This is a BEAST I'm loving it
Great review! It's inspired me to get this reverb from Slate! It sounds amazing as far as I can tell from your review here and you were not being biased. Thanks :)
Correction: The Lexicon 480L was released in 1986, so it technically was not released in the early 1980s. The first Lexicon reverb was the Model 224.
It is the only reverb I use now
This is the worst prepared for but most fun review video I have ever seen. It was a lot of fun watching you play with this. Thanks for posting this.
The reverse reverb would probably sound a lot better on less busy parts.
I have the worst timing with plugins. I JUST bought bx_RooMS and then this comes along. Had this come out first, I'd just end up with this, rather than both. Oh well I'm sure I'll find uses for both this & RooMS.
Haha, thanks! I love playing with new reverb and delay effects. They make the boring/dry recorded tracks really come alive!
You're probably right about the reverse reverb. I've never used one in a mix before so I will just have to keep playing with it to see what works. There is a "Gatey 80's Drums" preset that I'll have to try.
Damn that Bricasti sounded GREAT on acoustic.. I have the everything bundle and I just got around to installing this plugin yesterday.. I haven't had the opportunity to try it myself yet, but my partner is probably giving it a run tonight.. I can't wait to now! We have the Lexicon PCM bundle and I feel you on the "sh#! ton" of controls comment! Lol I definitely can't wait to play with this.
Not sure if you know, but you can use mouse scroll over the parameters window to flip the impulses.
I didn't at the time but I did leave that tip in the video description. :-)
I'm getting this tomorrow in the Everything Bundle. Can't wait to try it out.
15 mins for 3.5 GB sounds fair. My connection''s gonna take 1-2 hrs.
How hard is it hitting on the CPU?
Hella tight.

What is your opinion about the the native instrument's lexicon emulation made by softube, which reverb are the best ?
Thank you
I've never used it.
My go to reverbs have been Exponential Audio Phoenix/R2, Lexicon LXP Native and Waves IR-L.
Did you have any issues downloading this? I can't get it to download
Besides the download seemingly taking forever (on a fiber optic ISP), no. No problems downloading the files.
RealHomeRecording.com hey so I found the download links for it. Sounds pretty damn clean!!!
god damn i was about to get the phoenix verb, damn i might get this now
The test on the harmonica, wow. It makes it way more natural and alive :|
you sound like slate himself,,
LOL, you aren't the first person to say that! Personally, I don't hear it but yeah...LOL ruclips.net/video/mPsZSQYRRPA/видео.html
Was just about to write the same comment! :)
lol , its almost same hahahahaha
I understand why old analog synthesizers are better then modern digital synthesizers but i do not understand why old digital reverbs are so good? Can somebody explain me truth?
The Bricasti M7 is from 2008 (I think). Processing power is one factor, know how of the developer is another.
Well, the old digital reverbs tried to recreate physical spaces but did it pretty badly. Instead they managed to create a sound of their own which many people tend to like. That gritty old reverb sound can actually sound a lot better in a mix than a modern smooth digital reverb.
gawd damn
shit ton.
