Ok D&D, don’t laugh! This is for Mur. My first car was a 1967 Triumph Spitfire Mk. ?. Lost the RF wheel due to stripped adapter. Switched over to American Racing 4 spoke coke bottles. I think Dan calls ‘em “daisy’s”. Shift tower came off in my hand. And finally, the steering wheel came off in my hands pulling into the high school parking lot. This was like ‘76-‘77. After putting a clutch in her, I ended up trading it in on a 1973 VW Super Beetle. Had it for over 20 years, traded it for a 1965 GMC.stepside. Then bought the bug back. Anyway, that’s my British Leyland car story. So I understand. Really enjoy watching you and the kids interacting! 😎

OMG! What a tsunami of info in only the first few minutes of the show! We stopped and rewound the episode to comment! Mur really needs to have his own 'Sally Field" moment and understand that we all really do LIKE him!
Danny has the best Dad! Mur has a sharp sense of humor, is not full of himself, tells a great story, make fun of Danny in a good way & has a huge head full of hands on knowledge that people , at least us, are very interested in him sharing! If you keep doing this on Sundays, you're going to have us out of bed early to watch it as soon as it's released! And we never get out o bed early on Sundays, except for a good swap meet! ;)

The reason I love VGG is the family aspect because our world is getting away from families. Your show gets me the same way, you all show people that families are a great thing. You can tell how unbelievably important Mur is to him and it comes out in the video.

Another awesome video!! I've thoroughly enjoyed these podcasts!! It's so funny watching how different Dan and Murr are on some things while being the same on other things especially their mannerisms!! 😂😂 Thanks for the laughs!! Reminds me a lot about when my Dad & I would sit around & BS! We always seemed to have different ways of doing things regardless what it was! To this day anytime I'm working with someone on a project & we don't agree on how to do it, I can hear my Dad say, "there's more than one way to skin a cat!" That was always his go to phrase! Cherish the time you have together because one day all you'll have is your memories!! I've been relying on them since 9/11/09.

Great show. I always enjoy Mur on the Speed Shop episodes he brings Senior knowledge. Now with all 3 of you mixed together it is really enjoyable. An FYI I have several Battery maintainers I use them year around on my plow truck winters on the riding mowers boat battery ect. I think they are great. Mur do you remember when the measure of a man was the quality of his jumper cables? I got a good pair when I was 16, my 1st cars lived on jumps and I still got them today and I'm 70 and lucky past cars needing jumps. Keep up the good work. Dani keep reminding these guys some of us listen. I do out in the garage putzing on my 63 C10.

The podcast with Mur is fun and, frankly, heartwarming. Ask Mur to share his experiences with his own vehicles, while the newer model car are not the topic for DD Speed Shop - it creates a nice conversation about how things have changed so dramatically. Tech in new cars is very advanced, but what have we lost with the character of the classics.

Great episode! I still have an old school 6v/12v charger. Did not realize that a battery tender was the new thing to have. Here in the Southwest US it is just hot, no seasons. 😀

THANKS for featuring an episode with Mur again! It's great to watch the easy back & forth as Dan and Mur follow each other around on tangential topics and then come back to the original spark! What an interesting list of rants! Dan and Mur, for their differences & many divergent auto interests both underscored that the start is safety, the #1 thing at heart. But soo many questions...tough to know where to start.
The main take away we've gotten from DDSS is that there is always hope. So many people think that throwing $$$ at a car is a the only way to get what you want. But time and again Dan shows that hard work with ingenious solutions & often minimal outlay is possible to resuscitate what may be the car of your dreams.
A Mur Question - MGB related - Mine's a 1975 - a bday pressie to myself, since women of a certain age need something fun to focus on ;) Poor thing went from a long term 25yr+ owner through a few more owners, last two, well-intentioned tinkererers balled it up pretty badly. Insult to injury Did Mur's MGB have power brakes? Did it also have SU carbs? We're encountering space issues to accommodate an air filter for the back carb, front carb no issue . Considering doing it the DDSS way - building a metal air box in the Brown-Branch Garage ;) Any ides Mur?

You rebuilt a car 95 percent and stopped at the last 5 percent. Thats like running a Daytona 500 and drive 480 laps and say got to draw the line somewhere and stop. I must say, proud of you for using paint this time!

Love if mur would let us know what’s the best products out there 👍🏻 it would encourage manufactures to build a better product , I still have my parents toaster they got as a wedding gift in 1957 ,still works better then new toasters ,even toasting and fantastic quality . Nice to see mur on the pod cast , you two also 👍🏻👍🏻
