Thank you Nate for sharing the good times we had there. It is my grandparents home. I was there a few times a week. My grandparents made it my safe, happy place where we always knew we were loved. We would swing on the tree, have family reunions under the big tree. Grandpa taught me how to drive the riding larn mowers. My children and all my sibling and cousins children would have endless go cart rides, etc. For me, those years of memories will always be there. I ache for the community, the families involved, and all of us who have been affected under the world by the tragedy that took place there but for over 60 years this was a little piece of heaven. May it be that again one day in the future.

No kidding! Chad was such a loser and not a provider. Poor Tammy - Heather Daybell said Tammy did not like the home but they bought it anyway. Chad’s rationale of being a full time author was a scam and we all know that Tammy was the breadwinner. If it wasn’t for Chad’s laziness she would have been able to live in a nicer home.

@@COMamaBear That is so sad that Tammy was not getting paid well, especially since she was the one who went to work every day and gave it her all. I feel so badly for the family of the original owners who grew up here and have such fond memories. How devastating. You could also see how well kept the land and home were by the original owners as well. I loved hearing of the beautiful and fun memories the family and children shared. Having it be where the neighborhood kids came to play games and night games. How fun. I was wondering if the original family was able to request to take anything from the home for memories like the chandelier lighting.
The home when Chad viewed it seemed like it had been updated a bit. I don’t have the best memory but I didn’t recall the entry way before walking into the home. The home for me seemed much larger than seeing the pictures and visualizing it in my mind. It was a nice home. I’m grateful for the non-profit organization or couple who purchased this to tear down and make it a sanctuary with peace.

This is an award winning piece you have done here. It certainly gave us a better perspective of where it happened, and with your riveting reporting, how it happened. I am Canadian who follows you because of your intelligent and professional reporting on anything you do. As well, your wife filming this was also amazing. She stayed with you through it all and her camera never seemed to shake. I also loved how you called your camera person honey. We don’t hear that too often. Thank you, Jayne Gatherall.

I’ve been to this property. We came in April last year and brought daffodils to leave on the memorial fence across the street. There was still so much snow on the ground when we were there but what really stood out was the quiet. It was eerily quiet when we were there except for an occasional passing car. I’m so glad we were able to come visit the property. Tylee and JJ deserved so much more than what they were given. I’m grateful that this property will be turned into a place of memoriam.

My heart actually ached. Walking the property just made it all so REAL.
That freaking "cozy cone" , though...
Felt off & creepy. Esp when Nate showed us u could see both gravesites from that window.
The red barn felt threatening, I caught my breathe. There had to be a lot of evil vibes in there, for what happened to Tylee.

When I see this house I think of simple family events, the grandkids and Tammy probably playing together, the siblings coming over, the mundane activities like getting ready for work in the morning in the bathroom and her probably excited to go to a job she loved. And then one day someone takes all that joy away for nothing. The simple things, just living a life, not knowing evil was living inside. And then dead kids in the yard. It still makes me cry. Can’t wait to see what new life will be given to this property ❤

It will be a long time before the shock and horror gradually fades. It’s good that the buildings will be taken down and time will slowly allow happiness to return to that land. Take care. I grieve also, for Tammy, who mothered and raised 5 children in that house, and who was failed so tragically by her husband. The house does need to be demolished and the land blessed. Rest peacefully, Tammy, JJ, and Tylee.

This house isn’t their original family home they lived in another state. . Chad said the area where they were living originally, was going to be demolished by an earthquake so he moved everyone to Rexburg Idaho which was where the 144k were supposed to to gather with Chad and Lori, the two gods, leading them. Tammy didn’t want to move but Chad insisted. I think that was about 2015 not sure. So they were fairly new to the area.
This whole crazy tragic story is so complicated it’s hard to keep up at times. 🦘

Nate & Erica, wow this is SUCH a great thing to do to end the horrific, evil Daybell’s story & begin a new beautiful, loving story.❤ Thank you to the original owner’s family for letting us know this home was full of Love & happiness & many wonderful memories. I’m so very glad the new owners are tearing it down & even tho the land is the same land, it has THE MOST gorgeous hundreds of year old trees that I’m sure many kids have climbed, birds have nested, so much! My hope is a new beautiful home will sit & be filled with love & playing kids, many future blessings & wonderful memories again. We don’t remember where JJ & Tylee were left, we remember them in their lives, Tammy & Charles too. They are in heaven, in the love & beauty of our Lord & are always remembered for who they were. Blessings to the new owners. Take care Nate & Erica, see you soon! 🙏❤️🤗✝️. I’m near Sacramento, California. That land looks like cattle land, hence the sign of caring for calves,,,The house & side structures are 64 yrs old, since built the year I was born, 1960! So lots more years of love & happiness 🙏❤️, then the few years of evil & horrible Chad.

Hi Nate - I just wanted to let you know that no it didn’t come off as voyeuristic.
It’s a mellow video segment from beginning to end that you presented in a classy low key kind of way as opposed to any fanfare or “Top Story” type of way which I know isn’t your style for anything as heartbreaking and tragic as this entire story.
Hey, you’re a news man and the public wants news.
Not in a morbid or disrespectful way of course, it’s just human nature to be curious and, for me, living in Huntington Beach California within the Los Angeles perimeter, I don’t see open land and large properties with side gates anywhere very often so that combined with the fact that I’ve been following the case since the start when I remember you walking with Chad and Lori in Hawaii just flat out asking “Where’s the kids?” led to me viewing a lot of RUclips content and everywhere else that information about the case could be found.
You’ve done a great job since day 1 and this segment is no exception. Done with the level of professionalism and skill that you’re well known for.
I can tell you that yeah I was interested in seeing the inside of the house as well as the back yard and you pointed to where the fire ring was and back towards where JJ was found.
Idaho News is one of my most watched RUclips channel subscriptions.
And Erica did a great job as well !

I have followed this case since 2019. The name of the new property owner was revealed on a podcast where she shared a screenshot of the Non-Profit License which appeared to be from a public record. Every time I hear Tammy's voice, my heart aches. Her voice is so gentle and sweet. She absolutely did not deserve this; she deserved so much better than Chad.
Regarding Emma and her husband, who would want to live in a house where innocent children lost their lives? I get why Chad's lawyer had him sign it over (as that was his payment). After the trial, he knew someone would eventually buy it, ensuring he got his money.
Thank you Nate for doing this. I have seen the pictures when it went up for sale but actually being there ... I couldn't imagine.
