    The only problem with me is, we don't have any flat irons at my house, because everyone in my house except for me, and my little sister, have really shorthair. And me and my sister don't really straighten our hair, are usually like to keep mine either in braids, or in a short bob style. My sister keeps hers in long hairstyles.

    • @BlackDragoonRose
      @BlackDragoonRose 7 лет назад +4

      I also have super short hair but I was able to find a Revlon hair straightener at a local supermarket for $17. My husband gave me a look but I just said it's for my dolls silly!

    • @boedabeeldje1573
      @boedabeeldje1573 7 лет назад +3

      i used a iron on the low synthetic setting and went over it and than turned it and went again and it worked fine for me

    • @BlackDragoonRose
      @BlackDragoonRose 7 лет назад +3

      Oh yes, I was doing that at first too, it works pretty well! I decided to get the straightener though because I did get a slightly silkier weft and I don't have a permanent set-up for my clothing iron and so it's faster to pull out the straightener.

    • @pratyushamondal4017
      @pratyushamondal4017 7 лет назад +1

      ironing in a low temp is a good idea...though i use hair straightener but iron works almost the same...:)

    • @Pp.lolita.dollie
      @Pp.lolita.dollie 7 лет назад +1

      Lisa Den Bode , I'm just afraid that it might burn the weft.

  • @Z3ph1us
    @Z3ph1us 5 лет назад

    another way i have discovered with washable markers is to get a weft, put washable marker in it (dont shake or iron), let it dry and then iron or if you boil wash it straight (i dont have privileges to an iron or hair straightener) boil wash it before adding the marker or boil wash the weft with marker on.. i used this for my first doll wig

  • @facsatella

    This is a great tutorial! I'd been wondering about other ways of doing ombre style hair, aside from my usual way of using multicolored yarns cut where the two colors start/end. So I'm really glad to see that it can be done with chalk...and without having it wash out! :D
    It hasn't left any stains or anything on your dolls even after doing the wash test, has it??
    Also! Those kitty ears are adorable~ ^-^ Have you tried making other shapes like stars yet? Or making add-on hair parts? o.o I'd like to make a wig with star shaped buns that's done with similar steps that your ponytails wig has...but I'm unsure if I should start with a star cutout out of cardstock paper and wrap the hair around it, or if I should just try to freehand the little buns. Any suggestions?

    wowww.....learning from your yarn weft vid i made a black bob cut wig.....i gave the bob cut myself and it really turned out well😊...then i was just thinking if i could colour her hair like this but didn't know how....for alpaca fibre hair people use normal hair colour which i couldn't get....i'm gonna make a long hair wig now and use this colouring method....thank you so much for this video....🐼🐼
