I used them for 400 km, mostly on concrete. Now they feel 'dead'. I expected them to last at least double the distance (I bring only 63 kg with me). It was great to run with them, but I doubt I will buy them again due to the low durability.
Thankyou for the review. For me 300 miles is no good. All my asics have 500 to 600 miles with one pair having done over 1200 miles and still knocking out good ½ marathons . With the price of shoes £100 or much more I definitely want quality and distance . 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️
Thanks for the update. Just got my monsters to 120km and it does feel a bit dead... and the outsole is showing a lot of wear. This is exactly why I'm hesitant with this kind of tech (where they use hollow pods), I thought right... The cloudpods aren't sustainable in terms of durability. Even my cloudventures are as dead (and flat) AF after 250km in (not to mention pods are coming off). Enjoyed them (ON's) while they lasted, but definitely can't get your money's worth except for fashion and style maybe. Hoping to get a different story for my cloudsurfer 7, got suckered in coz they really feel great on feet. Oh well... gonna be looking somewhere else for my next trainers then. My Zoomfly 5's are on the same mileage but still as poppy as the first time I ran in them and almost no wear on the rubber outsole, and that says a lot. Cheers!
@@PedroPerez-we9oh almost any other On shoe has provided more durability than these original Cloudmonsters. Even the Cloudmonster Hyper has been more durable than this regular version.
I did try these. I gave up on them after 320 miles. The sole was ok, but I could not get the laces to dial in a comfortable fit. Probably the first pair of ON shoes I really didn't gel with.
@@RunningWithDusty Cloud flow is my fav. I actually like the Cloud Boom for half mara races. Currently enjoying Cloudgo as easy mile shoe. Cloud stratus for distance- I should have bought another pair of these instead of the monster.
Amazing review, thanks!. I am a bit worried about stones stuck into the "clouds" when you go on a gravel or tartan track. Did that actually happen to you?
honnestly I felt mine started to lose that bounciness way quiker. I'm a heavier guy so even more firmer shoes are supposed to be able to offer more spingyness since I naturally load it heavier. Cloudmonster is the only model starting to feel flat and boring much quicker than my other running shoes. I'll use runnner's knot and give it another try soon. But I guess I'll soon have to move it being only a walk arounnd shoe.
I haven't repurchased the Cloudmonster again because of the durability. My latest pair of Cloudsurfers are approaching 400 miles and they still feel great!
@@RunningWithDusty Unfortunately what I gathered from other sources seems to agree with the idea that those cloudtec pods beinng not very sustainable. I mean, it's such a pity. While it worked the cloudmonster did lowered my HR and I kind of like their looks. But it just runs more and more like a brick the more miles I put it through. While my cloudsurfer to me felt like just any other brand's running shoe but way shallower with just a mild bit of squishiness and lost their unique trait. Would've be good if on could tweak the monster's design in its successor, not just simply exclude the speed board but combine the best of both worlds.
They make two shoes for this purpose. The Cloudvista and the Cloudultra. Both are comfy, the Cloudultra fits half a size small for most people and is better suited for longer distances
I would choose either the Invincible 3 or the Asics Novablast 3. The Cloudmonster is much firmer than the Invincible 3, but I would choose the Cloudmonster for a faster run over the Nike.

I got the cloud monsters and same problem, do you recommend anything else?
Thanks a lot, Bro 👍
Of course!
Great video ! What do you think for every day walking in a Hospital

Do you recommend anything with more durability my Cloud monsters lasted less than a year

That's too bad! I haven't met many people who haven't liked the Cloudmonster. What are their other shoes you've liked?

Love all of those...except the Cloudboom, haha.
Also have these but witch would be better for track the cloudmonsters or track spikes(dragonfly) for 3000meters

Hi Vanessa, sorry for the late reply! This specific model rarely, if ever, gets rocks stuck in the bottom.
hi! thanks for review. Is this shoe suitable for vertical jumping? and for indoor sports ?
Hello I have a question is that good for pronation?

Which are the best ON shoes for road/trail combination in your opinion? I want to try a pair of ON next, not sure what to choose

Good review! Is the sizing true to size? Im currently wearing size US 12 on Nike, is size US 11,5 gonna be ok on Cloudmonster? Thx
Answer is in the video
If you had to choose a different shoes other than Cloudmonster, what would you choose? and how is this compared to invisble 3?
I would choose either the Invincible 3 or the Asics Novablast 3. The Cloudmonster is much firmer than the Invincible 3, but I would choose the Cloudmonster for a faster run over the Nike.
Good review!
Thanks!
how cushioned do these feel compared to ultras?
The Cloudultra? Quite a bit softer
would you recommend this for a flat feet?
nope durability looks poor
