I didn't get it in my boat till the end of Sept. so it was past the hottest days of Summer by that point, but the times we took it out it was still pretty warm, and I can honestly say it was never an issue. I love the stuff, it makes a world of difference in the look and feel of the boat. Good luck!
Love the boat. We bought our 08 model last year and largely due to the review of your test drive video post. I just installed a new wake tower on mine (scary has hell drilling into the boat) but for sure next thing to do are these floor mats. It just makes the interior look 100x more finished. Thanks again for the awesome posts.
Absolutely! It still looks like it did the day I installed it. I figured that maybe after some wear that the small corners of some of the pieces might lift up, but that's not the case so far. Everything is still firmly attached, and no fading either. Grats on your boat purchase, you'll love it!
I hope to make more videos in the future, yes! :-D So far the boat has been great! We love having the ability to carry more comfort items with us on our trips. As far as costs go...it really depends on how much WoT running about you do...it does drink up the gas at WoT, but of course you're going about 60mph too, so it has it's upside ;-) We've went on a 75 mile day trip one day and we cruised around 25-30 mph and it cost us about $70 is gas, so it's very reasonable at slower cruising speeds
I helped my bossfriend “clean up” his vhull catamaran lookin boat. All fiberglass and has like 38372 million drains in the deck, under the seats, under the floor from bulkhead to bulkhead. The sink had a drain down to Hull and out from side. ......WELLLLL what went from a let’s drink beer and hose off the boat to a real deep clean. The drains all stuck with leaves and crud from sitting for a few years... cleaned em out by /carefully/ using a hose hittin down in there with water. From both directions. Eventually the bleachwater we cleaned the rest of the boat with ran them out super clean. Good idea but be careful sticking your long sharp rods into holes. The insides of some drains are soft and if you put it in too deep or with hard pressure, you can hurt or damage. Then it’ll always leak smh :) How is it running is it the dual motor kinds?
I am thinking of adding the Hydro Turf to our 150 Speedster also. Wanted to know if it held up for you and if you were satisfied with it, Was it easy to clean, did the edges curl, was it comfortable for bare feet. Was there anything about it that you didn't like. Thank you.
Honestly how was the whole boat in general,if I take it out by me ,it mostly won't be lakes, but I would make trips out to nj to ride out there. I don't think it will do well in the choppy water
I really didn't "drill" anywhere, I just used the drill bit to kinda poke down through the foam. It didn't take to much force, just a little wiggling around and some pressure and it went through. As far as the angle goes, if anything it would have been slightly back toward the back and in to the middle but mostly just straight down.
how does that turbo turf hold up to sandles, shoes, etc? i am a believer in not having shoes in the boats too often anyways, but if im fishing or something, may not be barefoot (colder days)
johnocch1 I had the boat for about 2 years and the Hydroturf was amazing. It looked brand new the day i sold it. I bought the mats straight from www.hydroturf.com They are many times worth the price you pay!
johnocch1 the boat was a lot of fun! I never had any mechanical issue with the boat. Sold it to get a bigger boat :). The only thing I can say about the boat, that while is does handle chop "ok" for it's size. It can get pretty bumpy if you're in bad chop. But it is only a 14'5" boat, so that's pretty much to be expected....I wouldn't call it a downside, just a reality. It was easily one of the fastest things out on the water most days we took it out.
Thanks for the awesome video, I just purchased a 2006 Seadoo Sportster and was wondering where you got the Hydro Turf? I'm going to buy some for mine. thanks
