A public service announcement from the lung association encouraging people to use public transportation. This is a 60 second TV ad transferred from 16mm in high definition.

Wish somebody could find an air pollution PSA I saw in the (early?) '70s. No idea whether it was American Lung Association, Ad Council or something else. Two guards escort a prisoner through some dystopian corridors, a criminal about to face his punishment. They finally push him through a door to outside, where the air is so polluted that he desperately tries to hold his breath, to no avail.

This is one way that people survived the 1970s energy crisis. They took mass-transit, carpooled, walked, and biked. And they got rid of their big gas-guzzling vehicles, and switched to fuel-efficient compact cars.
Those old methods will get us through the current fuel crisis.
