Standards in the industry are slowwwly changing, for example- we already have an official black idol and we also have lana- a white girl but that it is a Kpop idol- she has asian features and might have a long ago asian ancestry but she still is predominantly white. It’s not up to you at this point, if the Korean company and Koreans are fine with it, so be it. The chances could be slim now, but it’s not 100% impossible, in the future- those percentages might go down even lower.

Standards in the industry are slowwwly changing, for example- we already have an official black idol and we also have lana- a white girl but that it is a Kpop idol- she has asian features and might have a long ago asian ancestry but she still is predominantly white. It’s not up to you at this point, if the Korean company and Koreans are fine with it, so be it. The chances could be slim now, but it’s not 100% impossible, in the future- those percentages might go down even lower.

As a full East asian, Lana does not have any resemblance to an asian nor has asian features. Asian features is too vague of a term to even describe. Asian could be anything. I think that you or others shouldn't audition. Stop tryna steal the spotlight from East Asians we're already super underrepresented in the West. Learn to stay in your lane. Sure we might've won a bit of recognition thanks to BTS for opening the doors to our asian culture but that's just a small part of it.
I kinda think in kpop it's Korean pop music but it's not that ppl should be Korean it's more like the language should be Korean when they sing coz nowadays there are many idols who are in the industry who are not from Korea but the language they sing is in Korean like Lisa from BLACKPINK and bambam from GOT7 and the whole group of WAYV
