I find Peter the most interesting of this group. Everyone has questions and interviews with the others. Arthur and John were protagonists, and Sadie was a fan favorite. Micah is hated by everyone. Barely anyone really asked Peter anything. His character is so good and so overlooked because he's the bad guy
I think they went over the top with Micah's hatability. If they toned it back and maybe made Bill and Jav more hateable, Micah would have been a really great character. But as it stands, you have to have a disorder to even consider liking him. He's unabashedly racist from the first 5 minutes, antagonizes everybody, and does things like killing a little boy's dog for no reason. The plot shoehorns him into being the real bad guy, and a lot of the camp intrigue is swept aside, like the suspicious behavior of Abigail and her possibly conspiring with the law. The way RD1 plays out, and with Micah's free spirit attitude, I feel like Abigail being the rat thematically just works so much better than the jerk red herring who everyone already hates being The Villain™ Micah ends up being the Devil who orchestrated the gang's controlled demolition for seemingly no good reason, when the reality of the gang was that the leadership and their way of operating was falling by the wayside and nearly everyone had a part to play, especially Dutch. I will never see Dutch as a victim of Micah Wormtongue, he had too much autonomy. Micah could have been written as a nasty hateable outlaw without the need to demonize his entire character and ensure even a halfwit understood you're not supposed to like him. It's honestly lazy writing to scapegoat so much onto one character like that, especially when you had 2 perfectly good villains in Bill and Javier, plus the Abigail subplot. Bill and Javier didn't even really do anything to John and Arthur in the end, their choice was a no-brainer. R* could have written them out of the story and it wouldn't have mattered much All this to say really I love the idea of what Micah could have been, and Peter was done a little dirty

Well done portrayal of an irredeemable a hole is always something I appreciate.
@@boih0d0r70 Ty. You make good points as well. I feel a romanticism towards the true outlaw identity, and it feels like Micah is the writer's way of taking all the problematic values that made outlaws who they were and they molded it into something that is meant to be hated by the audience. Micah speaks logically, "why is our wanted outlaw camp an old folks home Dutch?" but it gets spun as him being irredeemable and sick instead of rational and a product of the time. Arthur on the other hand feels almost anachronistic in how not "with the times" he seems. There was legitimately more bigotry and hard fighting men in TLaD and BoGT than in West Elizabeth and I get that times have changed but it almost feels insulting at points to be led around narratively like that. My favorite scene in Red Dead Redemption 2 is the last scene with Arthur and John. Arthur and John are at the last hideout and are overrun by Pinkertons and they try to outrun em on horseback and Arthurs Horse is shot. Arthur walks up to his horse and gets the horse to calm down before it dies, Arthur simply says Thank you. @@someperson8649 Yes, I was also confused in the second chapter by the fact that at one point in camp he said “the lawyers won’t get me” or something like that. And quickly corrected “me” to "us" so I think Dutch has always been like in the end - he just hid it under the veil of his beautiful expressions, which took the topic of dialogue to distant lands. This technique is especially noticeable when they went to Angelo Bronte’s mansion and how Dutch dodged awkward questions, which, if you think of it, call the whole point of creating his gang into question
True but if it wasn't for Micah, Dutch wouldn't have gone THAT crazy. Micah was like a snake beside his ear all the time, encouraging him to do some fishy robberies, talking shit about other camp members. He was like that snake from the Bible talking to Adam.

WHY DOES ROGER GO TO SAY VAMPIRES BUT THEN IMMEDIATELY CHANGES WHAT HE HAS TO SAY AT 7:35
Very strange.
Maybe because there’s already a vampire
Sadie entered and never came back from 1900.

Arthur Morgan.. my god
The thing is tho Micah didn’t change Dutch it was the trolley station job that did that to him but most of it was on Micah but not all of it and love Peter Bloomquist he’s awesome 😂
Naw. Dutch exhibits signs of paranoid psychosis early on chapter 2 in camp if you spend enough time without doing story missions.
@@someperson8649 Yes, I was also confused in the second chapter by the fact that at one point in camp he said “the lawyers won’t get me” or something like that. And quickly corrected “me” to "us"
so I think Dutch has always been like in the end - he just hid it under the veil of his beautiful expressions, which took the topic of dialogue to distant lands. This technique is especially noticeable when they went to Angelo Bronte’s mansion and how Dutch dodged awkward questions, which, if you think of it, call the whole point of creating his gang into question
“you cant fight change” do u not understand this quote??
True but if it wasn't for Micah, Dutch wouldn't have gone THAT crazy. Micah was like a snake beside his ear all the time, encouraging him to do some fishy robberies, talking shit about other camp members. He was like that snake from the Bible talking to Adam.
@@someperson8649yeah I have explored the game and done everything I know like I said the trolley job did mess up Dutch
