The Shanbehzadehs Ensemble offers a unique aspect of hypnotic dances and
traditional music from the Persian Gulf and more precisely from the unkown region of
Boushehr.
The main instruments include the Neyanban (Iranian bagpipe), Neyjoti (double flute),
Dammam (dual faced percussion), Zarbetempo (percussion), traditional flute, Senj (local
type of cymbals) and Boogh (horns).
Founded in 1990, this Ensemble directed by Saeid Shanbehzadeh delighted audiences in
Iran, Europe and North America with the hypnotic rhythms and melodies of this amazing
music.
TRADITIONAL MUSIC FROM BOUSHEHR
Boushehr is situated far of the centre of Iran, near the south-west coast of the Persian Gulf.
This city lives at the rythm of a tradition and a culture different from the North, especially from
the region of Teheran.
The history of Boushehr is the symbol of a fishing village which has become a strategic war
area.
Down the centuries, Arabian, African, Indian, Armenian and Jewish populations integrated
the city and participated to the local trade.
The music from the city of Boushehr arose from the unique combination of Persian, Arab,
African and Indian traditions that came together centuries ago in this southern Iranian cultural
crossroad on the Persian Gulf.
This diversity results from the wealth of local traditions in which music plays a vital role in all
aspects of life: religion, work, social events, drama, music therapy and trance.
The traditional musical ensemble of Saied Shanbezadeh is available
for concerts, festivals and workshops.

Nice Persian (Iranian) instruments call ney anbaneh. It is a traditional instrument of the south of Iran. They play this in sunset next to the Persian golf beach. Beautiful moment. Very warm blood people. Vey kind.

Nope, these are not from all of the world.
The best one called Kaba Bagpipe from Bulgaria is not on the stage!!! Make a search for videos and see what I am taking about.
there was a djura.
Saeid Shanbehzadeh Who was the piper in the black dress who began soloing at the 5:00 mark? I thought her scale choice and note selection was incredibly unique and I would like to find more of her music if possible. Thanks.
He, His it is clear in the video that Shanbezadeh is male!!!
@@Heybat No, he is right, at 5min is the blonde girl playing the Spanish gaita..
@@carenataocinqueporte It is funny how people years later remind you about your comments lol
That is Lorena Freijeiro, a very famous Galician gaita player.

this is nat music thise is a just sound pollution
@jeffman3003 Grand BS. The whole point of this is bringing people of the world TOGETHER not separating them by delusional racial labels. Take your issues elsewhere.
That sounded terrible.. Sorry guys, not all instruments called bagpipes, belong together...
این دیگه چیه؟ عظمت موسیقی نیهنبان را با این سازهای غربی خراب نکنید
خسته نباشی سعید ولی اصلا خوشم نیامد ارزش موسیقی ناب بندری رو اوردی پایین

aaaannnd my ears are bleeding. Couldn't get passed the opening, just awful. The Middle East may have spawned the bagpipe but it's sense of musical arrangements and tuning are not at all pleasing to my ears. Please Mid East, please stahp.
+kilted44 you just don't have bagpipe ears, maybe.
+Sigourney Di Blasi I've been playing for the last 10 years, I watch the World Championships every summer, I was privileged enough to have one of the best pipers in the world oversee our pipe band. I think I've got an ear for pipes.
+kilted44 maybe an ear, but the other is so so. xDD (I am joking, you don't have to get mad. The thing may be the frygian scale, that you are not used to it, or maybe the rythm changes of arab music... I don't know. I grew up,among pipes and pipers, (can't play myself because of lung issues) and it sounds fine to me. now again, I am used to middle eastern music as well, so..)
+kilted44 Actually, it is funny that you say that because, except for himself, Shahbehzadeh is here with entirely European pipers. From right to left: Hungarian Duda, Bulgarian Gaida, (Persian Ney Anban), what looks to me a form of Polish Dudy, Spanish Gaita, Estonian Torupill, and Flemish or Dutch Dudelsack. The title is misleading, this is not Boushehr music nor anything like it, they are certainly not playing anything from the mideast tradition, sounds more like a stripped-down, slowed-down French or Italian country dance, something that they could all play without much rehearsal. I agree that this is not a great performance, it is a novelty act really, it is impressive that they could get these small-range, idiomatically-intoned folk instruments together even as well as this. I take it you are a Scottish Highland Bagpipe guy, trust me, that sounds just as bad as this, you're just used to it.
This is low class rubbish.
