Very interesting piece of kit! The difference in tone on the bass is surprisingly big! I don't really like when it's pushed to distortion on guitar, kinda sounds like it's crapping out in a non-pleasing way especially on the transients. Also, the fades between the bypassed and active audio were kinda long and because of that you can hear the phasing in a distracting way, especially audible on the cymbals. Thanks for fun videos anyways! :)
@@electrosoundlab listen a little more carefully. there is a spring type verb on the drums wen the compressor is on and not at all when its off. yet another poorly done and useless youtube demo.
I need two of these asap!
Need 2 of them 🥵
Extremely helpful demonstration-thank u! What was your bass recording chain?

Huge!
omg yes!
why is there reverb on the drums when the 660 is on and not when its off?
There is no Reverb on it. The compressor lifts up the sustain of the drumkit and the microphone captured roomreflections.

I know.. super silly. We wanna hear a level matched A/B not an overly processed B with reverb and phaser lol. Damn funny
Sweet Dot
There is some kind of procesing here except comp.
Damn, I feel poorer already.
Why do you add all the other effects when u disengage bypass ? That’s just confusing and silly.
This guys hair hahahahahahah
Wait, piece of kit? This is a kit? I dont think thats the correct terminology. Piece of hardware yes, Kit would imply you build it yourself.
noun
1.
a set of articles or equipment needed for a specific purpose.
Are you living under a rock? ☠️ Everyone refers to outboard audio gear as ‘a piece of kit’ 🫶
It’s a term used across the pond.
