I really needed to hear this today. I’m not made to carry the burden of outcomes, yet I anxiously hold onto them, trying to control what I know I can’t. I want to trust God fully, but I’m not there yet. I strive for peace, but it often feels just out of reach. I’m learning that peace isn’t something I achieve; it’s a gift from God that I receive right in the middle of my mess. When anxiety rises, I remind myself that I don’t have to fix everything. Jesus invites me to come to Him for rest, not perfection. I release the need to manage every detail and trust that God is working, even when I don’t see it. Today, I take one small step toward letting go and leaning into His presence. I release one outcome, trusting Him with the rest. My peace is here, not because I control things, but because I trust He’s in control.

Thank you so very much John. I’m at peace now after talking with my brother who is dying and my sister who has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and my kitty who I was trying so hard to save. All is well now with us all. We know God is in charge. Bless you.
