I took a 20% warm grey pencil and colored the areas that I wanted to make black so that I didn't get lost while coloring. It helped to be able to see where the lines were coming from or going to.
I am really liking the lovely glow around the little bat. Wow, the glitter gel pen you used created a lovely lace effect on the wings - I really love that - but that's a whole lot of tiny details - but your end result if beautiful! Can't wait for the next part and thanks for sharing!
Thank you for this amazing tutorial! It is going to be very helpfull when I will reveive the ink blending tool I ordered a few weeks ago. The shop didn't mention it wasn't in stock so I thought I could start the next day or so but instead I am waiting for over 2 weeks now..... and I can't wait to give this a try!!! :-D
Great video!!! Thanks!!! I'm gonna have to practice a lot before I get smooth covering 😊 will practice in my Travel journal before I will be brave enough to go to colouring pages!!!😁 Thank you! 🌹🌹🌹 💋💋💋
I also just bought the distress ink and was having a lot of trouble not making circles. I had much better luck with a cheap wedge makeup sponge. My question is how many of individual inks do you own and what colors are most useful. Do you prefer the mini or the regular size pads? Do you use any other brands?
I own a lot of inks, I am also make cards and journals. For use in my coloring books I tend to use browns (gathered twigs, walnut stain and vintage photo) greens/yellows (peeled paint, squeezed lemonade) oranges (spiced marmalade) blues ( stormy sky, tumbled glass, broken china and peacock feathers) purple (dusty concord) black soot for black. I don't mind the size of the pads, they work the same... I do have other brands like versafine, archival ink and lawn fawn brands but because they are pigment inks they would bleed right through the pages, so I use them for cards and journals. Chalk ink I use in my planner but have not tried in color books... hope that answers your question if not let me know. Thanks for watching ~
Distress inks are made to blend easy on paper, but I have used other inks such as Memento and Chalk inks you just have to practice before putting in ink down on your coloring book page, they all work differently. I love using the distress inks because they are so forgiving and if you make a boo boo, you can always sprinkle water on top, let sit for 10 sec and dab it up with a paper towel and poof you get a cool effect. I have never tried stazon inks sorry ~ TFW
Thank you for showing your coloring process! I always learn great new techniques!!

I have a bunch of ink pads-- not the type you're using. Is water solubility the key to achieving that wash effect? (I looked-- they're 'stazon'.)

very zen
Can you please tell me how you film your colouring in using your camera? Can I do this with my phone?
I film my videos with my Iphone, I use a swing arm mic stand with a car phone holder adaptor attached to it. Hope that helps.
ZucchiniKitty thank you so much.
