- How to achieve the perfect, defined twist out on type 4 natural hair EVERYTIME!

Tip 1 : make sure your hair is smooth
Tip 2: if you have thick hair like type 4 do smaller section's
Tip 3: if you have not too good ends take a small tooth comb smooth it and make sure smooth
Tip 4:coil the end of your hair for smoother look
Tip 5:don't apply too much water
Tip 6: be a little heavy handed with thicker hair
Tip 7:there will be a section that is two big or two small to be two do a three strand twist
Tip 8:there will be a faster drying time if you don't drench your hair with water
Tip 9: when a section is to big add just a little bit with the gel because you want let light soft fluffy hair
Tip 10: let your hair air dry instead of defuse
Tip 11: try to Avoid frizz twist the other direction of the twist
Tip 12:put oil on your hand when separating
Tip 13: separate more in the back then the front for more volume
Tip 14:bring a finger threw your hair with oil for a easier experience
Tip 15 don't separate all twist so on different days you can separate and have the twist out last
Tip 16: some gels that do work with your hair do still leave white in your hair
Tip 17: you have retwist your hair at night
Tip 18 where a scarf or a honey when sleeping

Since my hair is a bit more on the 4a side or 4b I'm not too sure... I do my twists out with a little bit of water and if the styling cream I'm using already has slip I don't add too much water. Sometimes a styling cream can be so thick once you twist your hair with it and it may dry but once you unravel it it'll leave white specks. I usually do my twists and let it dry dry and I use a slippery product or custard that is clear and not thick. Place a pinky amount on each twists and unravel them. When I do that it leaves my hair bouncy and my curls look hydrated.

It’s amazing to see your hair like it looked on day 6 because I promise my looks like this after about three days. My definition never lasts long. (I have to start stretching my hair so it’ll look this good). I feel like when it looks like your day 6 hair I needed to wash it because it may be dry due to all the shrinkage. I feel like growing up we taught not to use a lot of product in our hair hence why don't use a lot of product now. Well I should say up intil a couple years ago. I think I see a big difference. I don't know, I feel like before I couldn't get my hair to grow past my shoulders but now it is. I didn't change my routine I just added more product.

You guys I made the biggest mistakes in life. Went to a hair salon and the lady said she really liked my hair and wanted to give me a curl. Why did I say yes ?? She relaxed my hair then put rollers in my hair for a more ‘defined curl’. I didn’t know it was a relaxer because there was no smell . Then a week later I dyed my hair. I kept my hair in a protective style for almost 2 months and after taking it out and seeing my new growth I’ve never been so mad at myself. I’m chopping it all off tomorrow and starting over . My 3 year streak is over & I’m back to a twa 🙄💇🏽♀️💇🏽♀️

I have just a couple questions...first of all I love your channel haha but I usually do braid outs on my hair because I feel like my hair always comes out like yours did back in the days when you didn't do twist outs well as you mentioned, and I feel like it's because my hair is not as thick/full as yours. I have thinner hair naturally, so it seems like it effects how twist outs end up. But, this video is inspiring me to try one more time lol but where can I find the texture ID styling creme? Also how do you keep your hair at night so it can last long? My braid outs literally only last like 2 days tops.

Honestly, I got both products and I prefer the Coco Creme. But I haven’t fully figured out how to use the Texture ID for my hair, maybe use less product 🤷🏽♀️.
