You said what subways to take but what about cars .. I'm traveling from another state .. is there a place to park your car for the day if your taking the fairy to the islands??
I went to Ellis island and quickly found my family that I knew from my family tree I made . Took a ton of pics of course as a tourist ..I was a chaperone for my daughters girl scout troup based out of a suburb north of Detroit .I paid for my other 2 children to tag along so I had alot going on...anyways long story short .lol On the plane ride home ; my phone did a factory reset or blip whatever without my knowledge . And I LOST all 2000 pics I had on my camera and gallery. My phone was checked even by the pros and no one could retrieve my photos. Heartbroken still as I doubt I will get on another 37 seat plane from Detroit to New York ever again. Still heartbroken. Lost all my pucs of Ellis Island which was the worse and my photod from visiting 9/11 first museum ..!!!!!@##$@#=×@#$

I was there last August! I almost wanted to cry seeing the statue in person after growing up seeing it in paintings, photos, movies, TV, etc.
