Welcome to our beautiful city! I hope you're enjoying your stay. It's travellers like yourselves that makes us locals realise how lucky we are. We always complain, about this, that and everything else about our home town. It's only when we get your outside perspective to remind us of how lucky we are to live here. So thank you, and enjoy everything we have to offer.
I am very glad you did the tour. So many people go to the steps at the back of the Opera House and think they have seen the Opera house. They don’t even walk around to the front, which is where the building was designed to be seen.
Even better is to get the ferry across to Beulah St Wharf at Kirribilli. Great views as you cross the Harbour, then a short walk for a coffee. From there you can walk back across the Bridge or get the train.
Thanks for this tour😊 . You know! I'm an eighth generation Aussie and I haven't had the pleasure of visiting our beautiful Opera House. So, cheers for sharing💐🌏🪐🌕🙏🍀🌸🌈🌷🐝🌹🦋🐦🦉🏡🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
The seal you saw at the northern VIP steps of the Opera House, otherwise unoccupied for the majority of the year, is the favourite sunbathing spot of a wild long-nosed fur seal, affectionately called 'Benny' (named after Bennelong Point). He's now world famous and has been there since 2014 sunbathing himself.
Accessing the Harbour Bridge is easier on the south side of the bridge, not the north side. Quay is pronounced 'Key'... Great vlog! and the 'island' you talk about is the "REST" of Australia...and yes it is and island! 🤣🤣🤣
You are now in the Southern Hemisphere. Our seasons here are the reverse of the Northern Hemisphere. April is Autumn in Sydney, NOT spring. We have just gone through Summer.
Such a pity you didnt get blue skies and sunshine but at least it wasn't pouring rain. Its confusing in a strange place. Painful watching you take wrong turns. I'm the same overseas too 😅.... a bit of googling would help... Arizona ! Hubby and I were there once - what a gorgeous place. Loved the beautiful landscape...Loved Sedona...bought churros from a street vendor...yum, loved them too ! Hope you had a great time here😊 Best wishes to you. Hope the stomach bug goes soon !
The reason you scan different cards is there are random spot checks to make sure people have paid. They have a scanner which checks the card to make sure the card has tapped on, it doesn’t check the amount that has been paid. So each person must have their own card.
Loved the scenery and I do hope that you will find out how to pronounce English words like Quay. It’s pronounced kee! Don’t stop travelling and showing the wonderful places.
The ferries at Circulay quay (Key) are public transport they are part of our extensive Public transport system you should have bought a travel guide with you.
It's not called Fish & Fries. Chips!🤣 I'm assuming your guide is telling you about the acoustics in the Opera House? Every opera house says theirs is the best.😁 Country 8 is New Zealand! We just got back from Malaysia and it was so cheap. We go there a lot to escape the NorCal cold in the winter...yes, I am a wimp. SF is too cold in the winter.🤪 Got home a month later and it's still cold. Now it's turning into allergy season so I'll have to go somewhere else next month.
Sydney is expensive compared the rest of the cities. Minimum wages are twice the US throughout the country ( US15 an hour on weekdays,$23 on Saturday and $US30 on Sundays. One reason why food is expensive, others are real estate prices. Professional opportunities are much better and so many want to live there, it’s all about demand. (A lot) and supply (not enough). Northern beach suburbs average $US3M. That’s north Sydney (that island that’s not). You can’t expect to pay $1 or $2 to cross a bridge on a higher level. You’re comparing a 3rd world country to a developed one just like your own. $US 15 isn’t much compared to $US200 to climb it) You have the benefit of a much larger population too. Remember your exchange rate is excellent. There’s plenty of free places like the Botanic Gardens. In the UK there’s a charge of $US40 to see their main London gardens. Best that you plan a bit better next time. Know must be hard though when not feeling well. Hope you’re better now.
Australia doesn't have mountains. The Blue Mountains are hilly ranges and valleys covered in gum trees. But it's certainly NOT where you'd want to get lost. Quay is pronounced "kee".
The Blue Mountains are not particularly “mountainous” but rather are in the form of a gently sloping plateau rising to the west (away from Sydney) but they are dissected by deep valleys with in most cases lined by sheer, vertical sandstone cliffs. Early European explorers tried to gain access to the interior of the country by following the valleys but were unable to proceed beyond the cliffs. From the start of the settlement of Sydney in 1788 until 1813, when explorers Blaxland, Wentworth and Lawson followed an old aboriginal walking trails up the ridge lines and successfully crossed the mountains, the Blue Mountains had formed an impenetrable barrier for 25 years.
Your comment is not related to the video and is certainly totally unrelated to Australia. However, many Aussie would tell yoy where to shove your pro trump comment. We do not take lies and crap from politicians and certainly do not idolise them. You may join a cult but we expect our politicians to work for the betterment of the people and the country, not someone who is only self interested.Keep out of our way!
North Sydney is a mighty big island 🤗
Really enjoying your vlogs. 💯
What was I thinking? LOL

Thank you! 😃 We had a great time.
Nice walk tour
Thank you very much!
End of winter? No it’s the beginning of our Autumn. It’s the end of winter in the Northern Hemisphere. You’re in the Southern Hemisphere now.
Sorry for the confusion but this was filmed in late August.
Just a word of advice. We Aussies are fairly easy going so if you ask someone for directions they will help if they can or get you someone who can.
Thanks for the tip.
"That island..." LOL.
Yep...connecting to the Northshore and the 'REST' of Australia is an island !!! that is so funny!
WELCOME to our little paradise cousins. lovely to see you.. please ENJOY AND TAKE CARE.
It was lovely.

So true. The tour was great.

Glad you enjoyed it. We certainly did.

Glad he is a celebrity.

Cool, thanks

You should ask people around you how to get to things. Everybody would be more than happy to help you out.
Thanks, will try to remember that.
That bird is an IBIS. Been nicknamed a "Bin Chicken" because they pick food out of the trash cans (bin).
Thanks for the info.

Yes, Sedona is very beautiful.

Good to know.

Thanks. Heading to New Zealand next.
Winter starts in June and ends at the end of August😉
Yeah we kinda knew it was at the end of the winter season, but just always think of Australia as being warm.
The ferries at Circulay quay (Key) are public transport they are part of our extensive Public transport system you should have bought a travel guide with you.
Thanks for commenting. It was a great ride.

Yes we loved Malaysia, especially Kuala Lumpur for that fact. Had a lot of sticker shock in Australia.
I've never heard the North Shore referred to as an island. i.e. everything north of the harbour.

We did have a little sticker shock on some things. But it was the price we were willing to pay to have some cooler weather to enjoy.
Looking for french fries on the menu. That stumped ya didn't it. 😂
Yep, for a little while.

Thank you for the history of it. It was so foggy that day we couldn’t tell about the hills.
Yes Australia does have mountains.....Mt kosciuszko says hold my beer!
😂
AUSTRALIA is relatively flat to World 🌎 standards !!
North Sydney is not an Island and it doesn’t have a small population. You need to look at a map.
Use Google Maps or Apple Maps, for goodness sake.
Settle down
@@DeepThought9999🤔
cross the bridge to the island of north sydney..lol
Quay is pronounced Key
"Quay" is pronounced Key - odd, but that's how it is.
