I am disgusted by George Thomson's evidence to the committee here. He should be thoroughly ashamed of himself. Sod the damage to the Post Office brand - the truth of what was happening to these poor subpostmasters is what is important here.
What a smug, evil pair of women they are!
Knowing what we know now that by the time they were giving this evidence they knew there were isdyrd with the system and the sub postmasters were innocent makes me sick watching them.
They need to be held legally accountable. People died for crying out loud 😡
two of the worst sitting behind van bogan n vennell are the scummy po lawyers, mark davies n chris aujard. the only really decent legal advice came from susan creighton, whom both vennells n alice wahatsit schemed to get rid of.
Paula Vennells : “I could not as Chief Executive of the Post Office put this scheme (Horizon) in place and not do it properly”. Well, you failed miserably love and tried to cover up your failures by breaking the law and destroying innocent people's lives. Your assets should be seized as proceeds of crime and you should face a hefty prison sentence. If this had happened in the USA you'd already be in jail pending trial.
Exactly, the UK is awful at prosecuting white collar crime. CEO's who fail big time like Paula Vennells almost never get prison sentences and get to keep their gold plated pensions....
Think this time it may just be different.@@sc3304
Whenever Vennells gets asked a question, her response "can I start by saying, because it's important that [I need to puke out some corporate lies on how good we are]. I think she even starts by saying thanks "for letting the PO come to the meeting" !!! she is lost in her own little mind.
Thank goodness for Jason Beer KC, and Howle(?) and Co at Inquiry now!
We shall see you week after next Vennels 🤬! (And as for you Angel van Didn't Bother...oh dear! Didn't get such an easy time at inquiry, as here, did you)!?

The joy on Alan’s face as he listens to them stumble over each other is fantastic to see 😂👌
This is gold! Paula really shows no shame whatsoever, just like Elizabeth Holmes
Defending a flawed system at any cost including people's lives. Too many vested interests at stake.
Cover-ups and smoke and mirrors.
Alan needs to be in the House of Lords
I can smell toast, as the enquiry restarts next week
Can I hear two creaking jail cell doors opening?
Regarding the video resolution: the source video on the Parliament TV website is only available in 360p. No higher resolution exists.
PV appears to have been asleep at the wheel...
So 8 years ago and they currently deny all knowledge.
The Paula Vennels section starts at 1:03:30
Like the PO the police investigate complaints about the force and are not an independent body.
1:12:15 Bare faced lies.
what a load of bull
This must be the most coughy video I have ever listened to.
Could PO systems be remotely accessed?
Cough.
No
Does anyone know when George Thompson, Gareth Jenkins and Duncan Tait are giving evidence?
If you Google the official inquiry website, it's got the timetable of witnesses and dates.
@@IllustrafulI think Gareth Jenkins will be on for 4 days in June 2024
@@caterinawilliams998 i'd heard there was some debate about jenkins appearing. he's said he can be very informative but wanted an indemnity from po prosecution before doing so, implying, i think, he can well n truly drop po n possibly fujitsu, right in the crap.
@@michelebourke4340 according to the inquiry timeline he will be on for 4 days at the end of June...yes he asked twice for immunity but he didn't get it... I m not even sure if he can change his mind at the last second like that top lawyer ( working very closely with Paula Vennells) who is now in Australia and has refused to appear even remotely to the inquiry
I like Zahawi!!!
good bit from 1:24
Slimy

Who wants to be a millionaire scam, comes to mind, as tis a very loud cough 🙄😏
