Inov8 now based in Cumbria (north west) but started out in Wolsingham in Weardale. Absolute mudbath round there all year round. Inov8 have made shoes for all terrains, but this type of shoe is where they started and do best. I’ve worn a lot of their shoes, look forward to trying these too. Pricey but if you only wear them on soft ground and clean them often, they’ll last a long time.
They selling them in 2 different Width! You can choose the precision fit or the wide one! Very clever! Love Inov8 but all models are quite specific! Great Video!!!
Just tried on the wide version and it's much more foot like than any previous Inov8 shoe. This new last is a big improvement for people like me who found Inov8 mostly too narrow.
Inov8 are a great company. The clothing is excellent and might need a pair of these with the current state of play (wet and muddy) in Cambridgeshire, England 🏴
I don’t have mountains, but we have muddy flat trails many times a year. I have used INOV8 before (teraultra g270), very solid shoe. This shoe screams UK mud to me.
Located in east TN. The Smoky Mountains get muddy this time of year. I keep a pair of Salomon Speedcross for those runs. Love that upper and outsole! In the summer/ dry trail runs, i like the Salomon sense rides!
Thanks Seth for reviewing these shoes! The written info you put on the screen is CRITICAL: These shoes are available in 2 different widths, so if the « precision fit » is too narrow for you… then you have the option of a wider fit. I am still running in the Montreal winters in 2 pairs of Innov-8 Arctic Talon 275 with 8mm lugs AND spikes. Firm ride but love them nonetheless!
Uk based here and inov8 are my preferred off road shoes. Flexibility and grip along with fit are the priorities for me. The footpaths where I live are muddy enough for probably 5months of the year to need the grip. Even when it gets firmer I like to run in an older pair with worn down studs.
Inov-8 is one of the greatest options for serious trail runners! G270 TrailFly is my favorite overall go-to daily trainer. The OROC Ultra is the best ice spike around for otherwise unrunnable icy trails, rivaled only by the spiked version of the Norda 001. Excited about the new products!
During the Hurricane Season here in the islands, the Scenic roads get very muddy. I've used the Inov-8 Trailfly Terraultra GT300.

QD: orienteering in Finland is pretty much running in bogs. There are also lots of mossy rocks and fallen slick tree trunks, which require studded shoes.
Most runners on the Front Range don't tear up the trails when they're extremely muddy, because it wrecks them... they dry hard and uneven. Back on the east coast, there's no way around the mud, and the trails simply don't get wrecked like front range trails can... so ya go run in it... but yeah, no one on the Front Range should be getting these to go wreck their local trails during "mud season"... cool shoes though.
If you’re a serious trail/fell/obstacle course runner, once you try inov8s you will not want to go back I promise you. The grip on these bad boys are unmatched. Other trail shoes are just a joke man.
Honestly, I try to avoid mud - I don't want to damage my local trails too much - had a recent mudfest at the Black Canyon 100k event last weekend...first 8-9 miles were absolutely a mess, never dealt with that much clay-sticky mud. That shoe looks fire for mud but not sure it would be versatile enough for every other kind of run and surface I'd want to do?
Seth love your channel and have been tuning in since 2020. Just a suggestion for a video or two. You haven’t mentioned your thoughts on the Olympic Trials marathon race, and how it went down. You haven’t mentioned Kiptum in a video either. Those two topics could be separate videos alone and would break up this shoe review streak you’re on. Talk about what’s happening in the running world! We care about your thoughts!

PNW here, mud is life and INOV8's are my go-to.
Here in Central Pennsylvanias mountains, mud season can come any time during the year.

In the UK pretty much all winter runs will involve mud, really looking forward to trying these out
Great to see Inov8 back on the channel. I remember that first vid you featured them on - and then won a race in them?

A must run shoes,,inov8
@Seth sorry for the offtopic. Just came out the nem Salomon Ultra Flow, dont you want to show us?
Mud, bogs, fell country - you summed up my county of Cumbria UK in a nutshell at this time of year 😂 no wonder Inov8 are from here too!!
I found some mud on Rampart Range Rd yesterday and my shoes felt like cement after a few steps in that stuff
Would they be good for technical trails also?
how much,,? is this available here in pinas?
I bought a pair from inov-8 last week and they were $150.
How does it perform on wet Rock?
I'm from the North West of England, I pretty much spend 6 months a year running in deep mud 😂
I'm sure they can’t be that price, Only £130 in the UK
