He took a massive beating in this fight and showed a-lot of heart; Took Lennox’s best punches like it was nothing. I think Tyson’s toughness is pretty underrated. Lennox said he hurt his hand too and thats why he wasn’t throwing his right hand for a few rounds, but Tyson still hung around for 8 rounds when he had no business to. Man had heart.
Well, we really dont know that, thats why you have to watch the fight instead of just speculating....anything can happen in boxing, especially at HW. But it sure would have been a far closer fight if 88 Tyson could have fought 2000 LL. I do believe Mike was always scared of LL......but that doesnt mean I dont think he could beat him.

Mike was past his prime but he also put on too much weight for this fight. He was a monster at 215 to 221. Had no business fighting at 234.
He was scared here and the bravado was just putting on a front.
Tyson was over the hill here, no where near his peak by any means.
And yes, he was too heavy!
Manny was pretty much bang on with his prediction and how Lennox forced the fight.
If Lewis had more conviction in this fight he could’ve stopped Tyson in two rounds, Tyson wasn’t in shape at all

@@SA77888 i think Lewis would have always won. Too big. Plus Lewis can fight and box. So he had 2 weapons. Mike got rolled over. Plain and simple.
I think if they have fought in 1990 it would be a very close fight. Tyson could have pass the jab like he did against Larry Holmes.
