I’m not expecting most of you to know but I’m just recently started to get into Pokémon so most of the pokemons I’ve seen in the video I didn’t know were starters!
Just so you know, the reason why Pikachu did so well (and was even in this battle in the first place) is because it’s specifically the Partner Pikachu of the “Let’s Go Pikachu” game
The context behind that ending scene is the final impetus of the Mega Battle Royale video. In that video, Mega Mawile, Mega Banette, and the Baby “Mega” Kangaskhan were eliminated by Mega Gengar by throwing them into portals that lead to who knows where. At the end of that video, we see that they were originally thrown into the Gigantamax Battle Royal video. They then escape via Gigantamax Gengar, and you then see at the end of that video that they figure out that they’ve been stuck inside a simulation. At the end of the Ultra Beast Battle Royale, we see the trio traversing the machine in which I can only assume that they’re trying to find their way home, but Sudowoodo caught them in the act, and was trying to guess the password to access the machine for some unknown purpose (in the video, the Sudowoodo seemed freaked out by the trio just traversing the machine), but fails to. The end of the Starter Battle Royale sees the continuation of this plot, with Sudowoodo figuring out the password into the machine, and “kidnaps” the trio by putting them into thier own separate Pokeballs. Where this’ll now go is up in the air.
To be fair as much as I love swampert they do say in the explanation vids that they look at every aspect of Pokémon. As far as I know it’s never really done much in the card game and it’s not the most competitively viable (at least compared to some others) I do also say that it fighting in a free for all like this where 1/3 of the Pokémon are 4x effective is ruff for it. In my opinion the one that was done the dirtiest especially with how well let’s go Starter pikachu did is let’s go eevee. That eevee has access to some of the widest coverage and most broken moves in the game and has the same friendship mechanic as pikachu. Heck instead of rillaboom the could have just had eevee beat swampert as it learns a super strong grass move. Though this just my opinion. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this! If not no worries my fellow swamp enjoyer!
Now that we have no megas, and Protean/Libero being nerfed, Blaziken is single handedly the best starter out there in terms of competitive use with Speed Boost.
@@SuperHeroStoriesUnlimited Not through level up which is something they look at. Many of the fire types and eevee also learn grass type move if we look at non level up moves. Like I said I do love swampert but odds are low that none of the grass types hit it. It’s also never been higher than ou and never been super present in the card game or anime which they do look at.

Or he’s just helping them escape
my baby boy banette is getting all the attention he deserves i love it
That's just a Throat Chop, a Dark move that disables sound-based attacks.
“DOOCIEDYE” IS CRAZZZY 😭💀
And let’s go eevee but can’t evolve.
Pokemon Yellow has Eevee as your rival's starter as you start off with Pikachu.
How do you not know some of these are starters when they're literally the other options?
I’m new to Pokémon so it was a surprise to see how some of the Pokémons I’ve seen were starters.
2:03 in some lesser known side Pokémon games, you can get eeveelutions as starters, not yellow or lets go as the eevee from those games can’t evolve.
My good sir. My brother in Christ. They made hitting someone in the throat a Pokemon move! *And it's viable!*
Pokemon Conquest has Eevee as a starter, you should watch the explanation video by Lockstin & Gnoggin to help
You mean Pokémon colosseum
@@Magic_Ice AND Pokemon Conquest. XD has Espeon and Umbreon starters
