  • Hello, I'm Lance (aka Bundy Bear), and doing these videos is my hobby. I do own Queensland Tractor Spares in Australia where I sell parts and offer technical advice to customers.
Parts seen in our videos can be purchased from www.queenslandt...
We have a lot more than we can offer on our web site available to us and in our store. If you don't see what you would like please email info@queenslandtractorspares.com.au or call 1300 850 097 and we will help where we can.
I do try and help with technical advice at bundybearsshed@gmail.com if you have a question or are having trouble with your project.

Lance you must have a great memory as to where all the parts go that you take off when dismantling a tractor.

When I turn the steering wheel to the left the shaft rises all the way up and when I turn right it screws back in, the pitman arm does not move until I have reached the end of travel. Would this be the pitman arm plunger has slipped of the worm screw? Mine 65 is not power assisted steering.

I think so by the sound of it. You need to strip it and see I would think.

How did the steering feel before you dismantled it, was it heavy?
My 65 steering is extremely heavy to turn and I'm wondering what the cause is?
Great video, thanks for all your help.

Not at all, it has some slop but that was in the front pivot.

some of the 65's are a little differant but when i did mine i found the valve in the front was not opening all the way due to worn bushing and also the little adjustment rod thing in the front of tractor just before the valve needed replaced, pretty cheap part. good luck

Heavy steering, I have found can be down to the wheel alignment. Getting that right is not hard and can make a world of difference. Doesn’t matter what the machine is, truck, tractor anything. Jeff
