    Les Jarrett is not selling the Blue Mountain & Reading Story anymore, it never made the transition to DVD. Perhaps with a little prodding, people can convince him to think otherwise.

    Thank you for sharing Greg, I used to watch this over and over and over again with my sons. Five times five was never enough for them and now I miss seeing it. Watching this brought back wonderful memories.

    I live across the street from the Laureldale Cemetery next to the Temple Station although they dont run much anymore. I miss the steam trains I love the sound of live steam. We hear the regular trains on the main line every day but there is somthing about live steam there is no sound like it that can be duplicated along with the power and the magic of the old locomotives.

      A sadder scene is Hamburg, the poor fireless cooker. A coach was recently demolished down there.

    I thought Leslie did a very find job. I remember the boss wanting me to send a copy of the tape to his cousin, who was serving over in Iraq during the first Gulf War, and let the troops enjoy it. And that Public Relations Director wasn't half bad either.

    You said Les Jarrett isn't selling this program anymore. Did he say why?

    • @GregoryDPawelski
      @GregoryDPawelski  9 лет назад +2

      Les Jarrett's Blue Mountain & Reading Story was very educational and entertaining. However, there wasn't enough "interest" in the tape to make it to DVD.

    • @GregoryDPawelski
      @GregoryDPawelski  9 лет назад +2

      Kevin Cleary I did and didn't get any interest in it.

      How come?

    • @GregoryDPawelski
      @GregoryDPawelski  9 лет назад +2

      Kevin Cleary Don't know why. Perhaps it is more educational than entertaining and today's video watchers seem to like lots of action. Just my guess.

      Kevin Cleary it could be copyright reasons. But that's my opinion.

    I miss the BM&R at it's original location but they have much more track now to run different trips. I wish 2102 would run again and run a public excursion from Port Clinton to Mt. Carmel or Hazelton up the mountain through Haucks. That would be awesome.

    Was Chris Bost with the company since the beginning in Sept. 1983? But 425 didn't run until 1986? 1985 was mostly diesel power except for the mainline 2102 trips in Sept. 1985? Chris must have been from Allentown area because he is a 1981 Parkland High School graduate, I graduated 1992. I live just west of Allentown. Last time steam went through our area was the Emmaus trips in early 90's with 2102 and 425. Last public mainline trips with steam through Allentown were in 1988 with 2102 and 765.
