The LEGO® Technic™ Volvo FMX Truck & EC230 Electric Excavator (42175) comes with a flatbed trailer, toy electric excavator and charging station, giving kids an immersive building project with 2 detailed model vehicles to explore.
Young builders can open the doors on the LEGO Technic truck and tilt the operator’s cabin to see its 6-cylinder moving piston engine. Then they can steer the truck toy into position, detach the trailer and fold down the ramp to roll the excavator off.
The excavator toy comes with opening doors and a ton of features. See it swivel 360 degrees on its tracks then use the pneumatic pump to lift and lower the scoop. Now that I’ve got it, I think that it is my favourite lego set of all time. The pneumatic system is amazing, it’s an enjoyable build, I love all the features and details and I love Volvos. It’s fantastic

Funny to see pneumatics on an electric excavator, but still prefer that over linear actuators
I get the point, but the real machine also uses the electricity only to power the hydraulic pumps. Instead of there being a diesel engine, so the machine runs on a hydraulic system,but it's just powered by electricity instead of diesel.

Yeah linear actuators are stronger but way too slow for this love the pneumatics!

This Lego set reminds me of the Mercedes Benz Arocs we had from 2015. It has the same engine, same peunatic features and same functions, I like the set and all but I wish the truck and trailer had working suspension.
The engine is completely different
@@AustrianBrickFan it’s built different but same amount of cylinders. Both have a in line six
the Arocs had four pneumatic functions, this one has just two.
And it was powered, so Arocs still is unbeatable.
@@DNovac however there are two other Pneumatic sets, which have caught my attention: Unimog 8110 (also powered) and 8455, which has a whopping 10 (!) pneumatic cylinders (for 7 functions).

No
Not saying this is a bad set or anything, looks quite good... But I think it's a bit dubious and misleading that they have the word "electric" in the name, and the set features a "battery pack" component in the build... but it actually has no electrics or battery... I think many people will buy this set and be disappointed to find out it actually is not an electric set at all. Seems like a very strange choice, and poor marketing. For example, according to Australian consumer law, I believe anyone who buys this set would be able to receive a full refund because of "false advertising"...
200 € - minimal funktions - no really interesting parts [ the new smaller technic frame ] - to small for flagship technic set. Looks like 100 €...
Not a fan of the the double buckets to make one big bucket. I wish it was just one piece oh well I’m still going to buy
Einen Kritik Punkt gibt es am Bagger : Warum wurden da 2 einzelne kleine Schaufeln verbaut? Meines Wissens gibt es passende dafür.

@@derlegoversteherundfan493neh, die hat keine Zähne! Der E160 hatte ja eine Greifer- Schaufel. Ausserdem wird dieses Teil seit 2016 nicht mehr produziert

Bei 200 € wäre ein neuer Mould schon drin gewesen aber nun ja. Das Video ist gut gemacht. Das Modell wiederum eine einzige mittelgroße Enttäuschung...subjektiv wohlgemerkt. Manchen wirds gefallen

This is just sad for 200 euros. The tractor and trailer look so shoddy. Remember when 200 euros got you the way larger Arocs, with 500 more pieces, suspension all around, proper piston engine, 4 motorized functions, 4 pneumatic functions, and a B model?
And almost 10 years ago! Inflation 2015 to now ~ 35%, means Arocs would now cost 270€
@@AustrianBrickFan The Arocs still has 23% more pieces, power functions and B-model. It's not just inflation.

You're 100% right, the 200 euro is just too much... Which is why it costs 150 at many stores already 😅 still wondering if it's worth it though... Thought it had an electric pump based on the box and that huge (now evidently useless) box.
Maybe the Mercedes Arocs isn't a good comparison, but how about the Mack Anthem?
