Three more rings, three more Finals MVPs, three more scoring titles and two more regular season MVPs. The GOAT.

    • @omnivorous65

      No. Don't say that. It demonstrated the insane skill level of Jordan. He was no longer the best athlete on the court but he was fu**ing crafty. And the eroded athletic ability of a forty year old man really accentuated that. That is the legacy of the year he played for the Wizards.

    • @BXGUY73
      @BXGUY73 4 года назад +2

      LMAO! I agree, but M. Jordan should have just stayed with Chicago for 3 more years after 1998 season (he could have played that much longer). All of his retiring and coming back was frustrating (yeah he did it for personal reasons but that is why there is a long OFF SEASON), and playing for the Wizards was total nonsense.

      His Wizards time was actually remarkable. It's just looked upon badly because he set the bar so damn high by himself that when he "failed" to perform at the same level, some have just ignored that time entirely. I mean he was between 38-40. What 40 year old has ever scored 50+ points?

    Being from England I was never into basketball as like most English guys I was crazy about football (soccer). But during the 90s they started showing NBA games in England and like the rest of the world I was fascinated and amazed by MJ and the Bulls at how good they were.
    Although the Bulls were a great team, but just like e Ali, Jordan transcended the sport and took basketball all over the world.
    I did missionary work in poor countries in Eastern Europe just after communism had fallen and was surprised that all the kids were crazy about Jordan and NBA and playing basketball everywhere.
    Since then I've been hooked on basketball as are my kids many years later. And though I still love football (soccer) but I think basketball is definitely more exciting.

    The Chicago Bulls are DEFINITELY a Dynasty built by Jordan. The Chicago BULLS RULED THE NINETIES. I'm guessing that if Jordan never retired in 1993 The Bulls would probably have 8 Championships. 91,92,93,94,95,96,97 and 98. It's a shame that The Bulls DYNASTY broke up by 1999. Jordan and Pippen still had a lot of game left in them. The Chicago Bulls and the rest of The NBA are STILL RIDING THE JORDAN WAVE well into 2019. People are STILL talking about Jordan. People are still comparing new SUPERSTAR players to Jordan. People are STILL buying Michael Jordan merchandise, especially his famous AIR JORDAN NIKE'S! People are still watching Jordan's most amazing games on RUclips, talking about him and wishing he was still in The NBA. It is hard to explain someone like Michael Jordan. A person like him comes along just once and we will never see anything like him again, ever. I think the closest we have ever seen to Jordan so far has been Kobe Bryant.

      Kobe or Jordan?... LeBron or Jordan?... Who ever is next or Jordan?... The one after that or Jordan,...next one or Jordan?...
      He will be hard to surpass unless the league rules are indiscreetly catered to building a dynasty around a very talented player...Even more so than Lebron or the Warriors.

    The kids today, who never saw Jordan play, will never understand. They talk about LeBron, Kobe, etc. but fail to realize that without MJ, there would be no Kobe or LeBron. Michael changed they way people played basketball. He also had a profound effect on our entire coulture in this country; baggy shorts, Nike, the entire sneaker business in general. Just think, it's been 19 or so years since he retired as a Wizard and people still camp out in front of stores when a new Air Jordan is released. Do you think in 20 years people will be lining up to buy the LeBron's..??? Absolutely not. MJ is basketball, MJ is the reason the entire sports industry is what it is in the country, and pretty much the entire world. His legacy is profound, untouchable and forever. You couldn't make this guy in a lab, he's one of a kind and we should all be greatful that we were able to see him play. Those days, that entire era in the NBA was the Pinnacle in my book.

    I am from Europe. And because of the Bulls and Michael Jordan i became a fan. Those games were played at 02.00 / 03.00 at night in my timezone. I watched them all. I was cheering in the middle of nights when Jordan did "it" again. When Rodman just dominated the boards again and again. When Kerr shot that important 3 pointers, When Pippen defended at such a level it became art. No sleep, neighbours came up to me the following day wondering what all that cheering was in the middle of the night. I was lucky. Lucky enough that a tv channel in my country just started to broadcasts nba when those Bulls teams were starting to form. It was new, exciting and fresh. I will never forget my passion for it then. That passion has long died. I was young back then. LeBron is not new and fresh although a beast of a player and i hate the 3 point domination these days. Curry does not make me cheer. Basketball has changed. I feel that romance is gone. But Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Ewing, Bird, Magic, Malone, Miller, Stockton, Iverson, Barkley...and so on...those days and characters are gone. It changed. Not for the better.
    Thanks Chicago!

      @Eddy Valenica he struggled against the rockets during the 1st 3-peat (1-5 vs Houston 1991-1993) but gained the upper hand on them during the 2nd 3-peat (5-1 vs Houston 1996-1998). 1994-1995 represented somewhat of a crossroads in the head to head series as the bulls and rockets split the 2 regular season games in both of those seasons. It's too bad the bulls and rockets never actually got to play each other in a finals series during that whole era so all these "what if" questions could've been answered. Chicago vs Houston likely would've been a very tight and competitive series either way but I just can't pick against MJ and think he would've lost a finals series had the first retirement never happened. The guy just had an unreal will to win and killer instinct once the championship was on the line.

    It truly was an honor & privilege to watch MJ & Scottie & Rodman & the rest of the Chicago Bulls team play during their 2 three peats that they accomplished together during the 90's. I mean 6 NBA titles in a 8 year span was just JAW DROPPING. When they executed the Triangle offense with perfection I truly believed they were unbeatable. They played in an ERA where it was truly a PHYSICAL GAME & it wore you down if you couldnt handle the pressure or execute your offense during these battles that they had to endure when they stepped onto the court night after night week after week. It's not like the NBA today where you can't even press your elbow/forearm into your opponents back while on defense without it being a foul.... No... Back then you had to WORK, FIGHT, CLAW your way to the basketball especially when the Detroit Pistons came to town. That's why I will always love what Chicago accomplished during their DYNASTY because they beat the BEST TEAM every year ..& WAGED WAR to get to the Finals & WIN it all with their team play & skill & with Jordan leading the way.. Some of the greatest basketball ever played hands down had to be during the Career of Michael Jordan. He single handedly made the NBA better than it had ever been in the History of the league & the only one who ever came close to mirror that Legacy & garnish the respect & popularity that MJ had was the Late Kobe Bryant. They will forever be significant in the game of Basketball no matter how many years & decades pass. One thing is for sure... we will never see levels of Basketball with that much physical contact & all out battles where the players go hard every minute for every point because MJ refused to lose & be denied for his quest for Greatness. THOSE WERE THE DAYS!!!!
