I also backed this for multiple reasons (I’m at Disney so couldn’t be on):
1) the ships legitimately looks amazing. Very distinct looks and very different
2) the gameplay. It reminds me a lot like watching The Expanse when it comes to movement and combat. It’s not a space opera game (firestorm armada or BFG), it’s not a fleet drop game (Dropfleet commander), and it’s not a skirmish (Star Wars). It reminds me a lot like battletech in space with the ship management.
3) the addons have been increasingly awesome. I’m super curious as to what that 225k unlock is cause it looks like a damn Rohk from EVE and I’m allllll for that.
4) alternating activations. It speaks for itself.
I’m totally excited for this as locally we have been playing Infinity non stop - which is a joy all of its own. I love that we can now space combat this.
Also…. I mean who doesn’t make pew pew noises when they play 🤣

The expanse was the first thing I thought of too seeing the gameplay!
As per @Ramper Design insight about the matter, it is hard for a single player to manage more than 3 ships, too much stuff to be considered at the same time. I would also add that it would possibly introduce downtime in each phase due to inevitably longer thinking about the multiple options
Backing this and I'm pretty excited for it. I'm a fan of space fleet games and haven't really gotten the chance to get into one since Battlefleet Gothic. Played X-wing in previous editions but while fun in its own right I didn't scratch the same itch.
I'm big into Infinity so was an easy choice to back this. I will say as far as the local players go I might be the only one grabbing it. Just haven't been able to whip up the enthusiasm I'd hoped for. So the big question will be how well does it his play if I'm loaning out ships rather than everybody showing up with their own. I'd imagine it'll work fine but only time and testing will tell.
