- The legendary Rabea inspired me to do this loop for you guys, I think it is really cool and funky. Try to play the loop slower, it grooves really well too. I hope you dig it.
Thank you again for watching.

Danish Pete: The only man able to rock out and rock double-denim all at the same time.
Thomas Baxter weird seeing two of us here lol
Yeah, I've never known or spoken to anyone with my name before, then the first RUclips comment I post in months and you pop up. It feels weird seeing someone with your own name.
Thomas Baxter this is some trippy stuff
him and dexys midnight runners
That Stingray though!!
What a beauty!!
That Lightspeed is amazing
I think I would call that D a B minor, because the bass line goes through B while the chord voicing is ringing. In that way, the progression becomes a II-VI-V and the key is D major. Using the D major scale in the groove adds more juice.
Aside from your awesome talent, that guitar is just holding me by the balls and not letting go! Such a sweetheart. It looks like it sounds. Just dripping with sexiness and oozing tone.
These looper tutorials are awesome. Love the fact that you explain em and we can follow along. Unlike anything else on RUclips. You just earned another subscriber 🙂
Is it hard to be so awesome all the time Mr. P? Thanks again for some funky beats, and thanks for explanations too.
danish pete is a living legend man
Damn...the one man band does it again. Mind blown, week made. Thanks!!!
Thanks Pete , your so god damn funcky!!!! Talk about cutting corners , watching you for five minutes is a 2 hour master class.
Pete has demonstrated the value of a loop pedal: it only gets better with more layers....just like his denim...and his hair...and the grain of that fretboard...
😅👌🏻
I fell like leaving your channel on a loop and letting all the ads to run fully in the background in order to get you more funding. You a re a treasure. Make the EP.
Making it look easy Mr H. This vid is worth watching just for the blues licks.
At first during the rhythm part I was like: meh. But then during the lead part I was like: YEAH!
Keep em coming brother!
Damn you are a funky SOB!
Your playing inspires me every time.
what a tune. cheers for reminding me Pete ! legend :)
Thank you Pete... super catchy groove we’re the less you play over it, it makes me sound 👍... along with the super cool licks demo’d ... I’m always learning watching you!
Evening sir! Love this! Cool choice of guitar tonight!
Another great vid from the Dane. Most of the times I watch your playing and ideas I get inspired, especially when you go outside the blues box.
Ordered an RC3 after seeing these vids and getting inspired,,, arrived today and LOVING it... Much easier to use than the basic Ditto I had which I just couldnt string a coherent loop with...
Two years later I've stolen your lick. It's mine now :) Thanks for sharing.
thanks man i have the best fun playing and learning with you you have so much feel thanks for sharing your stuff with us
Awesome Pete
It's father's Day I'm watching Pete thinking damn i wish Pete was my dad then we could jam all day
He clean with it
So funky and cool. You are such an inspiration. Keep the videos coming.
love it pete! it would be sweet to see you do a video about application of modes in blues playing
PLEASE do human nature. I saw you jamming little bit of it one day. Tried to work it out myself, but could really use your help!
Yeah that would be very cool :) .
There's some lessons out there breaking down the John Mayer version but if Pete would do it, that would be great ,nothing is worth a Pete video ;)
The John Mayer version is absolutely nailing the vibe of the song. I saw Jennifer Batten during a little showcase with maybe 15 people present (including me :-)) play the original version, and although she played it perfectly, the Mayer version sounds better with only guitar.
I second this!
“Nothing compares to you” would be pretty awesome to. Definitely has similar vibe and feel to some of other songs you’ve done.
YES PLEASE
Great Pete! Thanks for spending some time for showing us one of your cool licks, please do it more often ;)
Definitely going to jam with this in the future
Awesome jam! Also, I bet if you asked, they'd make you an honorary Canadian. Always a strong denim game.
I played this many times great demo
Awesome, as usual! Keep it going
Come on guys if you like Pete's content then he needs more subs than 29k. Get sharing!!
I ll be giving this a go on my trio+ as soon as I get home! Cheers Pete.
This is sick!
That was amazing.
You really inspire me to return to play guitar.. and then i realize i cant play at all 😅..
Anyway one more subscriber!
Groooooove. Love it.
Hi Pete. Can you do a demo for this guitar? I have become obsessed with that very guitar. Especially the new roasted maple neck models! Love the humbuckers on that guitar. The neck is amazing as well. Hope you can make a video with that music man guitar!
Damn it Danish Pete YOUR HOT FIRE!
You are amazing man
More funky stuff would be awesome!
That's awesome Pete! I should really get a loop pedal :)
Great video! How about a video teaching how to approach jazzier licks while still in a blues context? Some videos on RUclips are alright, but I feel like you could nail it.
It would have been cool to see you play the vocal melody of the song as well. I also want to see Human Nature. Sweet guitar and video
This is a great lesson/Demo Pete and I'm gunna give it a go. I am really curios though, what is the octave pedal you used here - it sounds aamaaazing.
I think I heard you call it an "Otava".....is that an "Octava by Pigtronix" ??
Fantastic loop Pete & Rabea. Just subscribed & learning the loop on a Flashback 2. Used a metronome app to keep me in time & trying to relearn my modals! Would this be E Dorian?
I can sort of hear some John Scofield stuff over this. Any thoughts on looking at that sort of thing with this or another loop? Thanks Pete, really appreciate these looping vids.
PS, F# and Db sound really good with this. Db isn't in the E minor scale. Why does it work? Some kind of modal thing I guess.
Think i like the guitar, sounds good looks good how does it play, looks like humbukers, new to ur stable ?
Peter, you and Mark Lettieri are truly the looper masters! That was AWESOME. Cheers!! BTW-love the Stingray beautiful neck, available at Andertons?
You should a video on your favorite licks, tricks, riffs and songs you played on the Tom Jones gig...
Mister Knight Owl agreed. Like he’s never done sex bomb oddly enough. That’s a good song.
You should do a video on the tascam DP-008EX please thanks
That would really help out
Oh my days this is too groovy
pete can you do an update with budget stuff?
Hold nu op, hvor var det svært at få det loop til at sidde i skabet, men fedt er det. Tak
Pete posted. I hit like. The rest is just luuurrrvvv...#gay4pete #beasspecialsocksauce #mattgivesusthehornby
Do you change the style of your pick attack when you do the bass, to get a softer sound? It looks like you angle the pick?
Pete you should demand the andertons staff refer to you as English Pete. Between the time of the celts and the time of the Norman French, England was inhabited by anglos and saxons from various parts of Germany. There was a third group in England then the danes from the continental strip of land known as Jutland. You have as much right to claim England as any of the andertons employees. Just sayin’. I’m a huge fan of English Pete and his purple guitars.
Would you try to do the same thing with a jimmy page type loop on a Mooer GE200? Then I subscribe 😀. I really enjoy your playing, sincerely.
ah but can you do a jam vaguely like "blame it on the boogie"
I sadly can't use a looper pedal as I only have a thr5 with no effects loop. 1st world problems ey
I don’t put loopers in the effect loop! I the front, but after all the pedals. Best. P
The solution is to use a distortion pedal and to use your amp on the clean channel.
Alex Curtis check out used stuff on reverb
your flies are open
Michael Jackson? I don't know who you mean Pete. That riff sounds a bit like Quincy Jones though.
The A after the D in the verse chords should be an A7
That lick about 10 mins in though... :)
I 2nd that human nature Please sir
Yes please!!!
tumpaka takapuka 😂
Hi Pete! Would you be so kind and recommend me your choice of a reverb and compressor for a pedal train mini? Thanks!
I would probably go TC HOF mini and and SP compressor!!
Thanks Pete, I really appreciate this !! Your cheerful approach and demeanor on your videos makes all of this so much more fun!! Thanks to you I already ordered the Lightspeed :) You have unique talent and contagious persona! Best regards!
The live version is better as it's faster. It swings more. It's amazing that MJ who couldn't read notes or play an instrument, made the first demo version all by voice and beat-boxing.
Yeah it’s awesome. But it’s to fast to jam over I thought. It’ll all gets sloppy.. For me anyway :-). Best. P
Peter Honoré That's true. It's too fast for jamming. Although Batten plays a great solo on it. Best from me as well (when is your record with Mick and Dan coming out 😉).
jared dines play a white one
cool man
Just curious, what settings on your light speed for this tone typically? I find it to be such a low gain pedal, with a Strat style guitar I need to crank the "drive" side up to almost full blast to get a decent "edge of break-up" tone. HELP PETE :) (this is paired with a super clean amp)
I can’t remember, there is a sweep of the pedal in the Video there you can see the settings. That’s how I use it most of the time... And I’ll get get break up style drive from that. I use the volume and the touch of the playing. If I use a harder pick and pick it harder I get more drive! So, play with dynamics! I find that’s the key. But keep your eyes peeled, something might come along soon that is just what you need :-)
aah, ok I missed that one sec where you showed the light speed. I pretty much use those settings on my les Paul, then have to really max it out for my Strat single coils just to get that juice SRV tone
zaqintosh it’s very light. I think a lot of guys use it to push their already driven, crunchy amp or just make their clean amp sound better by putting up the volume and actually lowering the gain. I have to keep fooling with mine depending on the amp etc.
The bandcamp links don't work for me, it cuts of the url at /albu
Ádám Sárkány new too
Links all sorted ... Thanks guys..
Dude! Funky as Fahhh... Fake bacon!

@Peter Honore Sir how long you been playing ? Were you self taught or did you attend school ? and last in this link (ruclips.net/video/fwekKrlizws/видео.html) is this your song if so is there tab ? or were you just free styling ?

Free guiter lesson from Leonardo de Caprio
Someone should sue Bruno
I will fight the 4 people who disliked this.
i love the look of the MusicMan guitar, except for the ugly ass headstock....
Where is the photo of "Him"?!?!?!?!?
Its not all about "him" :-)
Du burde tjekke den her ud:
ruclips.net/video/ery8k8m8_e4/видео.html
His time was fine until he started soloing. Then it sounded like he was making the cardinal sin that separates pros from non-pros; Being enamored of his own lead licks and not properly listening to the groove. And if anything, RUclips has shown us that lead playing is no longer impressive to anyone.
Because millions of people all over the world are EXTREMELY proficient at lead rock and blues soloing.
Groove is too strong
That sounds awful!! All u can hear is a load of pic clicking jumbled on top of more pic clicking! Rubbish!
