And EXO is the first ever kpop group to have a continuous storyline, a lore. After they saw EXO's successful lore, every other kpop group started doing it, before that kpop groups do tell stories but weren’t coherent and continuous, they just randomly tell different stories in different Music videos. EXO's storyline was actually originally written back in 70s, The father of kpop, Lee soo man, SM entertainment's creator, actually wrote it when there was news of 12 UFO seen in Korea, he got the idea, was waiting to create insanely talented idols, EXO's RUclips channel was actually created back in 2006, like 6 years before their debut, so that's how detailed their storyline is.
Kim JongIn was given the stage name Kai because Kai means opening, as in a door or gateway, in Chinese. As the center of the group, it's his job to be the one who travels across history, time and demotions to connect all the EXO members together. That is also why he was given the superpower of teleportation. He has a Chinese name, even though he is a member of EXO-K, because he is supposed to be the one that brings EXO-K and EXO-M together. It's also why he is often the first member to be shown in their MV teasers or storyline because he is the "opening" of the story. Not only is Kai a main dancer of EXO, but he is literally one of the top two BEST dancers of all dancers in the Kpop industry. (Taemin from SHINee, who happens to be Kai's best friend since trainee days and a fellow member of SuperM, is the other top dancer.) And that's not just a fan's opinion, but it's a title given to him by his peers and industry experts. That's also one of the many reasons why he is a member of SuperM. Although Kai has made crop tops famous and was one of the first male idols to wear them, he actually doesn't LOVE to be shirtless or show off his abs as much as people might think. Kai is often shirtless because he is known for his abs and it's become part of his brand. These days it's almost expected of him that he will show off his abs. It has even sort of became part of EXO's storyline. He has literally been on a strict diet and workout regimen for most of his career in order to maintain his abs. If you check that episode of "I live Alone" where Kai was on the show, he shows off his super chic condo and talks a little about his diet. However, in an episode of the variety show Knowing Bros. he talked about how on stage he doesn't mind being shirtless because it is part of the character he embodies, but the minute he steps off stage he becomes extremely self-conscious. During "Tempo" and "Obsession" era when he was wearing crop tops all over the place to perform during music shows and events, etc. he said it caused him to have really bad posture, because the minute he stepped off stage he would slouch to try and cover his stomach. Even though he knows he looks good, as you just saw, Kim JongIn is really shy. Therefore, I think if it hadn't become such a big part of who he is as an idol and model, he probably wouldn't be shirtless very often. Just so you know, the other members of the Padding squad are also idols. Ravi is a former member of the Kpop group VIXX, Timoteo is a former SM trainee when Kai and Taemin were trainees and later left SM and became a member of the Kpop boy group HotShot, Sungwoon is from the Kpop boy group Wannaone, and they didn't include him, but there is one non-celebrity founding member Jung KwonHo, who is a high school friend of Taemin, Kai and Timoteo. All the members of the Padding Squad -- which is so named because of the matching padded jackets (winter jackets) they all got as members of the group -- are all around the same age.
Kyungsoo is not wild and violent, he is super sweet, considerate, kind, but boys especially Baekhyun and Chanyeol love to bother him to see his reactions, which is almost always to make faces of "if you don't let me I'll give you" or give them some cake and they are exactly what they look for in him, he is much calmer when he is with Exo, but he is also playful, cheerful, very humble and if very honest he says things clearly, especially to his fans, there are fans who call idols husband or boyfriend and they either don't pay attention or even play along, and Kyungsoo (D.O) No, always every time he hears him called husband or boyfriend he always says NO, I'm neither your husband nor your boyfriend, I'm a friend, oppa... Or when someone from the younger audience calls him by his first name (in Asia if you talk to someone older you can't call him by his first name, it's rude) he "scolds" him but in a good way and laughing it off, he cares about everyone and always Ask her fans if they've eaten, if they've taken their vitamins, to go home soon, it's a love and I adore her voice
Majority of Fans over in South Korea are crazy. When Chen announced his engagement and baby through a letter I was crying due to how happy I was for him. He sounded so excited but then he had to go into hiding for a bit because of fans giving out threats to his wife and wanting him to quit the group. Everyone else internationally loved that he was with someone he loved and starting a family.
Right? All these so called fans who have para social relationships towards idols inbthe in their delulu minds need to stop. They treat them as objects they own. They claim to love them so much but if their fave steps even a nanosecond out of line they turn on them and attack them, some even completely destroying the idol's career. It's great that the other Exo members and true fans stood by him. We international fans still love and appreciate him, and the whole group. If only Exo could perform out west more and not the east. I bet those haters would start missing them.
38:00 Yes in Spanish, it is a cover of Sabor a mi and it is sung by D.O, Baekhyun, Suho and Chanyeol, they do it great but it is true that D.O is impeccable to sing in other languages, in his first album he released a version in English of his main song Rose and a song totally in Spanish Si fueras mía...
Not always tho. Baekhyun did in El dorado. Probably he doesn’t know who is who, so according to your comment he’ll think it’s Chen whenever there is a high note
As you saw, EXO's fan color is "Cosmic Latte" (like the color of a latte coffee) -- Cosmic Latte is said to be the color that is created when you combine all the colors of the stars together. (As otherworldly beings, even EXO's official color is linked to the group's concept.) EXO was one of the first Kpop artists to have a lightstick with bluetooth technology. (Although a lot of newer versions of other groups' lightsticks now also have bluetooth.) At events and concerts, this allows the lighting technicians to have control of the fans lightsticks in order to make it flash and pulse to the music however and whenever they want. In EXO concerts, the lighting technicians will set up whole light shows using the fans lightsticks that corresponds with the performances on stage, which makes fans even more a part of the show. EXO's lightstick has EXO's official hexagon symbol on top and it's made up of the letters E X O -- the E on the left edge of the hexagon with the X in the center and the shape🛑makes the O -- which is close to EXO's original logo for their debut "Mama" MV. Although EXO's fan color is "Cosmic Latte," each of the 9 EXO members also have their own official color, as you will see introduced in EXO's "Power" MV. Most lightsticks are primarily one color -- whatever color represents the group. For example, BigBang's lightstick is yellow and it has a crown on top because BigBang are known as The Kings of Kpop. SHINee's official lightstick is shaped like a diamond, and if you hold it up to a solid surface and look at the reflection the diamond makes, you will see a 5 point star to represent the 5 members of SHINee. SHINee's symbol is a diamond because they SHINe(e) like diamonds and it lights up an aqua blue/teal color because pearl aqua is SHINee's fan color. NCT's lightstick has a big square block on top, which is supposed to look like a building because NCT and their fans are part of the Neo City, and it lights up Pearl Neo Champaign (neon lime green). Red Velvet's lightstick has the letters RV inside a cupcake shaped dome that lights up red. Mamamoo's lightstick is shaped like a green and white radish because moo sounds like the Korean word for radish. BTS' lightstick is the ARMY bomb so it looks like a TNT-type bomb and it lights up purple. BlackPink has a pink hammer. Stray Kids' lightstick has a red and silver compass symbol on top and it glows red because their official color is red, etc. However, what makes EXO's lightstick extra special is that it's multi-colored to represent each of the member's individual colors. And, depending on which member of EXO is on stage at the moment, the lighting technicians often change the color of the lightsticks to the color that represents that member, or goes along with the theme of the stage, etc. (When attending a concert fans now use an app to sink their seat number with their lightstick, so that the lighting technicians can have control of their lightstick.) Although, some group's lightsticks aren't even sticks, but they are bracelets or watch-style lights that you can wear. It all depends on the group concept. And some groups that have been around a long time, or whose company likes to continuously come out with new merchandise, have multiple versions of lightsticks. Each are very unique and specific to the group. Although, in some older Kpop group's performances, from their older concerts or live performances -- such as any EXO live performance that took place before 2015, which was when EXO's official lightstick was released -- you might see that the audience only has plain stick lights or even just glow sticks, because before there were lightsticks, fans brought or were given glow sticks in the group's color. And even before glow sticks were a thing, fans would all wave a balloon that was the color of their group. The disadvantage to waving balloons was that the artists on stage couldn't see the balloons when the lights were off, which is one of the reasons why they now have lightsticks. Fun fact: G-Dragon, BigBang's leader, was the one who came up with the idea for the first lightsticks, because he wanted to be able to see and identify all of the VIPs (BigBang's fans) in the audience. G-Dragon was the one who designed the very first lightsticks and they were so popular among VIPs that other groups started to come up with their own versions of fan lights, which has now become a standard part of the Kpop industry. During award shows and events where multiple groups are present, the group's lightsticks and balloons are, and were, an important way for fans to show their support for their group and to tell everyone around them who they are there to see, etc.
1.White Shirt with creazy ,angle voice guy in killing voice is Chen (high note in Monster). 2.Baekhyun (Becon) is gray hair in killing voice who sang high note in El darado. Thank you for reaction to EXO.Looking for next video, please.
Yes, you will discover that all the members of EXO -- and most idols in general -- are actors, and all of them have starred in K-dramas and movies and/or are stage actors. Promoting as a group only takes up a few weeks a year -- on average, Kpop Idols only promote their latest music release on music shows and attend variety shows or do interviews, etc. to promote their newest album or single for about 2 weeks -- so in order to fill their time and continue to make money, all Idols have side projects, which means most idols also spend time as TV and movie actors, musical stage actors, models, Radio DJs, podcast hosts, authors, music producers, songwriters, regular/main cast members on variety shows, etc. Their side projects also are part of their cross promotions as idols. Someone who doesn't know them may watch them in a drama or movie or see them promoting their favorite brand or product, etc., which leads to them discovering their group and music, or the person may be a fan of them as a singer and this makes them want to watch their movie or drama, etc. It's all about getting their name and face out there in as many ways as possible in order to drive sales and viewership of everything they are involved in. The clip where you saw Xiumin cleaning the bathroom because it was so messy was during a reality TV show called "Dangerous Outside the Blanket," which was a Korean TV show where several idols who are known for being introverts were cast on the show together and they essentially spent a few days vacationing together while a film crew followed there every move. Xiumin was the only EXO member on the show, but there were several other Korean celebrities and idols who "lived with him" as part of the cast for the program. For example, the other guy you saw sneaking out of the room was Kung Daniel who is a Kpop solo artist and was a former member of the temporary Kpop boy group Wanna One (formed as part of a survival trainee competition TV show, that was only active from 2017-2019). "Dangerous Outside the Blanket" is just one example of the "side projects" idols and celebrities in Korea participate in as part of the Korean entertainment industry as a way to promote themselves and their groups, etc. It allows the general public who may not follow Kpop groups or the dramas or movies these members are in, to get to know them -- these programs often air on TV during primetime viewing as programs you would watch after coming home from work or school, etc -- which could potentially then make that person want to get to know them more, which could then cause them to become a fan and get them to watch their dramas or movies or get them to listen to their music, etc.
Lay was in all of EXO's MVs until the end of 2016, and he would have been participating in ALL of EXO's activities still today if it wasn't for the political issues between the Korean and Chinese government, which prevents him from doing so. He did leave SM Entertainment in 2022 -- when his contract was up after 10 years -- but he is always the first to tell people that if EXO ever wants or needs him for anything he will always be there for them. Unfortunately, the political climate between Korea and China was only a little better for a short time. However, since this guide was made, China's Idol culture has become even more restrictive after the election of their new president. Case in point, with Lay's recent solo comeback with his song "Psychic" this was the first time we saw him promoting in Korea in a very long time. He has even promoted a Korean version of the song on music shows in Korea and he also just was in Korea for his concert tour. In order to avoid any conflict between China and Korea, his new album is an All-English album, just like most of his solo releases when he was under SM. Although there are still several obstacles in his way to being able to work with EXO. Lay is a megastar in China, literally one of the biggest celebrities in China today. The reason why he is so big in China now, I think is essentially a product of the fact that he could no longer promote with EXO. He first started to do some solo work in China while he was still participating in EXO activities, but at that time he was mostly famous in China because of EXO. When the political tensions between Korea and China ramped up, he decided that if he wanted to continue his career, he needed to really focus everything he had in China. That's when he started to establish himself as a solo artist in China and to begin to build his career as a producer, singer, dancer, actor, model and all-around entertainer. You should check out Lay's official lyric video for his song "Jiu," a song on his East album, which was released after he announced his departure from SM. This song is evidence that he has not left EXO and that he still considers himself part of the group, as every word of the song is a tribute to EXO. I have also read that on Webo (the Chinese internet server) he mentioned how he was working out a deal with SM that could possibly allow him to still continue to do projects with EXO in the future. (I mean it's possible, afterall that's essentially the deal that Baekhyun, Xiumin, Chen and D.O. have. They have moved their solo promotions to other companies, but they still participate in things with EXO, which is under SM. Lay probably just has a few more stipulations than the other member.) I mean, SM has been supporting Lay in everything he has been doing so far, including endorsing him when he started his idol trainee company Chromosome in China. And I don't think there is any bad blood or uneasy feelings between Lay and SM, so anything is possible. As mentioned, Lay's hiatus from EXO is not something he has chosen, but it's something that has sort of been forced upon him by the government. When China first began cracking down on their citizens working in Korea around 2016 -- as a political protest over South Korea's alignment with the U.S. and China's support of North Korea, etc. -- there were rumors that the Chinese government was threatening to revoke the citizenship of any mainland native Chinese person who continued to do business with a Korean company and lived outside of China. This rule would have prevented Idols, such as Lay, from visiting family and doing business in China, etc. The only way for them to avoid this from happening was for them to come back to China right away and stop doing business with their Korean companies. I don't know if this was really true or if it was just a rumor, but that is what I heard. Which would explain why some Chinese Idols don't feel any pressure to stop working in Korea because they have nothing to lose if they don't have family or a life in China or they aren't mainland Chinese citizens, etc. Yes, there are lots of Chinese Idols still working in Korea. However, these idols don't have the connections to the Chinese government the way Lay and other idols do. Many of those Chinese idols' careers don't depend on being able to promote or live in China and many Chinese idols don't have close family living in mainland China or they are not from mainland China, which is why they have more immunity from the restrictions placed on Chinese citizens. For example, SM Entertainment group NCT-Dream's Chinese members don't work very much in China and most of WayV's members are not from mainland China. WayV is the Chinese sub-unit of NCT. That is also why SM has created Label V in order to make it possible for WayV to release music in China and its why WayV distances themselves from NCT whenever they promote in China. Lay's whole career is tied to being able to work and live in China and he is closely connected to the Chinese government as an ambassador of youth, so he has to tread lightly when it comes to how he conducts himself and who he chooses to associate with, etc. He can't afford to be blacklisted in the Chinese entertainment industry. For a long time, Lay was even discouraged from mentioning EXO by name in TV shows and interviews, but he always finds subtle ways to make it clear that being a member of EXO, and his EXO brothers, are always very important to him. We finally got to see Lay in an EXO project in 2021 -- the first time since 2016 (besides his brief solo appearance in EXO's "Tempo" MVs in 2018) -- with EXO's "Don't Fight The Feeling" MV, but he really didn't get to work with EXO because of the pandemic, etc. Everything he did for that MV was done remotely and independently and inserted into the song and MV. Lay started out learning how to dance as a trainee when he signed with SM at the age of about 17. According to him, at that time he wasn't a very good dancer and it took him a lot of hard work and time to get to the level that he's at today. Now he has become one of the BEST dancers in China that EVERYONE looks up to. Currently his favorite style of dance that he has been focusing a lot of his training on is Krump. Lay is regarded as an industry expert that pretty much all other dancers and musicians look up to -- he has even been credited with making Krump a mainstream dance style in China, and he is one of China's leading experts when it comes to Krump. However, he started out by learning popping and locking as a trainee with SM. Because of Lay's drive to constantly be learning new things, he is always striving to learn as much as possible and to be as diverse as possible about all styles of dance and cultures. Lay is such a good dancer because he literally is in the dance studio practicing for 6 hours EVERYDAY. (In an episode of Street Dance of China 4 in 2021, he specifically said "I practice for 6 hours every day." And he meant he does it regardless, no matter how busy he is or what he has going on. He even finds time to practice during filming for reality shows that have nothing to do with dance.) I have seen in a documentary where he starts his day around 4 a.m., he gets done with his schedule of events around 9 p.m. and then he spends from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the dance studio with his dance mentor dancing. That's also why he was given the title of the nation's producer by the Chinese government, and why he has been a mentor/dance instructor and main PD for several Idol trainee survival competition shows in China. (These are programs similar to American Idol, where trainees compete to be chosen to become members of a new idol group.) He is pretty much considered an expert when it comes to dance and performance, and he is beginning to gain the respect of songwriters, composers and music producers from all over the world. He is who everyone, especially in China, looks to as an example of what it takes to be an Idol. He is literally considered one of the most successful celebrities in China.
Yes, Suho is the leader of EXO. Suho (pronounced Sue-Hoe) in Korean means guardian, so Kim JunMyeon (pronounced Jun-Me-Yoon) was given the stage name Suho because he is supposed to be the guardian of EXO. And FYI: Just because Suho is one of the weakest dancers among a group of very good dancers, does not make him a bad dancer, it just means the other members' dance skills are that much more impressive. SM Entertainment as a whole is known for having some of the top dancers in the entire industry, including EXO's Kai and SHINee's Taemin, who are literally considered the top two best dancers in all of Kpop. Therefore, even SM's worst dancers are better dancers than most dancers. One of the main reasons why Suho was a trainee for 7 years was because he originally started out training to be a member of SHINee. (SHINee is a legendary 2nd generation 5-member group under SM, who everyone in the Kpop industry now looks up to and respects. They have been in the industry for more than 16 years and are still going strong today both as a group and as solo artists.) However, right before SHINee was to debut in 2008, Kim JunMyeon (Suho) injured his knee and he couldn't train for their debut showcase, so SM decided to debut SHINee without him. He ended up having to wait 4 more years, while SM worked on creating EXO and preparing the group for debut, before he debuted as the leader of EXO. (He was the first member to be chosen to become a part of EXO, which is another reason why he was made the leader of the group.) But, by all accounts, this worked out for the best because he became the leader, and as the other EXO members say, he was born to be a leader. If he had stayed a member of SHINee he never would have become a leader, because Onew -- who is the leader of SHINee -- is 2 years older than Suho, and at the time of SHINee's debut it was pretty much a given that the oldest member would automatically be the leader. However, 4 years later when EXO debuted, the rules within the industry had kind of changed and it was no longer a hard and fast rule that the oldest would be the leader. Case in point, Xiumin is the oldest EXO member and, yet, Suho became the leader. Being a trainee for 7 years isn't that uncommon. If you start to really look into it, you will find a lot of Idols who have trained for a very long time before they debuted. However, it all depends on how talented someone is or how much experience they have had before becoming a trainee as to how long they train. Some idols only train for a few weeks or a few months, whereas others could take years and they may be on the verge of giving up when the company finally decides they are ready to debut. And some trainees may never debut and end up leaving the company or industry. Unfortunately, just because you are a trainee doesn't guarantee you will debut. A lot of it is pure talent and luck combined with sheer dedication. For example, Kai tained for 6 years before he debuted and Johnny from NCT trained for 9 years. Although, Johnny -- who is Korean-American, from Chicago -- trained for 9 years because he was only a trainee part time. Johnny's parents only allowed him to spend summers in Korea, so he could only train for about 3 months when he was on summer break from school. Therefore, although Johnny was a trainee for 9 years, his trainee period, compared to other idols who trained full-time, was actually only about 3 years.
D.o is the guy you liked in the killing voice you said he was cute 😂 well he is! Although he wouldn't agree 😂😂😂. So, he has this song which is fully in Spanish would you believe? It's called "si fueras mia" and 2 English versions of Korean songs in English. "Rose" his Korean title track but the English version and exo's for life but in English. He's the best. An RnB king
All EXO members (except Sehun) have solo albums Suho has 3 "self portrait", "Grey suit" and "1 to 3". Xiumin has 1 "Brand new" Lay has many but I don't remember the names, the first one is called "Lose control" Baekhyun has 5, 4 in Korean and 1 in japanese: he recently released the last one. "City lights", "delight", "Bambi", "Baekhyun", "Hello world" Chen has 5, 4 in korean and 1 in japanese: "April and a flower", "Dear my dear", "Last scene" "Polaris" and "Door" Chanyeol had his solo debut at the end of August with his album "Black out" it has 2 Music videos "Black out" and "Back again" D.O has 3 albums " Empathy", "Expectations" and "Blossom" Kai has 3 albums "Kai", "Peaches" and "Rover" Sehun doesn't have a solo album yet, but he has a solo song "On me" from EXO-SC album "One billion views" (the mv is short but the song is longer in the album)
Main vocal/rapper means they do the most important or technically complicated part of a song. For vocals means the high notes, runs, etc. They also get the hook of the first chorus and the bridge of the song. EXO has 3 main vocalist (Chen, Baekhyun and D.O) and 1 main rapper (Chanyeol) Lead vocalist means they have (sometimes) the most quantity of parts, and sings the 2nd part of the chorus or the parts before high notes in the bridge. Suho tend to sing quite a lot of parts for bridges since Mama (their debut song) They do a lot of harmonies with the main vocalist. The lead leads the songs. EXO has 2 lead vocalist (Suho and Chanyeol)but some songs sub vocalist can still act as leads specially cause the members had improved a lot since debut. Lay used to be lead vocalist for the chinese versions. Lead rappers, like Sehun, still have many main raps when Chanyeol have more of a vocalist section on the song. But normally his parts are much shorter. There are many EXO songs when the only rapper is Chanyeol (most comonly are slower songs, rnb style which fits Chanyeol's deep voice like Baby don't cry, and She is dreaming, for example) Sub vocalist tend to have the least amount of parts but focus on the harmonies, which are the backbone of EXO'S songs. Same goes with sub rappers, fewer to none solo parts but many harmonies. EXO has 2 main dancer, Lay and Kai, but since Lay is unable to participate with EXO, Sehun kind of became a main dancer having to do many times Lay's parts when dancing with Kai.
Xiumin is pronounced like Shoe-Min or Shoo-Min. X in Chinese is pronounced like the sh sound in English not X or the English Z sound. As one of the two Korean members of EXO-M, EXO's Mandarin Chinese sub-unit, Kim Minseok was given the stage name Xiumin because it helps him fit in as a member of EXO-M and it makes him more relatable to their Chinese fans. Kim Minseok is also a very common name in Korea. Therefore, having a stage name also helps distinguish him from all the other Kim Minseoks in the entertainment industry. He was even on a reality show once where they cast several celebrity Kim MinSeoks together, so he actually asked them to call him Xiumin in order to make it less confusing when they were talking about each other. LOL I actually knew a well-known actor named Kim Minseok and a musician with that name before I knew Xiumin. Chanyeol is pronounced Chan-yul. Sehun is pronounced Say-hoon. The e is pronounced with a soft a sound. There is no e on the end, so the e doesn't say its name. Baekhyun is pronounced like Bek-hyoon or Bake-hyoon (or, as you saw, Bacon. LOL) D.O. is pronounced like the letters. Notice how there are periods in between the letters, so you pronounce the letters. Doh KyungSoo was given the stage name D.O. because it comes from the fact that his surname (last name) is Doh, and Doh sounds like D.O. in English. Also, just so you know, Tao is pronounced as ta-ow (like ta-ta). The a has a soft a sound. Again, there is no e at the end of the word, so the A doesn't say its name. I think where you're having problems is you're trying to pronounce these names thinking they should sound different in Korean, but Korean names are most often pronounced using the standard English rules for how words are pronounced -- especially if they are Kpop idols -- because they want Idols to have names that are easy for International fans to remember and pronounce.
you're probably officially an EXO-L 😂 welcome on board ❤️ you need to start with Kai solo (Rover , peaches , mmmh), Lay (Lit, the Veil) and Baekhyun(Candy, Bambi, pineapple slice) since you like dancing
I'll answer some questions, though I'm sure many in the comments have already done so. Suho trained for so long and was actually meant to debut in another group (SHINee), but they decided to wait because he was injured and put him in EXO instead. Which makes me grateful because he is the very best leader. Kpop has positions for groups, and many people can have the same position. They have levels (for lack of a better term). Main is the top tier, then lead is close behind, and then sub is after that. Many have said that if the non-main vocalist members (especially Suho) were in any other group, they would've been the main vocalists. The reason there was backlash for couples is because Korean idols are held to this impossibly high standard - I mean we call them "idols" for crying out loud. Fans get jealous and start complaining "why isn't our love enough for you" as if that's somehow the same thing as a genuine romantic relationship. Korean fans don't like their favorites dating because they want to crush on them and fantasize about being with them, and it ruins the illusion for them. It's ridiculous and unhealthy, but unfortunately very normal for Kpop artists to deal with. When fans found out Chen had a baby, a loud minority of the fandom asked for his removal from the group. Thankfully, the other EXO members told their agency that they wanted him to stay. You liked Baekhyun's vocals in Killing Voice but the person you kept commenting on and calling "angelic" was Chen. He's the one who does the super high note in Monster that you kept replaying. Xiumin is pronounced like shyoo-min (most Americans just say shoe-min but there is a slight pronunciation of the i) Baekhyun is kinda like bacon. It's behk-young without the g at the end. Suho is like sue-oh (or sue-hoh with the American accent). Sehun is like seh-hoon. The first syllable is like seh rather than see. I recommend Kai's mmmh but also Film:Kai. It's a trailer for his debut album so you hear a little snippet of each song and he has choreo for each one.
To clarify - in Killing Voice, Chanyeol (pronounce like Chan-yole) was the tall rapper/vocalist on the left, and Sehun (pronounce like say-hoon) is the rapper on the right. Chanyeol is the musician who plays all those instruments (guitar acoustic and electric, drums, DJ, piano and is a prolific songwriter. He did the primary killer rap in Monster, and Sehun and Chanyeol play off of each other with the rap lines. Together a powerhouse duo. Also CHEN, the one who is married, is the singer you referred to as angelic in Killing Voice. Yes, he is a powerhouse vocalist - the best in Kpop history -IMO. Baekhyun is also a main vocalist. He is the singer who at the time the video was made was noted as the only soloist with over a million album sales. Baekhyun has broken more records and has been a trailblazer. He just released his 4th(?) solo album, but it is his debut solo release under his own label, INB100. That album is Hello World, and the single release is Pineapple Slice, which you have to go react to. No one is like Baekhyun. 😄 Every EXO member is in their own right a true artist! Multi talented, and now in their best years as artists. Also - your question about why the fans have so much backlash…. This is clearly some nuances in Korean fandom culture where, from what I understand, idols can not be attached to other people, because they belong solely in the relationship with the fans. It’s pretty unique to Korean fandom and has huge implications to the personal lives of the artists. In Western culture, like here in the US, that kind of expectation is unheard of. Sure we love actors and musicians, but not to the point where we disallow their ability to live a full, happy life. I understand the expectation, but would prefer the artists to feel free and happy, and not harassed for getting married, having children or having a girlfriend, especially an idol-girlfriend. There’s so much more to learn about EXO. Just in the past year, an entirely new video could be made about EXO. So many accomplishments in the past 12 months!
Unfortunately, the fact that Chen is married with children -- he has 2 little girls now -- and still a member of an idol group doesn't sit well with a lot of fringe fans.* When it comes to the Korean public there are different standards for what it means to be an idol. Therefore, he and his family have gotten a lot of backlash from anti-fans in the past. The group has been boycotted and some people have even demanded that he be kicked out of EXO. That's why you hardly ever see anything about his private life mentioned anywhere. However, being married as an idol is generally looked at favorably by most international fans. *Notice how Chen got married the same year that his first daughter was born, which means his girlfriend was pregnant before they were married. I'm not saying the pregnancy was an accident, I believe they just chose to start a family before getting married. I think they had already planned on getting married, life just happened in the meantime. (Why I mention this, is because this may be why Chen gets a little more backlash from the Korean public as an idol, because he didn't follow the "proper" order of things.) There are actually more Kpop idols who are married with kids than you think. Changmin from the SM Entertainment group TVXQ got married in 2020 and his son was born in 2022 and he's still an active group member. Taeyang from the former YG Entertainment group BigBang got married in 2018 and his son was born in 2021. That's not to say it hasn't also caused them controversy, but if you're strong enough to fight it, it's possible to have a family and still be an idol. Although, it's not that common. It's just an unfortunate part of the Kpop industry and idol culture. Because they are called "Idols" the industry is designed to make it so fans idolize them and they are held to an almost impossible standard. As part of that, idols are meant to be pure and perfect and they are only supposed to be devoted to their fans, etc. EXO is the group that started 3rd generation (2012-2019), and, unfortunately, third generation began the era where the Kpop industry sort of insulated them and made it appear as if they never interact with anyone of the opposite sex. If you notice, most of the time whenever pretty much any third generation or younger group or artist, is around someone of the opposite sex, we hardly ever see the other person's face or see them interacting together. Third generation was when the Kpop industry decided to take the Idol image up to the next level and make it appear as if the idols were solely devoted to their fans and that they never have any outside distractions. To see the difference, take a look at some of the second generation (2000-2011) idol groups. (For reference first gen. is anyone who debuted from 1996-1999/2000.) Second gen. is way different from all the other generations. Which is why second gen. feels so much more open and free. This was when the Kpop industry really hit its stride and this era was a lot more about the interactions between the groups and how it was just one big happy family. With second generation they were all just groups and artists, it didn't matter what company they were from or what their music style was or whether they were a girl group or a boy group, they were just all part of the same industry and everyone got along. We very rarely even talked about what company a group was from back then, because it didn't matter. Second generation has always been the era where it was/is common practice to have girls in their MVs and as their backup dancers, etc. Second generation fans are used to the fact that they interact with girls and women all the time, so we have no problem with them having girls in their MVs or them dating (to a certain extent), etc. After all, during second gen. era, they had reality TV shows like "We got Married" where idols and celebrities would be paired up with an idol or celebrity of the opposite sex and they would spend several weeks filming content as a married couple. The whole point of the show was for them to live as if they were a real married couple. The show gave viewers and idols a glimpse into what it would be like if they were really married. Granted, these were all fake pairings and everyone knew they weren't in a real relationship, so this isn't quite the same as an idol dating in real life, but a program like this would be pretty hard to pull off in today's third gen. and younger era. This just goes to show you how things have changed. Third generation is where everything become more exclusive and it mattered what company a group or artist was from. It became all about a group's popularity and how they had to be better than everyone else. Everything became much more about cliques and it's more about an appearance of competitiveness and the importance of someone's status and rank within the industry. It became about who is better than who. It's very much reflective of society in general these days. Third gen. started the trend of always having to prove themselves and to show their worth by being better than everyone else. Where second gen. doesn't have to prove anything anymore, their popularity and standing doesn't waver just because they aren't the top seller with their last comeback or they didn't win every award under the sun. (I mean all those things are great and it's meaningful when they win, but that's not what second gen. are all about.) You can even see a difference in their fandoms. Second gen. fandoms get along with each other and they are friends with all the fandoms. If you were a fan during second gen.'s heyday then you know all the second gen groups and artists, and even if you aren't a super fan of a curtain group or artist, you probably still are a fringe fan. Where third generation and younger fandoms are much more exclusive, and they more often are competing with each other to prove who is better. For people who didn't get into Kpop until third or fourth gen., you see a lot less mixing of fandoms. For example, it almost feels taboo to say you're a fan of BTS and EXO in the same sentence without feeling like you need to qualify that statement by letting people know you have more love or passion for one group over the other, etc. Unfortunately, the industry has changed, but it really explains why you see and feel such a difference with second generation groups and artists compared to third and fourth generation, etc.
Thank you very much for reacting to EXO, I will be attentive to your next reactions, please "Miracles In December", "Mmmh", "Oh Lalala", "Obsession", thank you.
Esa guia se podria decir que está incompleta, actualmente podria dar algo de informacion respecto a los chicos. 1. Baekhyun es triple millon seller. Sacó en agosto su cuarto álbum Hello world. 2.
Korean fans were really something when their idols get into relationship. Same goes with Chen when he announced his engagement in year 2020, Korean fans even petitioned infront of SM Entertainment building and request for Chen’s removal from the group.
you need to watch FILM:KAI , it has snippets of all of his songs from his first album ! and you also have the FILM:KAI rover, with the songs from his 3rd album and it really showases his talent
Some extra info's *Baekhyun is a quadruple million seller now *EXO-CBX is formed because they have the same heights😆 *There are three CEO's -Lay owns Chromosome Entertainment Group -DO-SOOSOO Entertainment -Baekhyun -INB00 (Chen and Xiumin are not under SM anymore but in Baekhyun's Company) *Lay left SM Entertainment but he is still a member of EXO, meaning he just leave the company not the Group. *Same thing happened to D.O, Baekhyun, Chen, and Xiumin As you've seen in the video the three former members left mainly because of the company and same goes for Baekhyun, Chen, and Xiumin. For year's EXO is not paid well by SM, I'm not good at explaining so you can just search for it. The important part is they are still intact(9 members) Also expect a comeback next year!!
Well for d.o the amazing fact id that he can sing in 5 languages though he is not speaking English or Spanish, but now you should react to si fuars mia from his solo album
It was chen who sang the high note in monster, and also the tallest one is chanyeol not sehun. I think the rapper that u once mentioned that u like is chanyeol
Thanks for reacting to Exo guide. All members have solo projects which is very unique & has slight different flavour than EXO music. Each member's solo caters to different genres. Please react to Kai Film 1, Film 2, Confession and ICU (I See You), his dance practice - Reason, Peaches and Mmh.
Please react to below Kai master piece, they are Kai Highlight Medley of his 1st and 3rd Mini Album. You will get a glimpse of Kai's music 1. FILM :KAI 2. FILM : KAI ROVER
You mixed between the two rappers actually the youngest is Sehun he was on the far right in Killing voice and the other rapper is Chanyeol the one who plays multiple instruments was the tallest on the far left
droppin how I pronounce their names-- this can be the closest to how they say it if not acc✨ 1. Xiumin - Shoe Mean 2. Suho - Sue Ho 3. Yixing (Lay) - Ee shing 4. Baekhyun - Beck yon 5. Jongdae (Chen) - Jong De 6. Chanyeol - Chan yol 7. Kyungsoo (D.O.) - Kyung su 8. Jongin (Kai) - Jong een 9. Sehun - Se Hoon Thank you for checking out EXO btw 💕 your vid was in my reco bc of that 😅 & I get u w Kai I was one of downbad to him 😂😂
I can tell you're really not into vocals. Seems you couldn't wait for it to be over. So slowly Ive felt through all your reactions previously that you really just do Exo for the subs...and that's okay. You just wanted to know why Exo is so popular, and this video gave you that answer. You see the vast difference between Exo and Bts. And as Bts comes back, you can go to your favs with gusto. No love lost....
You said you liked Kai and Jimin as dancers. Once you’ve gone through the EXO group and singles videos, you should react to SHINee (pronounced as shiny) and discover one of the other phenomenal dancers, Taemin, their main dancer. You’ll be blown away by him too.
Chanyeol is the tallest not sehun 😅 Anyways thank u so much for reacting this Guide - u should react the individual guide 🥰 For the solo - please deep dive of all their solo - Please react D.O full album - EMPATHY album EXPECTATION album and he's Blossom album ❣️ Then next Baekhyun and all of the exo members. I'm only here for your reaction for EXO kpop emperor of kpop!
I don't know man, i just don't think you're into EXO, i.e. interested in vocals. You don't have to pretend for subs. We have seen many reactors like you. Just do your thing with your favs. I'm sure the armies will sub. EXO is a vocal-oriented group. So i don't think it's for you.
ohh wheres my comment ? did he deleted it? I'll just repeat my comments .. hes literally commenting about vocals and everything about exo without even meaning it.. hes like saying it just to get subs and views from exo-ls.. i dont onow if its just me or .. but that's what im feeling every time he uploads videos about exo..
Oh cmon grl Just don’t watch those reactors who u don’t like. It’s unnecessary to give them “advice” about how they should make their channels or what group they can to react to or what’s “for them”. Just leave quietly(!). All people express themselves differently and all of them r interested in different details in music. And u’ll never know who has deeper feelings about songs/music/dance/rap etc when they just watching things quietly. EVEN IF HE REALLY didn’t like EXO as much as U WHANT he liking them just go away. U shouldn’t leave such toxic comments for people who trying do or create something or trying find some new things for them. He can do whatever he wants without ur approval.
10:44 You can start from Baekhyun, the most popular as soloist, he released his new album 2 months ago so you can react to his MV "Pineapple slice". If you rather prefer to check out his first songs I recommend you " Un Village" And if you want something really choking then chek out baekhyun's "Bambi". He's an amazing soloist, all his songs are no skip.. Highly recommended 👌
Please react to kai's solo songs....mmh, rover and peaches. They are bangers❤ and also react to kai film 1 and 2 whuch has snippets of his albums, no one has done a thing like that😮
Hi! I really appreciate your reaction videos to EXO and thank you so much for that. I hope you could react on GUIDE TO EXO'S KAI (2020) by Cesar Oh, Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/osoN8nXiZB4/видео.htmlsi=_G7TVdOtVJ5HNRFd. Thanks in advance.
the worst in the group when it comes to dancing is actually chanyeol idk why the one that made this guide said it's suho chanyeol can barely do body rolls but i still love him tho lol
29:24 YES! Your right It was CHEN in the high note of ‘Monster’ in Killing Voice 💥
Up...
Yes, Chen is that guy who was hitting those crazy high notes in killing voice , the angelic voice ❤
29:40 It was Chen who always hit the high notes. In killing voice, he hit those high notes in Monster song. 😂😂
Not always tho. Baekhyun did in El dorado.
Probably he doesn’t know who is who, so according to your comment he’ll think it’s Chen whenever there is a high note
AND FYMI, EXO is the one who started concepts and story lines in kpop
Kai is that guy in kpop.....he has the perfect fancams you'll ever see....stage presence, dance, facial expressions, physique he gives it all 🥵
kai suck
According to what i've seen Exo were the 1st to have a storyline within their concepts
As you saw, EXO's fan color is "Cosmic Latte" (like the color of a latte coffee) -- Cosmic Latte is said to be the color that is created when you combine all the colors of the stars together. (As otherworldly beings, even EXO's official color is linked to the group's concept.)
EXO was one of the first Kpop artists to have a lightstick with bluetooth technology.
(When attending a concert fans now use an app to sink their seat number with their lightstick, so that the lighting technicians can have control of their lightstick.)
Although, some group's lightsticks aren't even sticks, but they are bracelets or watch-style lights that you can wear.
EXO is amazing, multitalented, singer & actor 👑👍
1.White Shirt with creazy ,angle voice guy in killing voice is Chen (high note in Monster).
2.Baekhyun (Becon) is gray hair in killing voice who sang high note in El darado.
Thank you for reaction to EXO.Looking for next video, please.
Solos - Start with Baekyun he just came out with 'Pineapple Slice'
Yes its Chen the one who you liked in Killing voice and did the Monster highnote
Please react to Kai-Film and Kai-Film Rover. It's just a masterpiece.
EXO really set the standard so high 😘👌
D.o is the guy you liked in the killing voice you said he was cute 😂 well he is! Although he wouldn't agree 😂😂😂. So, he has this song which is fully in Spanish would you believe? It's called "si fueras mia" and 2 English versions of Korean songs in English. "Rose" his Korean title track but the English version and exo's for life but in English. He's the best. An RnB king
I’ve watched all your EXO reaction! I need more more more and moreeeeee🔥🔥🔥
All EXO members (except Sehun) have solo albums
Suho has 3 "self portrait", "Grey suit" and "1 to 3".
Xiumin has 1 "Brand new"
Lay has many but I don't remember the names, the first one is called "Lose control"
Baekhyun has 5, 4 in Korean and 1 in japanese: he recently released the last one. "City lights", "delight", "Bambi", "Baekhyun", "Hello world"
Chen has 5, 4 in korean and 1 in japanese: "April and a flower", "Dear my dear", "Last scene" "Polaris" and "Door"
Chanyeol had his solo debut at the end of August with his album "Black out" it has 2 Music videos "Black out" and "Back again"
D.O has 3 albums " Empathy", "Expectations" and "Blossom"
Kai has 3 albums "Kai", "Peaches" and "Rover"
Sehun doesn't have a solo album yet, but he has a solo song "On me" from EXO-SC album "One billion views" (the mv is short but the song is longer in the album)
Yes it was CHEN hitting those high notes on Killing Voice
Main vocal/rapper means they do the most important or technically complicated part of a song. For vocals means the high notes, runs, etc. They also get the hook of the first chorus and the bridge of the song. EXO has 3 main vocalist (Chen, Baekhyun and D.O) and 1 main rapper (Chanyeol)
Lead vocalist means they have (sometimes) the most quantity of parts, and sings the 2nd part of the chorus or the parts before high notes in the bridge.
There are many EXO songs when the only rapper is Chanyeol (most comonly are slower songs, rnb style which fits Chanyeol's deep voice like Baby don't cry, and She is dreaming, for example)
Sub vocalist tend to have the least amount of parts but focus on the harmonies, which are the backbone of EXO'S songs.
LOL)
D.O. is pronounced like the letters.
Multi-talented EXO❤
They are just amazing individually and more amazing as a group❤❤❤
you're probably officially an EXO-L 😂 welcome on board ❤️ you need to start with Kai solo (Rover , peaches , mmmh), Lay (Lit, the Veil) and Baekhyun(Candy, Bambi, pineapple slice) since you like dancing
Xiumin is pronounced like shyoo-min (most Americans just say shoe-min but there is a slight pronunciation of the i)
Baekhyun is kinda like bacon.
Every EXO member is in their own right a true artist!
It was chen who hit the high note in monster
Exo❤
The one you liked in the killing voice was Chen 😂
I Love EXO because All EXO Member is Multitalented (Singing, Acting & More ^^)
Unfortunately, the fact that Chen is married with children -- he has 2 little girls now -- and still a member of an idol group doesn't sit well with a lot of fringe fans.* When it comes to the Korean public there are different standards for what it means to be an idol.
(Why I mention this, is because this may be why Chen gets a little more backlash from the Korean public as an idol, because he didn't follow the "proper" order of things.)
There are actually more Kpop idols who are married with kids than you think.
(I mean all those things are great and it's meaningful when they win, but that's not what second gen. are all about.)
You can even see a difference in their fandoms. Second gen. fandoms get along with each other and they are friends with all the fandoms.

Baekhyun is a actor too

Korean fans were really something when their idols get into relationship.
Same goes with Chen when he announced his engagement in year 2020, Korean fans even petitioned infront of SM Entertainment building and request for Chen’s removal from the group.

Some extra info's
*Baekhyun is a quadruple million seller now
*EXO-CBX is formed because they have the same heights😆
*There are three CEO's
-Lay owns Chromosome Entertainment Group
-DO-SOOSOO Entertainment
-Baekhyun -INB00 (Chen and Xiumin are not under SM anymore but in Baekhyun's Company)
*Lay left SM Entertainment but he is still a member of EXO, meaning he just leave the company not the Group.
*Same thing happened to D.O, Baekhyun, Chen, and Xiumin
As you've seen in the video the three former members left mainly because of the company and same goes for Baekhyun, Chen, and Xiumin. For year's EXO is not paid well by SM, I'm not good at explaining so you can just search for it.
The important part is they are still intact(9 members)
Also expect a comeback next year!!

Gotta watch KAI: FILM
I can tell you're really not into vocals. Seems you couldn't wait for it to be over. So slowly Ive felt through all your reactions previously that you really just do Exo for the subs...and that's okay. You just wanted to know why Exo is so popular, and this video gave you that answer.
You see the vast difference between Exo and Bts. And as Bts comes back, you can go to your favs with gusto. No love lost....
That's why i already unsubs. I can feel that he really not into exo he doing because of the subs.
next EXO-ACCUSTIC MEDLEY PLEASE
You said you liked Kai and Jimin as dancers. Once you’ve gone through the EXO group and singles videos, you should react to SHINee (pronounced as shiny) and discover one of the other phenomenal dancers, Taemin, their main dancer. You’ll be blown away by him too.
Chanyeol is the tallest not sehun 😅

I want to reccomend you tvxq, red velvet, teayon killing voices they are from the sm ent as well.
I don't know man, i just don't think you're into EXO, i.e. interested in vocals. You don't have to pretend for subs. We have seen many reactors like you. Just do your thing with your favs. I'm sure the armies will sub. EXO is a vocal-oriented group. So i don't think it's for you.
right.. unemotional reaction like has no sincerity in his comments.. thats what im seeing from him
ohh wheres my comment ? did he deleted it?
I'll just repeat my comments ..
hes literally commenting about vocals and everything about exo without even meaning it.. hes like saying it just to get subs and views from exo-ls.. i dont onow if its just me or .. but that's what im feeling every time he uploads videos about exo..
Oh cmon grl
Just don’t watch those reactors who u don’t like.
Sorry but the way you skipped some part was make the information jump not as clear as the video wanna tell, too bad.
10:44 You can start from Baekhyun, the most popular as soloist, he released his new album 2 months ago so you can react to his MV "Pineapple slice".
If you rather prefer to check out his first songs I recommend you " Un Village"
And if you want something really choking then chek out baekhyun's "Bambi".
He's an amazing soloist, all his songs are no skip.. Highly recommended 👌
Yes please 🙏 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Pineapple slice, Bambi, and Un Village are the best recomendation
It's still a question to me though why you skipped clips from Kai.
That is a very old video. So many things have changed since then
Please react to kai's solo songs....mmh, rover and peaches. They are bangers❤ and also react to kai film 1 and 2 whuch has snippets of his albums, no one has done a thing like that😮
