I used to watch your video when you first got into caltech.I commented that caltech was my dream university, you replied if i apply, you would help me. Interesting part, i am from Bangladesh, almost 2 oceans away from the US. So, I didn't apply for foreign universities for some reasons. But did my best to crack the hardest entrance exam in my country. I got into bangladesh University of engineering and technology. Again i have set my goal to reach caltech after graduation for phd or ms.
That's awesome, congrats!! Best of luck in getting into Caltech; you can do whatever you set your mind to!

@@vijaisuria7231 Congrats!! Yes, LinkedIn only offers full-time roles to interns. They don't offer new grad roles outside of that!

Hi, Angel, I think you came from Colorado? If so, then how good is Colorado School of Mines relative to Caltech & MIT in quality & rigor of STEM education?
Hm, I wouldn’t know from experience because I have only taken classes at Caltech, but Colorado School of Mines is definitely known to be one of the top schools in Colorado for engineering! In terms of rigor, I have heard Caltech and MIT are more challenging, as the course work is extremely difficult to complete on your own (people have to collaborate to finish problem sets), whereas people I know who have attended School of Mines are able to do the work on their own!

Are Caltech students allowed to collaborate on problems from their take-home exams or not?
@@suthiraphanassarat8669we aren’t allowed to collaborate on exams unless they a group projects! Sometimes problem sets will also have no-collab questions!

Thank you for the info but do Caltech students always have to average above 90% on their p-sets & exams for an A in any courses or sometimes they may get A for only 50% or below on everything that is graded in some classes?
@@suthiraphanassarat8669sorry for the late response! Every class is different (some classes may curve and some classes may have no exams even) but in general you will need at least an average of 90% to get an A!

I first learned about data structures during my freshman year at Caltech! I don’t think I fully grasped everything though so I reviewed everything using Leetcode and researching in my own! I also heard the book “Cracking The Coding Interview” is very useful!
