TN played very well. Good athletic and talented team. Bothered Purdue constantly - made the Boilers work very hard for the win. Two very good teams with only a few possessions that determined the outcome. Great hotly contested game.
Most physical game I've ever watched. Refs were very bad at setting the tone early, and someone could've gotten hurt. Too physical. Refs were terrible on both ends.
I really feel if these two play again, TN would win. They are not the same team they were a month ago. They have gone through a gauntlet of a season already. And they are more together now.
Yeah and Purdue has been blowing out it’s competition in the tournament and are a much better team than here as well! You will find out tomorrow Boiler Up!!
Tennessee was scoring good points off second chance rebounds and Santiago was cold tonight from downtown he didn't play well tonight. Zach Edey was unstoppable tonight Tennessee couldn't stop him tonight once he got his feet set in the paint Edey was one of the Major factors and Purdue winning this game and Fletcher Loyer was a game leader tonight as well he was the leading scorer.🏀
wild take here but edey looks unstoppable, but a couple years ago when they played unc they won but bacot completely locked him up he did nothing. It would be crazy if UNC got revenge in the tournament, i think theyre the only team that can match up well with purdue

They literally think they're playing football on the court, the guard literally talked a guy two or three times..... and they wonder why they get called for fouls... hint stop fouling
Tennessee has got Purdue's number now. They basically have taken Edey out of his game, and the rest can't shoot today. Tennessee wins big by double digits.
@@alotafhindi7485 lol. Apparently you're correct, that's about all they were trained on. They not only embarrassed themselves, they put the players in danger of injury.
Purdue fans better enjoy this year because once edey leaves, they won’t have this kind of inside presence like they have had these last couple of years
Purdue has been a top 25 team on KenPom for the last 9 years (5 in a row before Edey), which is the second longest streak behind Gonzaga. I think they'll be fine.
Rematch in the Elite Eight! This time I hope that Tennessee wins.

It was a physical game, but the refs were so trigger happy 😂😂

another rematch in the elite eight

Purdue and edey play dirty. If they meet again tenn will win

Why cant TKR make free throws? Good job by Fletcher, he was awesome
Refs thought everyone showed up to see them.
Nice win!

Purdue is going to be a tough out
Been hearing that for years and they get bounced in the 1st round of the tournament every single year
@@fundamentalbear8347They have their entire team back, including the best player in the nation. This year might be different.

Jones shut down Knecht in the 2nd half...wonder if that stare down had anything to do with it?

He didn't exactly shut down Knecht in the second half

Tennessee is so dirty. Edey gets mugged constantly, then he gets called for looking at somebody. Purdue beat Tennessee and the refs!
said perfectly
That will happen every game. Edey is so big, he gets fouled every time down the court. Refs pick and choose when to call it.
They literally think they're playing football on the court, the guard literally talked a guy two or three times..... and they wonder why they get called for fouls... hint stop fouling
Not dirty, they are physical and Purdue is physical too. The refs were horrible all around. It wasn't one sided.
He's 7'4, if he's allowed to get the ball and just do what he wants, may as well just not play and give Purdue the win 😏
Who thinks Zach Edey is overrated?
no one really
This was a brawl!

Wow great game
Jones sat that dude down on that 3 lol
Tennessee has a lengthy starting five, there all tall ash
The tallest dude is a foot shorter than Edey, what are you talking about?
@lebski6033 their center is 7ft, so actually it's 4".... but I bet you tell that to all the girls...
@@Drizzle8481actually he’s 5” taller than Aidoo…on paper. Aidoo is not actually 6’11
We not gonna talk about the ball being clearly out of bounds off Purdue at (2:20), while the geriatric referee stares at it?
or Eady fouling Knecht at (2:44)

Purdue needed all the refs help to win this game…
Ok buddy 😂
Yea nah. 52 fouls and 78 free throws total. Refs ruined a game Purdue would’ve likely still won
Tennessee can't play defense without fouling. Don't blame that on the refs. You can't guard Edey without fouling so it's understandable.
This was a terrible game to watch

Purdue you have to hit your free throws,And at the end everybody in the he stadium knows your going to Zack , some one else move and shoot
