I remember my Grandfather and Father (both Golf Pros)talking about you Jack. They were admiring his attention to detail with the annual review with Jack Grout. Also the way he kept a focus on family life well returning home after competitions. He told us; we are responsible for my own game (My Father when I complained about a bad shot. Said you put the ball there!) Yes Jack you are always represent the best of USA. Keep well, David Thomson Glasgow Scotland
Brilliant - There are many other top pros who hook the ball into the hole on putts. And they do it for the same reason Jack sliced the ball into the hole. It doubles the margin for error just as Jack says here. I don't think he wanted to give that one up but did it out of respect for Immelman who admired him so much. The pro's do not hook it with twist, they do it with lift which you can do with a good stroke. I too finds that it works. Michael Breed and Stan Utley also agree with this technique. Breed even teaches it. Jack also did that with his "bread and butter" fade drive. Fade or hook it is the same thing. You are doubling your margin for error over going for the center of the hole
I love listening to Jack. Great guy
