      No. They engage / disengage when you make a connection

    Nice review! This Yamaha have a subwoofer pre out? Thank you!

      It has a stereo pre-out that is perfect for a subwoofer. (note: Often manufacturers just lable a pre-out as a Sub out to imply a wider feature set)

      This is an unboxing channel. Please find a retailer to go in and listen to it.

    I bought a black one 3 weeks ago. Fantastic sound and build quality. I have maybe used it for 100 hours and I love it.

    Can we place cd player on this amp coz it’s ventilation grail on top

    • @TLPCHC
      @TLPCHC  Год назад +2

      I would not recommend putting a CD player on top of an amp. The matching CD-S1000 (and up) are physically large enough for the player to go UNDER the amp. Maybe get a rack / cabinet(?)

    Might think of checking out this one as my next amp. Only problem is then I have the drama of working out what DAC or streamer to choose from of the hundreds out there.

      The 2200 is fully balanced, and better dynamic range

      @TLPCHC  9 месяцев назад

      Normally, I recommend the standard "FRONT" RCA output, but the RX-A6a supports balanced pre-out as well. If your power amp can run Balanced, these should be a better connection

    Nice amp. Have you tried the headphones out and does it sound good or just okay? I've heard the headphones out on the A-S1200 isn't very good. I listen to my music 95% of the time with headphones not to bother my neighbors and my other half. I'd rather not have to buy a separate headphone amp. It's fun to have the amp's signature straight out of the headphones out. Thank you!

    • @TLPCHC
      @TLPCHC  3 года назад +3

      Hi thebestoffools - The headphone output is not stunning, but good. If you listen that much to headphones, maybe a smaller amplifier and spend the difference on superb and dedicated headphone amplifier

      @@TLPCHC Yah, that's what I figured. I'll keep my Sansui AU-6600 and get a good headphone amp. Thanks for your reply. Cheers.
