Lee Van Cleef was never a stuntman. He was in a head-on accident in 1958 or '59 that almost killed him. Physical therapy wasn't really a thing back then. Was told he'd never ride a horse again. Had done dozens and dozens of TV appearances and lots of b movies up to that point, usually as one of the lackies of the main bad guy. Worked to get over injuries, but could not get film work. Got some TV work. Needed work. Ready to quit acting, when Sergio Leone came along with offer for FAFDM. LvC wasn't his first choice. As for the toupee (front hair piece) he wore it in some movies, but not most. He died in 1989, at the age of 64 of a heart attack. For the movie of his with the most female fan service, check out Barquero.

Finally! What a handsome man he was! I literally fell in love with him the good, the bad and the ugly movie. My ex-hub looks like him 😭😭😭😭😭
