He's just like a mushroom, in the sense that he's difficult to understand but very cool to watch. He is also very delicious on a pizza. (Just kidding! I don't eat mushrooms.)

Same. Over 100 pulls hoping for just one Desert Flannel and got Ezra at around 30 on a guarantee. I was upset at first but I’m now seeing he might be pretty good with some of my most anticipated characters like Lucy and Vampire girl Samm.
Comparing it to Newbabel is a really bad comparison. Literally the only thing they have in common is shields. So... he's also a better Tennant with that kinda logic....which I would argue is a better comparison because Tennant actually debuffs as well. First, let's just say it, shields are useless so using the term "Preservation" unit is definitely a choice. Ezra's shield (or anyone's shields for that matter) don't matter in the long run. The mushroom he gets from it does matter though. Babel is a counter DPS. Ezra is pure support. When she can lock she can deal more damage than Ezra per turn (5-6k per counter 3 to 4 times depending for around 15 to 25 k depending how many attacks are dealt. Second, Ezra's main role is a buffer/debuffer. He has 1 attack that does sub par damage but vastly augments Crit party specifically. Newbabel is Newbabel and Ezra is Ezra. Comparing him to her because "sHiElD" is a disservice as he's an incredible support and she's a badly designed clunky to use character.
Ezra DOES NOT replace necrologist, and if you are F2P he is a hard skip. As i've mentioned in the video, He's mostly used for "genesis damage" aka Hydra. and strong boost for BURST, which is mostly relevent for the whale's who's trying to do multi million damage.
Wait so at 5:45 when you say the blue mushrooms burst on turn 3, that means at the beginning of turn 4 right? Since in the 2 eureka rotation the second blue mushroom bursts at the beginning of turn 5, and the 4 eureka rotation reduces it by 1 turn.
Yes, end of turn 3 it burst, and on turn 4 you can enjoy the effect. It's importent to be specific because Jiuniangzi's channel skill's actual attack is cast at the BEGINNING OF NEXT TURN (not they they are good together or anything lol)

Lilya is still good unit to pair with Ezra. Since Ezra offers crit damage bonus, not crit rate% so the damage won't cap at a certain amount.
Yeah their pair alright. One issue with lilya is that her follow up also consumes a stack
