the black shield supposed only to pop off when you lock it down with the lever. not before. you aren't supposed to press the thing down with fingers to make it go, but use the lever.
Great vid, thanks! Was thinking about getting this same mobo. With the large cooler installed, are you still able to easily access the heat-shielded NVME slot below it, or would you need to install that prior to the cooler?
thanks man i was worried about my rgb rams now after seeing this i am feeling greate because i am getting the same motherboard and can you tell me is that air cooler is the same size as the thermalright preesles 120 se argb
Mistakes made in video. The backside bracket has 3m adhesive strips to stick it to the motherboard socket, they were not used. Major mistake of not cleaning the CPU and heatsink with alcohol after handling with hands that are naturally have oil. This will reduce the effectiveness of the of the heatsink. Also, thermal paste should be spread evenly over the CPU.
thnaks, couldn't figure out which freaking color spacer to use with intel 1700!!!
Helpful. Thank bro
Thanks! I bought this fan for my first pc build, I'll follow your tutorial. Can i see a test of this as well?
