I absolutely love the book The Girl Who Could Fly, it is YA and I know you like to read more literature based books but it is so nostalgic, I have read it 6 times and the plot twists never get old!
i couldn't get into milkman either! it felt like it was constantly exerting this depressing energy on me without ever really offering insights or intimacy-gross! i'm sure you know about sally rooney, who's also depressing and irish (though not northern), though i think does offer some insights and intimacy-but forget the summer blues, go have fun in the sun in italy in that gorgeous swimwear! when you revealed the backless one piece i'm too shy to say my jaw dropped, but it certainly loosened significantly!✨
I would recommend To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf! I typically read older classics, which can be hard to get into, but her books are generally short and good. Also, Mrs. Dalloway is a good one and A Room of one's own ( all essays )
such a vibe! 🤍
