Great reviews. I have the Atomics S9 and love them but I have pretty normal (not wide) feet. I have modified the World Cup version a bit for roller skiing. I tape the sides to prevent damage mostly.

Made comment yesterday that the choices are less then 25 years ago I recollect that Japan , Heir!ing, Karhu Sportful and Adidas were SNS licensee that quit. This contraction was one of the reason why Salomon did the Prolink sole. There might have been more in Europe that were not imported to North America. Oddly enough the only part of XC skiing that didn't contract was the number of roller ski brands. A blog I found showed about 65 active brands.

Ah I see!! Yes! I understand what you meant now! I hope my video can help narrow down some choices for people with the common brands that remain! 🙏 And I'll have to check out all those roller ski companies, as I only have experience with a few myself!

Good review, Rn I am skating in roossignol xium wc and they are pretty solid. Also using them for roller skiing and I already have small holes on sides😢 ( even tho I put tape on them)
Anyways I just bought classic alpina pro boots and Im very excited to try them, hope they will be better than my older rossis

Hello Elias!! Thank you so much for sharing this!! Yes! I was just skiing with my teammate who's sole fell off his classic roller ski boots! Thanks for letting us know!! And If you ever think of it, I would super appreciate it if you came back to let us know how the alpine boots treat you! Please let us know if they're good or bad!! Thank you ! Happy skiing!

Are you interested in trying the Madshus Skate X system. The old Madshus boots are by far my favorites for comfort (prior to the Redline). Fischer Speedmax seem to me to have a better "race feel"; make me want to ski faster.

YES!! Thank you so much for asking that!! I am so interested to try the Madshus Skate X system!! Hopefully I can try to find a way this early season!
Yes! I probably have the most miles in y life so far in Madshus boots! I found them to be the most comfortable as well some years back!!
I totally agree! the speed max, especially up hill, make my feet feel light and fast!!
Do you know of any way to try those new Madshus boots??

Thank you very much!! Great question! Sorry of the maybe disappointing answer ha! I love the old school, pen paper, word doc, and Excel spread sheet! I just love a simple layout! It helps me plan and design, then easily change and tweak as needed as training load needs to be adjusted or weather effects plans etc. If you have any recommendations that help you plan and keep it simple I'd love to hear! Thank you!

I"m doing the same thing, putting my training on paper, for a follow-up, doing the job.

I have a wide foot. You mentioned Salomon as having wide widths. What model do you recommend? Thanks
