Wow! The car culture around Auckland is impressive. I'm amazed at how many left hand drive American cars were imported to New Zealand in the past. I agree that they had more cool colors on production cars available back then.
When commenting on vehicles, please dont say " i know you are not interested in these cars ( no n us models) because YOU are at a car culture meet, remembercthe saying? Diifferent makes, same passion! , these are the sort of meets that get the cultures together, and until we do a full "get together " the car culture will never have any cloud with successive goverments
Totally agree brother, just one thing to point out: after 10 years doing social media I know my demographics and if you start spacing out too much from the original mission, people start to leave. Rightfully so, I'd say. For this reason I have another channel for all things rotary/JDM/exotics and vintage racing, have a look at @racecars.universe and you'll understand I'm all for cars without any limitation to brand, model, country of origin.
Right hand drive became a factory option with c8 model , there is a registration rule in new zealand that if a car model is available in right hand drive then a left hand drive becomes a prohibited import
Where's all the 89 Pontiac trans am firebird GTAs at I've got one . when i check my reg a few years back it said there were only two registered in nz there must be more by now.
Educated Greens ;(if there are any) would love it as the hydrocarbons we produce feed the plant life. There is more greenery on earth than there was 100 years ago. Ban the internal combustion engine and the world will starve.
OMG, my heart goes out to these poor Aucklanders, having to drive around in old metal like that! Good on them for pretending that this is a lifestyle choice, at least they keep them clean! The odd Russian and German millionaires sandwiched in between.....so very sad. No MONEY in NZ! Judging by this, NZ economy will soon rival Cuba! Homeless gangsta' evreywhere, no money for KFC wings, can't afford the school fees or new jandals.....best we polish the car the whole weekend, keeps us out of jail.....well mostly.

@almostbutnotentirelyunreas166 not really cause we do have 5.5m population but only 500k or something are into cars and the car scene. It's remarkable to know that NZ has one of the highest ratio of Classics per Capita in the whole world
