The ICE 3 is a high-speed train of the Deutsche Bahn. ICE means "Inter City Express" and so the train connects the biggest cities in Germany with a maximum speed of 330 km/h. Destinations in France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland can also be reached with the ICE 3. The train offers 441 seats, distributed among eight carriages. At "only" 200 meters, the ICE 3 is significantly shorter than its predecessor ICE 1 (358 meters). Production of the ICE 3 was discontinued in 2004, the latest generation of high-speed trains in Germany is the ICE 4.
