while being a paper boy having a route I would stop in for a snack at the old corner gas station and admire the Ford GT Torino parked there every day. Not sure of the exact year but it had a rear spoiler like wing on trunk. Watching this video of the 68 GT brought back my memory of youth days gone way back.. Thanks.
I just saw this video and I am blown away! Someone had a big bill at the end but I am glad for them. This is a do it all operation. No new replacement panels on this project. They must have used 10 miles of welding wire and 10K kilowatt hours of electricity. Master craftsmen with decades of experience and it shows. Patience pride and skill and a better than new Torino!
Any person who has done an apprenticeship knows the difference between a Tradesman and a Craftsman. As an Engineer of 40 years I can assure you this is the work of a Craftsman. Many years of honing their skills on the job. Big thumbs up from Australia.
What a fantastic result. I have several Aussie Falcons and they all seem to rust in the same places and look very similar in their design. Im no fan of painting the engine bay black at all, but at the end its not my car. Cheers from NZ, Phil
You real professionals. I would also restore a car for you. This is how I imagine restoration. Really great and perfect work. It's really fun to watch. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
First class men. I am not a ford man, but man is that rolling art. Lots of rust that you fixed right. I just did my 1969 AMC AMC 390 XCODE AT AIR PS PB GO PACK CAR. I KNOW THE LABOR OF LOVE IT IS. Let's keep these American treasures on the road where they belong. How many HP To the wheels? Made my day. Thanks. Semper Fi. Neal
Hey! You're gonna have to start referring to these projects as "Resto-Mods"! Especially since most of these "Works of Automotive Ingenuity" are being not only fully restored, but also modernized in some manner or fashion, be it the suspension, the metal fab work, brake upgrade, interior updates, or choice of running gear. Thus bringing these gorgeous models into the 21st century!
Yes this wasn't a OEM Restoration like the Title said, Thats for sure. Even though it turned out great and I'd love to own it. I was Expecting a completely different video.
wondering why your rear shocks are both on one side of your axle, i thought manual transmission Torino's have staggered shocks, one in front and one behind the axle. thx for your help
Look great, the only thing I would have done differently would have been the tower patches. I would have blended them in. I'm assuming that the body was chemically dipped?
how much did this restoration cost you? We are trying to restore a 68 Torino gt for a man's son and I'm wondering how much does something like this set someone back.
Yes,it has problems but I’m stunned at how good of shape it’s in. Most cars this old are Swiss cheese by now,and it’s pretty much all there! Hasn’t been stripped of the most valuable parts. Looks like the motors the worst part. Never seen that much rust on interior engine parts.
I'm in complete shock and horror that you took apart what was an UNMOLESTED survivor 390 GT 4 speed car and made that chevy boy LUMP out of it. Holy god it HAD ALMOST ALL the original parts on the engine now it's just another Belly button. Everybody's got one. UGH, I don't like it. You RUINED it. COMPLETELY GONE FOREVER. They are only original ONCE. I really liked seeing it come apart, and seeing the original detail, but the finished product makes me sick. AT the VERY LEAST the engine should have been painted FORD BLUE. Sorry.
Well, it makes it somewhat easy being there are many shared parts with other ford models. IE Ford Falcon, but it looks here like many parts were simply fabricated. I"m just happy I wasn't the footin' the bill for this one.
LOL I guess it does. Yes this wasn't a OEM Restoration like the Title said, Thats for sure. Even though it turned out great and I'd love to own it. I was Expecting a completely different video.
NOT a resto - maybe a resto mod... Ford did not use Hurst shifters because of George Hurst ties to GM and Wilwood brakes didn't even exist. That is a radical front suspension change!
That is the stock ford shifter with reverse lockout. When I was a senior in high school, 1971, I bought one of these. 390, 4spd, PDB, stiff suspension. Mine had bucket seats with headrests, gold outside, gold interior. Mine was probably built in fall 1967. It had squared, chromed steel rocker covers, and a chrome air cleaner. It did not have AC, but had a rear window defroster, a fan in the back shelf, between the speakers, that blew air up from the trunk. I've never seen another with that defroster. Oh, and the stock brakes were the best I have had on any car.
Yes this wasn't a OEM Restoration like the Title said, Thats for sure. Even though it turned out great and I'd love to own it. I was Expecting a completely different video.
Better than brand new! Very impressive
Man what a beautiful car, the workmanship is absolutely incredible, I would love to own that masterpiece!!!!!

I greatly appreciate this video n may watch it 100k times as I start this same project WISH ME WELL 🙏🙏🙏
I still have mine, purchased new in 68. Painted it three times, rebuilt the 390 3 times , 4 speed once. Nice, but nothing like this fully done beauty.
These are some of the best videos for gear heads, love this stuff
Not a Ford man, but always loved the lines of the Torino fastback
Awesome video great eyes for detail the shops in the videos are not skipping a beat thanks 👍👍

This is going to be another beautiful video

Wow! I remember those models as a 12 y/o growing up in Detroit
Sweet Ride, the Torino is Beautiful
HELL YAA SAVED THAT ONE !!!
To je nádherné auto, s tím bych se chtěl svést.
Awesome car. My father owned a 1969 Fairlane Cobra 428 4spd and 1969 Mercury Cyclone 428SCJ drag pack auto as well. Great looking cars
No way? My grandfather has both and we just restored the Ford Cobra!
I grew up riding in my fathers Torino GT.
Love the lines of this car.
I've never liked this color but one is done this well you can't help but love it
I would love to have a car like that! Because it reminds me of the show STARSKY & HUTCH. THE POLICE SHOW WITH HUGGY BEAR.
Beautiful,I Love it
What a fantastic result. I have several Aussie Falcons and they all seem to rust in the same places and look very similar in their design. Im no fan of painting the engine bay black at all, but at the end its not my car. Cheers from NZ, Phil
Well done

I always liked the ( Ford Torinos & Mercury Cyclones) especially in that era throwback to when NASCAR was really fun back in 70s.
i have a 68 torino 4 door plan on building it
Two many doors
What a beautiful Torino♥️

Absolutely beautiful car. However, don't say OEM when it's completely custom.
Спасибо за пособие как нада делать!

muy buen TRABAJO gran equipo!!
que precio tiene una restauración como ésta?🤔🤔🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸
Is this in WA State?
how much did this restoration cost you? We are trying to restore a 68 Torino gt for a man's son and I'm wondering how much does something like this set someone back.
What did you paint the undercarriage? I am thinking POR 15 ? NEAL

It says "full OEM restoration" so what's the deal with the crate motor? Was the original not numbers matching or not worth fixing???
What’s one worth1 Omer car69 get 390 car gt
How do you even get parts for these kind of cars?
Well, it makes it somewhat easy being there are many shared parts with other ford models. IE Ford Falcon, but it looks here like many parts were simply fabricated. I"m just happy I wasn't the footin' the bill for this one.
AMD is making body panels for these now, full quarter panels Ext.
hehe.... I see OEM means different things to different folks.
LOL I guess it does. Yes this wasn't a OEM Restoration like the Title said, Thats for sure. Even though it turned out great and I'd love to own it. I was Expecting a completely different video.
Which country
Where did you get the chrome work done?
Bondo is better on primer epoxy bare metal under bondo will rust eventually
🔥🔥🔥✌🤘
NOT a resto - maybe a resto mod... Ford did not use Hurst shifters because of George Hurst ties to GM and Wilwood brakes didn't even exist. That is a radical front suspension change!
I had a 71 ford torino cobra jet with Hurst shifter, factory

I beg to differ. This is NOT a full OEM restoration,it’s a restomod! Which I’m fine with, but describe it correctly.

Nicely done but not a oem restoration!
👍👍😎✌️🤟⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Can someone give me the true story of the fe engines. I have a 390 in a 66Tbird. Are these horsepower engines or more suitable for cruising?🤔
Kinda both, one is 275 hp while the 390 H.O (like in the Torino) was 325 hp. a good solid bottom end motors.
confuzed about something here? why pull the structure out of the hood to put it right back??
Amazing Build, must have cost 500k
Глупость какая то - расшить капот и ничем не обработать внутренние поверхности собрать обратно!
WTF is Full OMEN Restoration ? Something like 666?
Wilwood not
this came from another channel
Beautiful!!!
