Can't wait to try this. I have Vanilla vibes & Beach walk & love them both so will be happy if it smells similar. A 90ml bottle is £100 here in the UK & I have luckily ordered mine with a 25% discount. I had told my-self no more blind buys!! But the notes in this are right up my alley. Thanks for your review. Just got a small decanter and love it. The vanilla is so beautiful, and yes it does remind of Beach Walk. Next to Angel, it may be a favorite of theirs.
This is the only alien (even mugler itself) perfume that i like😅 been seeing/reading a lot of reviews hating on this but i absolutely love this🤍
Thanks for the review! I'm always tempted to buy Alien flankers. However, I already have multiple Olympea versions and several summery Alien flankers. Will probably grab a sample and see what I think - good to know it smells good. I sampled but didn't love Beach Walk or Vanilla Vibes enough to buy them.
I’m a fan of the original Alien as well as some of the flankers, my fav being Alien Fusion. I went and ordered a 10ml to try this out after watching your review!

OMG, last month while browsing for a gift for someone else. I smelled Goddess and IMMEDIATELY bought it for myself. Didn't even wait for the dry down, it got me with the coconut opening.

So yes i do think there price is way to high.theres to many competing fragrances that are simlar better quality for less .its just whats in demand.ill get a bottle on ebay in a yr.for 50 bucks i can wait.wasnt crazy about the sun tan lotion vibe synthetic can be ok but sometimes its cheap smelling.maybe they used expensive vanilla and poored in some cheap pina colada mix in it haha.so happy to hear your thoughts.

I love alien goddess intense. It’s a stunner with the alien jasmine. Yes the prices are going up with designer perfumes but thankfully there’s discount sites 🎉

I love Over the Musk, but other than that I am not a Mugler fan. However, when you say vanilla, then I must try it! Thanks for the review, and yes, does sound pricey.

It's already being discounted in Europe though I have yet to see it in-store. I think it's a combination of bad timing and bad marketing. As mentioned, it should have been a new Mugler creation and not an Alien flanker. A "goddess" line would have been great! I'm sure I'll enjoy it because I enjoy most of Nathalie Lorson's creations, but I don't want to blind buy. Gorgeous bottle.

Just bought it in a gift set.its a beautiful scent.
I've got a sample of it the other day when I've purchased another fragrance, so I was able to test it at home, but I really didn't like it. The opening was very harsh and synthetic and smelled like bubblegum and after it dried down, it left your typical tropical vanilla. It reminded me a bit of Olympea and some other from La vie est belle range. On my skin it didn't last long and soon became a skin scent. The positive thing is that it doesn't resemble the original Alien and if you get past the opening, it's not a bad fragrance. Here, the retailer price is 126 euros, but I think that soon you'll be able to find it on sale too.

Good afternoon from Nederland, as user of Angel and I already have 45, and yes I know wat was angel before and after the L'Oréal and the accords from the parfum industry. Yes he was wild, not for everyone and very very strong. I smell the new alien goddess he is beautiful, he is a light vanilla very open very fruit. For me I will not say that is a parfum to conquer the world, personally I like vanilla parfums. And the most favourite still is PERRIS MONTE CARLO. VANILLA. You have to try is deep close and let always think. Big kisses from Nederlands

I like this since a lot of beach/coconut fragrances add the salt which doesn't work well with me. It could last longer but if I add a vanilla or coconut lotion it lasts 6-8 hours.
Thanks for your honesty and for giving a shout out to the perfumers at the end. Marie Salamagne created Beach Walk s so I'm not surprised that some of it's accord may have found it's way into Goddess. I've just recently looked into her body of work and it's very impressive (Armani Prive, Lune Feline, Loubirouge, Replica, Black Opium range, Jo Malone, D&G Pineapple).
Yes she's done great work and all of the fragrances at Atelier Des Ors! :)

I agree that it doesn't smell like Alien. Maybe this is why I like it so much:) I find it very comfortable, it does not bother my nervous system at all. Also quite long lasting. Fortu ately, here it Germany it retails for a lot less than in the US.
Also, I agree that Alien Nova is not a pleasant fragrance and that it also does not have much to do with the original alien.
All in all, I like Goddess a lot.
I agree with your review. I would add that if you’re going to name this as an Alien flanker, than at least make it have the sillage of Alien. At this point, only the endurance and Jasmine note (which feels like an afterthought) allude to it even remotely being related to Alien … nowhere near enough in my eyes. While this is really lovely, and I’m not sorry I purchased it, the price point is ridiculous.

A while ago I received a sample of Alien Oud Majestueux and absolutely loved it. It reminded me of Al-Khatt from Xerjoff and I ended up buying a bottle. I was never into floral scents so much before until I got into the jasmine in the Alien line. I really enjoy the note of vanilla as well so I may have to give this one a try.
This is exactly what I thought when i smelled it. Reminded me of beach with my wife!
My thoughts exactly on a flanker. Smells nothing like original alien, so it feels like they are riding that coattail. It’s excellent on its own and would be more exciting being released independently. They are just too different for it to be a “flanker”
Its an expensive, feminine, present, sweet and beach smell. IM OBSESSED
Refill here in Australia is $200. I'm over the price gouging going on!

I love vanilla but the price tag yes why so expensive? Maybe I'll catch it on sale or something. But really love vanilla and you sold me to at least test.

This is an old post, but I just bought 3 oz (?) for $102.00 not including taxes. I hit a Black Friday Macy's sale, free shipping and a gift. Yes, $170.00 for 90 ml is ridiculous. 🥥
Def too much for Mugler but considering Burberry Goddess charges like $160 for that “bodymist” ? These companies are insane with the prices
I really liked it and since I don't have signature scent because mine was discontinued 5 years ago I haven't smell something signature worthy but I will never pay full price. Maybe when 1 oz. is 35$ I I can afford it 😉 plus I am collecting fragrances I maybe don't have signature scent but I have a lot of other good fragrances so I can wait to reduce this ridiculous price 😉
In Holland it is 98 euro for the 90 ml so price went down a bit

New Angel’s sillage is weaker than the original a lot. :( i’m so sad about that. The smell is still similar, but weaker.

Alien has been my signature scent for 15 years. It’s top tier in my book. I have Aura as well. It’s only right for me to get goddess 🤩🤩🤩

It smells like a less annoying version of TF Soleil Blanc. It really doesn’t have much silliage tho
I just made a vanilla fragrence. vanillin and vanilla tinctures are cheap as chips.

Is the "diluted" smell part of the scent? Because I tried this perfume again after about a week and it smells diluted...
Went to Macy's to try this out, it does smell beachy but meh. Notes are generic like all the department store new launches...such as Lancome soliel crystal, tresor la nuit nude...all have the same coconutty vanilla floral. Pass.
It's sad I loved Thierry Mugler but seems like they are intent on self sabotage.They have discounted almost all the mens scents and the reformulations do not help either.Hopefully this is the beginning on a resurgence of the brand and new releases/re-releases will be forthcoming.

I bought this Alien version and didn't realize how much the vanilla comes out in warm conditions. I don't like it when it's too vanilla 😕. It gives me a headache

Alien goddess should not be an alien flanker. It veers in a totally different direction, but it smells nice. I also didn’t enjoy angel nova. Sometimes the muglar site has 40 percent off sales. I bought a travel size, not spending that much for a bottle.
I actually got ahold of The OG alien for $40.00 on ebay. When I say OG i mean the actual Theirry Mugler OG before reformulation. Absolute Masterpiece.

I agree the price is really high for an Alien Flanker. I was lucky to get 20% off but it still stung a bit. I think the biggest hurdle for me was getting past the "lightness" of Goddess. It's not the typical Alien punch-you-in-the-face DNA. It's crisp and light with a nod to Alien. Once I separated the two, I could appreciate Goddess for what it was and stopped asking "what happened to Alien"....Maybe it should have been released on it's own and not as a flanker?
I agree with you it does not have the Alien DNA. It is a total different perfume. MUGLER perfumes are Known for being beast mode and this one is not. It is super Light. I barely smell it on me. The Mugler house used to be so creative and would create original and polarizing scents like a niche house. What's happening??!!
