People talk about about falling in love like it's some explosion of fireworks and you're suppose to feel that "shock" and just know it's happened. Personally, that sounds like infatuation and temporary. I think the best and more real love happens slowly, like a few drops of water turning into a water fall; and you don't even feel the dam breaking until you've looked back and can no longer remember what life was like without that person. Then you realize that you don't want to find out, and you want to spend the rest of your life with them. This song made me feel that.

[TRIGGER WARNING] As a person who's been through sexual assault when I was younger, I can sadly picture myself into this song. Aurora is one of the best singers I've ever discovered and her way of expressing how she feels her own songs is just so beautiful. I think she said this song had the meaning each person wanted it to have, but it's such a good interpretation I think everyone will feel like the song was especially made for their own particular experience, or at least that's how I feel when I listen to it. This is just a pure masterpiece.
I would love to hear the the story of how she wrote this song, and where the inspiration for the lyrics lies. This song is simply hypnotizing...She's a true musician.
this song is the second part to Murder Song. where the ghost of the murdered lover comes back to haunt the murderer in their dreams, until their sanity erodes to nothing.... like a stone can be broken into sand
so many interpretations of this song, so ethereal... I believed the song to be about a man - who feeling 'love' for this girl, forces himself on her - stealing her virginity... (she cries, tears, against her will). Years pass, when she reminds him of his crime, he denies any memory. But she knows 'it happened quiet' ... 'so quiet' (i.e., in secret) - When she addresses his darkness he becomes loud & entitled, she stops him, "don't you speak over my voice!" ... and in the end, affirms she will rise above his shadows in her own light... (Wondering if anyone else heard this? : / very heartbreaking reality for too many).
I discovered Aurora recently and my mind is blown. This is by far the most beautiful, expressive, enchanting, cold-blooded song I've ever heard. It can have so many interpretations but I see it like a song from the perspective of someone that just killed the love of their life because of an unforgivable sin. The time stands still, everything ceases to exist, ominous feathers falling out of the pillow over his hollow lifeless eyes putting an end to all the suffering, all the fighting, all the noise coming out of his mouth as his last words are falling out through the window leaving behind a room full of emptiness. So quiet. What is left of you now? "You fell apart like a stone can be broken into sand" - Your pride, your egocentrism, your narcissism, everything is gone. So full of yourself and now look at you, broken into a thousand pieces covering a crying land that witnessed it all. The meaning of "love is wild" has never been darker. The way she's moving her hands and rolling her eyes when she says the words brings out a cold irony. "Isn't that what you used to tell me? That love is wild? Oh here I am now, feel the wildness, my love!" I could go on like this for hours. She is extraordinary. Created her own genre. Her body and her music are inseparable. WOW! Thank you, Aurora, on behalf of all of us that can't express our emotions so colorful!
More like a suicide? Like she jumped out the window "Is the earth colored red as I land like a flower on the meadow" and "I will return from the shadows And I'll bleed in your bed Turn it red Like the ground outside your window" Gorgeous song anyhow! 🥰
Her delivery is so delicate. It's like a wonderfully elaborate and pretty snowflake. You can only observe it carefully without disturbing it, but touch it lightly and it just melts away.
On one hand she amaze me, but on the other hand she Terrifies me. Why? Cuz there's something in her song that makes me get the feeling that "If I'm not careful, I'll loose my self". She gives me thrills and chills... Anyone else get that kind of feeling? Or is it just me?
I was thinking the exact same thing, her songs are like a siren, have beauty, calms you but when you look carefully you are kind of afraid of it, it's crazy
Beautiful 😭 And Silja really shines here. I particularly like the parts where she sings the line first before Aurora, like a reverse echo. And that harmonization 💕
I cannot describe the goosebumps I get while listening to this on repeat. The tone you use when saying "my voice" near the end, the "don't you speak over my voice" part, is just... just... oh god, that's why this song has been going on repeat for the last week.
Another reason that i'm still living, I feel so lucky to be a live in same century as Aurora. Thanks for reminding me that good time will come while living on this small planet.
She makes me feel like everything is going to be ok...i wish everyone who reads this to be blessed and to be happy and free from regret, hate, sadness and any other thing that holds you down. break free from it. Embrace it. Fight it.
I discovered Aurora with this video, about 1 year ago. This song still gives me the chills, make me cry, hurts my heart and make me dream at the same time. I've heard almost all her live performances and her old songs, I've listen her music every day for almost all the past year. And I love her more and more, and I never get bored of her. And I love to read the comments on her videos, because her fans are so kind and precious. I think she is pure love.
I'm a fan from several years now, and I do confirm that what you said is what amazed me when a joined the community, they are all such precious people.
Yeah, right. I haven't read bad comments about her ever. She is so "natural" (I don't know if you know what I mean). Ahh she actually doesn't look like a famous person hahahaha
I used to listen to it daily back in 2019, was a very terrible year that I still cannot fully recover from, her music helped me get through it though. I wish that everybody who reads this, never has to go through a rough year.
The way she builds up to “voice” being the loudest note is so brilliantly done here. She takes the meaning of the words before it to place its emphasis. I wish she kept this in all her renditions.
She looks so edgy that I never expected her music to be so peaceful. Her voice is out of this world, I'm so glad I finally clicked on one of her videos!
This is the most beautiful, most chilling and most haunting performances I've heard in a long time. Honestly Aurora is my favorite singer. This isn't only down to her innate ability to perfectly portray the depth of the lyrics but also because she is a genuinely amazing lyricist and poet.
I had the privilege of seeing her live earlier this month, she even pointed at me (there's proof on my acc if you don't believe me) it was the most beautiful experience I've ever had, I've never felt more human than in those few hours, even though it was very lively music for the most part she had such a presence that you couldn't help but feel in touch with yourself and your emotions as well as hers, if you have the opportunity to see her live and question if it would be worth it, i say do it, it's wonderful
I don't know why I missed out on seven years before discovering her. Talent of her caliber is very rare. We may find it once or maybe twice in our lifetimes.

And you can’t remember that day
But you know it happened quiet
So quiet
Words falling out through the window
All that remains is a silent call
Is the Earth colored red?
As I land like a flower on the meadow
Love is wild
Are your dreams as dead as they seem?
Are your dreams as dead as they seem?
Don’t you speak over my voice
I will return from the shadows
And I’ll bleed in your bed
Turn it red
Like the ground outside your window
Love is wild
Love is wild
Love is wild
Love is wild
Love is wild
vicky marino I LOVE YOU
Thank you
THANKSS
Mille merci à toi Vicky Marino.
Thanks!
Do you imagine having a HUG from her?
It must be heaven
the way she says PILLOW
To me, this is her best song. The delicate melody, the ethereal sound, the lyrics. It is also her song that reminds me the most of Leonard Cohen.
[TRIGGER WARNING]
As a person who's been through sexual assault when I was younger, I can sadly picture myself into this song.
The fact that it’s literally just two voices and a guitar and yet it’s so beautiful.....just wow
Shoutout to Silja's voice!!! she's flawless 😭😭😭❤❤❤❤
Aurora is absolutely amazing. We are witnessing a genius.
I would love to hear the the story of how she wrote this song, and where the inspiration for the lyrics lies. This song is simply hypnotizing...She's a true musician.
She said once before a performance this song was a love story where one lover kills the other
omg its so good even chad dropped his monster to come give a listen
A true fairy
this song is the second part to Murder Song. where the ghost of the murdered lover comes back to haunt the murderer in their dreams, until their sanity erodes to nothing.... like a stone can be broken into sand
so many interpretations of this song, so ethereal...
Are you kidding me?? what is this voice?? My fucking life flashed before my eyes!!! Truly amazing
Oh here I am now, feel the wildness, my love!"
I could go on like this for hours. She is extraordinary. Created her own genre. Her body and her music are inseparable. WOW! Thank you, Aurora, on behalf of all of us that can't express our emotions so colorful!
More like a suicide? Like she jumped out the window
"Is the earth colored red
as I land
like a flower on the meadow"
and
"I will return from the shadows
And I'll bleed in your bed
Turn it red
Like the ground outside your window"
Gorgeous song anyhow! 🥰
The audio recording here is great. Cheers to Cameron Wiley for capturing one of the best vocal recordings of Aurora I've heard.
I listened to it on my tube amp here. Damn, such an sensible sound that is. So great!!
its weird, after hearing aurora, i find all other voices and songs not so remarkable anymore..
except for Matt Bellamy
@@matthewk.4635 I actually don't see the similarity to bjork that much to be honest. I think she is more like "alice phoebe lou" or "enya "..
@@matthewk.4635 definitely, check Bjork. one of the kind.
@@matthewk.4635 Aurora is not Icelandic, she's from Norway, although we are much of the same people!
Lol, yea she totally broke music for me. Now everything's like meh
This is my absolute favorite version of this song. It gets me every time.
its perfect
I think this version is better than the original, i like this more.
Yeah, me too. It feels idk how to explain it. It just makes me feel more.
i always prefer her live versions, almost never hear the "original" ones ahah she's that magic
This has way more calm. I think the spotify version is way too fast
her songs are mostly like that i guess. i love her live singing versions of the songs better than the originals
The version from Live at Nidarosdomen blew me away
3:26 the way how she sang "voice" is so Aurora's
Her delivery is so delicate. It's like a wonderfully elaborate and pretty snowflake. You can only observe it carefully without disturbing it, but touch it lightly and it just melts away.
Wow.. Maybe the most beautiful thing I've ever experienced. Sitting here with my phone... In a completely different world.
I'm glad that Silja Sol is getting recognition for her harmony vocals in these comments. They sound so beautiful together.
she really has a soothing voice that can’t be described
She looks like a japanese moon goddess who went to earth to sing cause shae was bored in heaven
That is like a myth or a legend?
Kaguya Hime!😍
Shes norwegian 😘
100% agree with your comment
@@lorenslamb no shit sherlock
On one hand she amaze me, but on the other hand she Terrifies me. Why? Cuz there's something in her song that makes me get the feeling that "If I'm not careful, I'll loose my self". She gives me thrills and chills... Anyone else get that kind of feeling? Or is it just me?
Yeap!
I was thinking the exact same thing, her songs are like a siren, have beauty, calms you but when you look carefully you are kind of afraid of it, it's crazy
Sometimes I have to hold on tight . . . then go to the calm . .
It is your ego disappearing :) Aurora has this effect on me also
Yes it is
No fancy video. Just pure sounds from two world class performers.
the "don´t you speak over my voice part" is insaaaane
Still amazing :)
and will forever be!
i had accidentally clicked on this video, and holy shit best mistake ever because my jaw dropped when i heard her
The second voice deserves more attention. So beautiful, so perfect!
Beautiful 😭 And Silja really shines here. I particularly like the parts where she sings the line first before Aurora, like a reverse echo. And that harmonization 💕
2:52 Instant chills man. Such a calm but powerful song.
I’m half Norwegian and she makes me so proud to have family from the country that blessed us with her
I’m all American and she makes me sad I’m not Norwegian
I cannot describe the goosebumps I get while listening to this on repeat. The tone you use when saying "my voice" near the end, the "don't you speak over my voice" part, is just... just... oh god, that's why this song has been going on repeat for the last week.

Es adictiva, para mi es terapia ella sano mi corazón triste y mi alma a vuelto a mi pensé que la había perdido
The look in her eyes when she says "Love is wild" screams the cry of s thousand voices 🤍
THE best rendition of this song, I wish it was on Apple Music! I’d pay for this version. I love it’s simplistic and pure form
Around 3:20 is just incredible... her vocals around "my voice" are judt so impressive
I’m so thankful that I discovered Aurora in 2023. I will not be the same.
So true. I have no words for my feelings she’s touching.
at 2:18 you actually can see the expression of awkward silence on her face when she utter the word 'quiet'. It gave me goosebumps...
I Was not ready for this part 3:00
No one was.
Complete perfection. Gives me goosebumps every single time.
Doesn't beat the Live In Nidarosdomen version of this song imo
Her voice is sooooooo beautiful
The way she uses her chest voice for "voice" in the lyrics "don't speak over my voice" hits so goddamn hard.
The harmony between these 2 is simply amazing!! even the angels in heaven pause to listen
Another reason that i'm still living, I feel so lucky to be a live in same century as Aurora. Thanks for reminding me that good time will come while living on this small planet.
Listened to this 4 years ago and I keep on coming back to this masterpiece ❤️🫶🏻
This is one song...while i listen to it and i close my eyes i see mountains, forests and water...i finally feel free from all pain. I could cry.
She has so much succes because her style is like remastered eclesial music, the rhytm is religious and therefore speaks to the soul.
This is the most amazing performance i've ever seen.
I really love how you can hear every noise her mouth is making, it makes the song that much more intimate and personal
So pure. This is the music of nature. The amount of feeling these singers infuse into the song is incredible. Much love. ❤️
I've lost track of how many times I've watched this performance.. it's beautiful.
It helps me figure out my emotions in a way.
She is angel on earth
The way she annunciates Pillow is perfect, if i had a favourite word sung in a song that would be it
She makes me feel like everything is going to be ok...i wish everyone who reads this to be blessed and to be happy and free from regret, hate, sadness and any other thing that holds you down. break free from it. Embrace it.
Thank you Aurora! Silja too. You just did the best version of this wonderful song. See you in 2 weeks in Bergen. Can hardly wait!
I'm travelling to see one of her Bergen shows too, very excited! :D
@@leem6244 Wish I could do that! I just began listening to Aurora about a week ago...missed all of the US tour dates.

Her voice is a therapy itself
absolutely heartbreaking, and beautiful, and ethereal, and perfect, and I cry every time.
She's the only artist who's given me chills before, she's so amazing
Shes so smooth like a feather. She is an angel. God sent to sing for us. Her voice make me forget everything.
