My fur-brother growing up was a lab named Buck. He had the same fox-ret hair as me. He was the greatest boi ever, and to hear you repeatedly say his name as he bravely fought of the cryptid I'm terrified the most of, made me feel something great deep down. Miss you every day, mother-Bucker! Thank you, Lighthouse!!!
Labs are really something special, aren't they? Mine was a black lab. His mother was very much my dad's dog, an an ornery one. Way too muscly for her own good. Her pup was very much my dog. That once-in-a-lifetime dog. jet black fur, with a patch of white right on his chest. When he was a puppy, it was shaped like a star, though it became less prominent as he grew. Lived to the ripe old age of 15 before I laid him to rest with his mama. Still got his bowl over the fireplace, next to a picture of him jumping off the dock and into the nearby lake we lived by at the time.
Mine was a Lab-Doberman mix named Jax, he just spoke to me at the shelter and was my best friend. He lived to be about 13, I feel terrible because I wasn’t there when he passed, which was something I was afraid of at the time anyway. I miss him ever day
Part of what is so good about your narration is that I see and feel the dog right next to you. He doesn't make a sound, but his presence is palpable and welcome throughout the story.
Sitting here in Florida, in the middle of a hurricane, worst one ever, and what happens, Lighthouse!! Still have power, wind, rain, and Lighthouse! Oh, lucky day!
@Auntiehoney217 I was actually afraid to read the comments because I was worried that Buck wasn't going to make it!! So happy he/they made it!!😅PHEW!!!!🤣🤣
Thanks so very much for sharing your extraordinary skills Stephen. I’m 70 something and still lean forward at the exciting moments just like when I was a kid listening to Pancho & Cisco on the radio. Had a little déjà-vu and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The Lighthouse is shining EXTRA brightly for me tonight since I finally got power back on today! Thanks for the story to ease me back into some sort of normalcy for a little while.
Lol mone was the same way. I had a lil female Lasha And she would try to go after male pit bulls and such, thank God I live in NYC and it's highly illegal not to have a dog any dog on a leash. If I didn't have her and be able to lift her right up anr the other folks didn't hold their dogs back mine would have gotten bit to death for sure
Mine are city girls. They decided to chase a black and white "kitty" out in the country at my dad's. When it didn't run, they stood there with their noses in its butt. Wow they stank for a solid month! I also have opossums that walk my fence at night. One dog ran up the 6' fence, pulled the opossum down, and "killed" it. I looked back a few minutes later, and the other one was licking it until it got back up, still trying to lick it while it was snarling and drooling at her. 🙄
Omg it has been a while since the number for Good went up! I'm glad to see that.. Good job, Jack.. and good boy, Buck! I really love these pet stories. Bambi, Lucy, the cats in Disneyland, etc. Keep them coming! Thank you, LH!
This is amazingly written story and one of your best narrations yet! Just so believable and visceral - the voice, the accent, the cadence, how he expresses himself and sound effects. amazing.
Awesome, good story! I love dogs. Mine passed away recently. I want another of course, though I'm not quite over Mac's untimely end. I want one like ol' Buck. Some dogs just have that.. almost spiritual connection with their partners. For lack of a better waynto say it. Great story lighthouse. Keep up the good work.
Call of the wild by Jack London meets lighthouse horror. Beautiful, my favorite childhood story book, and my favorite narrator. A dog named Buck. I love it.
I really loved this story. The detail and emotion in every sentence had me glued to every word. That and Buck reminded me of my old Sheppard Zeno... First time in a long while I've shed a tear listening to a horror story. Awesome story, flawless narration.
Thank you so much, that was a brilliant story, almost made me cry at the end, i could feel the pain and tiredness in your voice it all felt very real, x
My Sparky boy would have been after a wendigo like a shot! Having 3 legs does bot slow him down. He is fierce when it comes to protecting me & the house. He is such a good dorky boy!! I think this ranks up as one of my favorite stories from you!
Buck is such a good boy! Thank you for this, cryptid aside, very touching story about a man & his dog. Very rarely do cryptid stories make me smile! Much love from SW LA 💚!
I have a "going to sleep" playlist of my fav Lighthouse Horror tales & this is definitely getting added to it. And I LOVE the main character's voice. Yes, i listen to these to go to sleep, it's strange I know. But my fellow Lighthouse Horror lovers understand. We're a special species. ✨😌😴🌜🩵💛
I really like this one. It's spoke to me sometimes all you need is one friend someone who will really have your back even if you're not shiny and new anymore.
Ole Buck my kind of dog, kinda remind me of my 22yr old dog he would chase just about anything. Another great story as usual friend keep up with the amazing stories.
This is just awesome. Showing those pesky wendigos that they're nothing more than pests. And that they could never overcome true love between the living.
Expecting Milton as long as internet holds out? I'm happy to see a post from lighthouse, I'm making sure its fully loaded before I get too invested, thank you for keeping me entertained
@@Cat-Tiger-Taegi-Cult yes, thanks for asking. All is better than I expected. Lost power for a few hours, but the army of power workers got it back up in a speed I am marveling at.

I look forward to everything you drop! I think I've listened to everything on your channel over the last year at work. Thinking of listening to that 5-hour my grandma made monster stories again You are phenomenal man keep it up!

I used to be so terrified of these stories. Now I can't get enough of them! I love Lighthouse Horror. I've been listening for years nows. Keep going Steve!
Thank you so much for doing a story that has no rules! I really appreciate the break from all the rules stories and this one was awesome! Thank you Stephen! I hope you and everyone reading this has a wonderful evening!🤗💜🕷💀
Another excellent story! Your animation adds the perfect atmosphere for every story and today’s animation was especially well done. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Love stories with Dogs being the hero!
All is right with the world when dogs take their rightful place in stories. 😊🐾
Some of my favorite stories. It started for me with Dean Koontz and Watchers. Loved that dog in that story.
This one's a real tear jerker. Something about the bond between a man and his beast.
Glad I'm not the only one crying. Dogs are too good, too brave and pure and protective..too everything.
"He never listened unless he felt like it". That described my dog perfectly. At least she was beautuful.
Mine too. She has a mind of her own. But I love that girl!
Just the right combination of terrifying and heartwarming. Thanks, Lighthouse!
Your pace through the action in this story was perfect. Great work!
Lighthouse Horror and Myuu's music, it don't get much better than this.
Gotta love classic Myuu
Beautifully written and narrated with compassion. No wonder, or mystery, as to why you're my favorite channel ❤ 🎤📚

I think this would make a good movie.. just an old man, and his old wolf dog fighting a wendigo in a snow storm
Yes! But I fear Hollywood would screw it up!

Great story. Dogs are mans only freind. Better than people. Glad you kept him alive 😊
A good dog by his side, and a man can face just about anything. We're good like that.
I can think of a plethora of exceptions to that, and those goodboys and goodgirls memories need remembering.. But the sentiment is understood.
