  • THANKS FOR WATCHING!
This is how I did my crochet butterfly locs on my relaxed hair. The key to preventing breakage is to properly prep the hair with lots of moisture. I deep conditioned with the by L. Jones Creamy Custard Reconstructive Treatment and used the Vanilla Milk Leave-In Conditioner.
Also, I used 3 packs of the 12-inch hair and 2 packs of the 8-inch hair in order to get the bob look.

    So Toya,
I have been watching you for a couple years now. And I love everything that you advise. When I first learned about relax your stretching, I thought you were crazy not to go past 6 weeks and then I almost had a heart attack when I found out 16 weeks is the mark! Lol But slowly I just took it a week later every time. Now I'm up to 12... For some reason 12 is my limit for now, but I will get there!
Anyway I pay close attention to your videos, especially about heat because I used heat on my hair everyday! I very very gradually made it to only once a week..... Honestly that was even tougher than stretching the relaxer out because I just didn't know to do with my hair without using the flat iron everyday! Again gradually, I made it to where I only do it when I shampoo my hair, and it's only once a week! And I don't even think about it anymore it's so easy
Then I made sure I deep conditioned every single week. Now it's like cake!
You've been a real inspiration to me the last couple years and my hair is thriving! Of course you know I've been using your products! I don't even know how long now 😀
You've taught me a lot of "firsts" with my hair....
Now, for the first time ever, I got my relaxer, and when I washed it the first week, I did not put ANY heat to my hair. I did not use a flat iron! I used the whipped honey foam wrap, curled it up, and took it out the next day .... I was terrified because I didn't know the "non-sleek" look 😏 But it's awesome! I can handle it! I actually have not had heat on my hair for almost 2 weeks now! It seems small, but I know it's so important to my hair and I'm all about my hair.
I just wanted to thank you and let you know the positive effect you have on me 💜
And my hair thanks you too! 😉
    We listenin' to you girl!
And of course you did a fabulous job on your hair!

Same. I’m listening and purchased your book today. I’m 53 yrs old and been relaxed since 11th grade. My hair is my number one complaint. I never had the protein down pack but now honey. I’m good. I’ve always have done my own hair except short hair styles. I perm color and trim myself. I love following someone that has a long journey of healthy relaxed hair. 🙏🏾
